Tead's Indoor-ish, Winter, Hempy, OGK, SOG

Been a while....

Bloom. 3 plants. LF-Blue Dream. LR- Crit+2.0 and Ultradog. RF- a super sexy Dale's Bagseed just moved into bloom.

Veg. lotta plants, clones, AND SEEDLINGS!!! I may have found my summertime seed popping zone. The tube carrying AC to the new veg area. Nice little dark area. Easy to stuff some seeds in a shot glass and place it there. Yowsa!

Here's an OX growing in a 5gal. It's lacking the inner growth and fullness because of it's previous home. It's just boomed since the new room and, while I was gonna let it get crazy, @Tead'ssmokingbuddy suggests I make the move based on it's height. I think he's right. It'll get shoved over soon.

Some of the leaf colors look off in veg... it's the camera/lighting. All of the shrubbery is looking stunning. The increased lighting and lowered temps have worked out incredibly.
Glad your room (cough... That you perhaps had some assistance on) is working out. The plants look very happy with the move. That's cool that you found a place to pop seeds in the summer. It sucks to be limited on when you can pop them.

My new advice to anyone regarding improving your grow..... improve your space. Do it now. Don't accept and personal excuses. Just do it.
I'm currently running twice the lighting with a smaller AC unit doing 1/2 the work. I feel like beating myself in the head with a large blunt object. I can't believe I hadn't done this sooner. I'm honestly feeling ashamed about the energy I've pissed away.

Old temps. This was a rainy/cloudy week... you can see it as the week progresses.

New temps. That bump up on Monday was me checking the temps somewhere.

I so wish I could display it on a monthly level.

Oh... here's the exterior temps of the tin shed my veg and bloom room live inside of..... early morning waterings are preferred. I've seen it beyond 120 fairly frequently.

I tried to get you to do this when we did the Blum room. Can I hit you in the head with a large blunt object now?

Ahhh... my friend.... the years pass but the understanding still eludes....
The paths I traverse are chosen by the gumbo we swim in.
In this specific case, I might note many things. I might point to the fact that this is all completely frowned upon by the gumbo we share. When one produces more, doesn't that just raise one's profile as a target? There are many other points... many... that drive the decisions I make and the actions I take. We discuss them over endless bowls. Ain't it fun?
I might also note... yes... you've been beating me with that blunt object verbally for many years now while I've often responded with words similar to the ones above... tho recently have given up the response in favor of a simple "Indeed".

In the mean time.... Tead gets his science on this morning. Thanks to TSB's efforts, I have some really nice room to play with.

The source of the science experiment.
Note clone cut date (7/6) and today's date (7/17). 11 days is damn nice in my book.

The experiment in action. Left- airpump and perlite. Middle- perlite alone. Right- pea gravel with about 2" of perlite on top.

Laissez les bons temps rouler!

You ever thought about one of these areoponic cloners? I’ve had over 90% success with a true lazy gardener’s level of effort. No dome or anything just tap water a little z7 and two weeks of waiting.
:passitleft:

My thoughts on my aeroponic cloner. It’s mostly been working well for me once I figured out the boundaries. I thought I’d mention it here because there’s been some sunny weather and the veg room (inadequately vented because it’s usually freezing here) reached a bunch of days in the 90s. Cutttings still rooted fine.

Since I don’t have chlorinated water and use rain water from questionable cisterns, I boil the water for the cloner. Then I can get two or three weeks use out of the cloner. Usually just one round of clones. After that I need to sterilize the cloner and start again. Not really convenient for a lazy person- but maybe more convenient for those who have modern amenities like hot running chlorinated water, etc.
Cloning in perlite worked great for me too, most of the time, and probably if I applied the same newfound cleanliness ethic to it- would be even more reliable. But I’ve found that the aeroponic cloner works every time, as long as I don’t expect more than a round or two of clones out of it before cleaning again. I usually don’t have the luxury of failed cuttings without screwing up my finely balanced grow operation.

z7 is an additive to keep the water from growing green gunk, not sure what it does but after two or three weeks the water still looks pretty fresh. I also clean my cloner in between uses, but I just do a fairly quick wipe down with Clorox wipes and run the pump for a bit in fresh water, I have only used it for about 9 months now so it could still build up slime in the future but it's worked great so far, and honestly for the cost ($65 or so) I've gotten plenty of use out of it so far.

My cloning methods give me 100%, so I tend not to want to rock the boat.
I've employed bubbles many times in the past and probably kicked the tires on most setups.
Granted, I'm unwilling to stretch about and try new things at this point. I see no reason when I get 100% from stickin a stub in perlite... I'd love to apply more 'lazy factor' to any situation, but Tead's not seein an angle here.

Weas has some good words. Cloners, no matter the form, do require frequent cleaning. I clean everything with a touch of bleach between runs. Not nearly as formal as Weas's techniques... he needs to learn some laziness.... perhaps 20yrs from now he'll shift gears and get lazy, but he's a go-go kinda dude.... kinda has ta be.

Oh it was the seeds you were having issues with not the clones, gotcha. My reading comprehension is usually only as good as what I’m smoking on, which this week is very good.

OH DUDE... me too. Sometimes I just loose it all together and start 'crossing the streams' posting words meant for one thread on the wrong one.
