Tead's Indoor-ish, Winter, Hempy, OGK, SOG

I'm good for about 6hrs... after that, I just can't stay there and try to sleep, so the java flow begins.
It works out well for me tho. I can do this in the mornings and still get a good bit done during the daylight. I cherish the quiet mornings. They let me work out my thoughts and plan my day some.
I have been damaged by many, many years of rising early. Started in my days wearing too much green and continued thru my 1's and 0's days. I guess you just get set that way after doing it for so long.
Tead,
you get up as I'm going to bed. :surf:

Hello, Tead and friends. What an awesome garden and cast of characters. I'm a long time listener, first time caller here; Sorry to introduce myself in your journal. But, this thread is what prompted me to join this community. Wanted to share that I cut DWC out of my life and converted to hempy pots, another sinner saved by Rev Tead and other hempy advocates! Utilizing a couple coffee cans (nice with the handles), and some store-bought planters. I did run into some 2.5 liter soda bottles at the dollar store, have 15 liters of orange faygo to drink before the next round starts, blech!

Pictures Dale. The Right Reverend Tead and his disciples love pictures, and you describe a lovely sight we'd appreciate seeing. :battingeyelashes:  Love the idea of the coffee cans. Hadn't thought of them.

Oh.... a hearty hello. Nice to see someone step out of the shadows and become a playmate. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Tead, your influence grows. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Many thanks, SweetSue. At my age, I SHOULD be more adept with this inter web machine. I have started a journal, and just attempted to link it in my signature. Many a forum faux pas in my near future, I predict. My purpose has quickly changed in the last few months, from personal enjoyment to trying to halt the progression of early on-set alzheimer's in my mother. Needless to say, I have been perusing your many helpful threads and will continue to do so. Hope to engage with you in the future!
Tead, I beg your pardon for using your journal again. Please, give us an update! At your earliest convenience, of course.

I'm just dying to give you a pesticide recipe and tell you to use only as much is necessary, and not a single 55 gallon drum more.

No but seriously, you picked a good journal to lurk through. Tead's neem oil recipe is awesome.

Already subbed in Dale. :battingeyelashes:

Thanks for the luv and reps y'all. It was fun to watch an auto go. I'll be doing more.
I saw what may be a seed on one of them. The most likely pollinator would be UD3, a discontinued UD pheno. Dunno what you get when you mix a hermie from UD3 with a flower on a SSDC fem, but we may get a chance to find out.
I have the plants in the drying box with a dehumidifier running near the box 24/7. The temps range from 75f to 95f and the humidity stays around 40%. Not optimal, but in a world where your humidity is way to high for them to dry without rotting, you do what ya gotta. I'm thinking they have 2 more days in there.

Your DDA is looking nice and dark. Mine look black in sunlight. How old is yours now?

Oh man... she's like solid black and shiny. That last shot I took of her was closest to what my eye sees.
A review of my log shows her planting on 2/23. The SSDCs were planted on 2/28. One apparently must wait patiently for the dark beauties.
Here's her first appearance in the garden. I started her in the big red post and then moved her to an Osmo 2L after she got some roots. Her sister didn't live.

Dude!!!! There's just NO WAY Dale Gribble would use his real name on the interwebby! Rusty Shackleford.... maybe.
Too funny. Next website that asks me for a username.... I'm goin with Rusty... oh yea!
Welcome along.... I'll peek over at your place. I always like to follow other hempy grows. You get bonus points just for referencing some Rev Tead.
I've just been totally digging the Osmocote+ feeding program lately. So easy! Drag some home from the store and kick some tires with it some time when you have lots of clones. A 2L with 5 or 6 grams of Osmo+, fed with water PHd to 5.5 every 2 days. Easy!
The Right Rev Tead enjoys the converts that dip their toes into hempy.... they often find it so simple, easy, and fun.... but I suspect you're not in need of further pontification.
Oh... and it's not a sin in the Hempy religion to just dump out the Orange Faygo... some might think it the preferred option. For me, it's Big Shot soda.

Tead, I beg your pardon for using your journal again. Please, give us an update! At your earliest convenience, of course.

Tomorrow is a feeding day... I'll be sure to grab shots. I think I have a Pineapple Chunk and an OGK getting sexy. It's kinda funny.... I had a chance to look at some old photos before the light upgrade in the veg tent. So dramatic.... so happy.
The garden all around grows a bit boring. Clone, replant, water, remove dead growth, harvest, dry, consume. I mean... it's a beautiful flow, but I'll have to scratch up some entertainment soon.

This morning's roundup with some focus on a few beauties.

Veg. Not much to peek at really... but it is the source of the waves breaking into my bowl, so it always deserves more love than I give it.

How bout a peek at one of those much maligned (by me) Pineapple Chunks.... she's an ugly sticky mess that I try not to touch, but you can easily see why I keep growing them.

Here's a look at some visiting genetics blooming for the first time in my world.
I've been burning her dirty girl mother lately, but she didn't develop properly. Tons of seeds from her... probably from the UD3 hermie.

Then we switch gears back to a heavy indica I've loved for a very long time now.

Off to the races!

Tead, do you top your plants?

Annnnd ? How did it smoke ? :lot-o-toke:

Not much to speak of yet taste or smell wise. It's still drying. That was a little branch that dried quicker than the bigger bits.
It gave me a nice high, but didn't sink me into the couch or anything.
It has a ways to develop before it gets anywhere near interesting.
Sure is pretty tho!

I've always been wary of the auto strains myself. They did introduce a strain that was equal to straight hemp to the mix. Sounded like some cutter on my dope. But those were Lowrider days. Harvests of 5-7 grams were not uncommon. And the herbs were half assed quailty, at best. More novelity than a crop. But they are getting close in quaility to regular photo plants, or the claims are. But this year I happen to have some seeds and our wet weather here,, might be the ticket. Just have to grow more plants. GL and Keepem Green
