Tead's Indoor-ish, Winter, Hempy, OGK, SOG

Really? Not surprising.... nature rox after all... but it sure doesn't play well in my world.
1 for thread, 1 for just plain poo, maybe a 3rd for some sort of reproductive related reason Tead ponders.

I was just completing the sentence ala Monty Python :)

an insect with 3 buttocks.

I saw a small green Praying Mantis on the outside wall of the flower area yesterday.
It was nice to see, but where one insect goes, another may follow.

Indeed. My bonus....

Found on an inner branch. It had a belly full of green that was once my plant.

Already there. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I had success with the sns mite killer. I had to use it a bit longer and at a bit higher concentration then they recommend but with a good highish pressure shower, to knock the buggers loose and shake em up a little, some up close and personal raid missions with isopropyl alcohol and cotton balls/q-tips and the sns i managed to get rid of (and stay rid of) those voracious little bastards. Go get em Tead!

Bummer bout the worms and other critters. I use that Captin Jacks shit from Bonified with Spinosad one time 30+ days before harvest for them suckers. I've had bud worms every year since I moved here. Sept 1st I spray every year regardless. Stuff is systematic and lasts for up to 4 weeks.. And haven't seen one since.. It's real easy on a plant too. Even works for other pests. One product I found the easiest on all my plants is the Green Cleaner from Old Stage. The only product I wood feel even close to day of harvest shit... But then they are selling the stuff... Any organic substance has tars in them and are cancer causing,, and none are 'safe' to smoke......... Hell even pot isn't 'safe' to smoke. Take a big hit of weed and blow out thru a white teeshirt and see what color it leaves your shirt... Brown can't be good for your lungs.. Guess that all depends on whose sudy you read huh?

Bummer bout the bugs and GL getting rid of them.. Keepem Green

Morning my friend.....How are things way down in the Humidity Bowl? FYI I soaked two UD and two SSDD a few days ago. Looked like all were to remain hidden in their little shell until last night before lights out for the Ole Rooster, I peeked in and much to my surprise one UD was standing tall :cheer: All I can say is :thanks:. I may try some of the others to see if they want to come along for the ride.... You were top on the list of gardens this morning, so I'll ease on down the street......Ole Rooster 1 out for now....

Awesome! The UDs spread..... love it! I gotta say, it gives me no end of joy to spread the joy. A little birdie hints that more of those seeds may be falling my way. I dunno where they'll be spread next, but the idea really makes me happy.

I'm sure the others will be along shortly. Be sure to plan plenty of root and headroom for those SSDCs. I think they have the potential to grow enormous when given a large pot and plenty of space.

Tead chewed thru an entire 1qt (tho labeled 1gal!?!?) bottle of the SNS stuff on the bloom room plants and surfaces yesterday. Today, I'll be following with my own mix as I have no more of the SNS stuff. The veg tent showed no signs of infestation yesterday, so I left that task for today. Tead likes to mix his own instead of buying the fancy pre-mixed stuff. 2tsm Neem oil, 1tsp pyrethrin, and a few drops of soap to break up the oil. I'd add BT to the mix, but I only saw 1 caterpillar and I saw and chased it's moth the other day, so I feel all are accounted for. I'll also water with that mix as my watering source this round so that the Neem gets absorbed from the roots over a longer period.

Meh.... PITA.

Sorry about the bugs bud, I have them too. Not sure if the BD brought them over, but it's possible. Haven't noticed any symptoms until this S.Lime Cookies girl which I planted 4/7, but I know it's entirely possible I may have not noticed a smaller community of mites. So if it was me, I apologize, but it sounds like you are well equipped to knock them out. I will be fighting right along with you. I checked the clones and I didn't see the specks on any leaves, but I think I will spray them as a precaution once they are potted.

You're not my source. I wish I could blame someone else. The outbreak seems to have been contained in the bloom area. The male clone was in the veg tent... no bug action signs in there at all.... which amazes me, but whatever.
Spray away tho! Never safe enough when it comes to the borg invaders.

Well I feel a bit better knowing that I am not the bad guy here. I know you will have them whooped here shortly. I hit the second neem spray today and have dimmed the lights which lowered the temps. Heard that slows their maturation.

Yup... more heat, more activity. Generally, whenever you add energy (heat) to a system, it runs harder. Bugs seem to work that way too.
I've battled the borg with neem alone before... that's what drives me to use pyrethrin. I wouldn't be surprised to see you arrive at a similar destination as you walk the bug path. Generally I think of Neem as a protective treatment to keep bugs from establishing in your garden rather than a knock down agent..

I think I have a canned neem speech somewhere.... hang on, I'll dig.

Found it... typos and all...

Using it in flower can be done via applications to the medium rather than spray.
One would do well to consider a few things however.
First, Neem is very strong in both flavor and smell (used in toothpaste in India?!?!). You really want to try to finish it without use. I discontinue use in flower altogether. I feel the Neem incorporated in the plant from it's veg applications that I do via spray is sufficient to protect it during flower. When treating via soil or medium, I like to try to over flush during normal feedings towards the end of the life cycle in an attempt to flush out any remaining neem oil in the medium.
Second, spraying anything with water anywhere near my buds in flower is avoided at all times.

My routine....

Spray application: 2tsp neem oil +1tsp dawn dish soap (or whatever... I just like + use dawn) + 1gal water. Spray entire (especially up under leaves) plant with the mix until heavy and dripping wet.
Soil/medium application: This differs as roots uptake at a much lower rate. 4tsp Neem oil + 1tds dawn dish soap + 1gal water. Water as if feeding. Try to apply as evenly as possible to saturate the entire soil/medium mass fully.

Neem is an oil. Liquid soap is used to break up the oil and allow it to mix evenly with the water.

Morning Tead , It's something all the time.... bugs, heat always something to keep you on your toes. :passitleft: now that makes me feel better. FYI only one U D broke ground. She is doing well , thought I was going to loose her.... she had her helmet on and I tried to help it off  I tore off one side of her leave. Hells Bells she didn't even bat an eye, just threw out another and off and running. Neither of the SSDD broke, I'll try some more and hopefully one of those eggs will crack for Ole Rooster.
So I've 2 White Widow, 1 Pineapple Express, 1 LSD and the 1 U D auto. I like you have limited space in my garden so that being said I'm about full house.
Hope you have a great day my friend and give my regards to your funny little honey.:peace:

Some minor corrections...
SSDC - Sweet and Sour Devil's Crack fem autos.
-1 U D auto
UltraDog - reg photos... tho I've only run into 1 male.

I get the helmets allot. I think it's the light nature of my perlite only medium.... doesn't provide enough friction as the sprout moves thru it. I use a magnifying glass and a pair of tweezers to deal with it.
Man.... I hope those SSDCs pop for you... they're monsters. The UDs lack the plant and bud size that the SSDCs present, but they make up for it with smoke that will pound you into the couch.... I often have to put the UD down and back away.

The sweetie returns your warm regards and reminded me of the food over at the corner restaurant and how it was surprisingly good.

I put a White Widow seed down yesterday. Using my standard perlite as a seed starting medium with a touch of Osmocote+.
Works really well in the swamp. Been jones'in to do a WW for a while. I've tried them before, but it was long ago before I had my current grow methods in place, so I hope to give the strain a decent chance. It's been such a standard for so many years.
