Tead's Indoor-ish, Winter, Hempy, OGK, SOG

Then why is there no legal mj In the southeast ?? And states rights does not & never did give one human being the right to own another human being ! Sorry !!

I tire of the entire affair most days. The ideas that have been presented in support of the status quo have been a bit ridiculous and desperate. I had a chance to have an intelligent discussion yesterday with a thinking human that was raised locally regarding the issue. I have alot of respect for her, but she was spewing the canned arguments to me regarding the subject which were really easily dissipated with the slightest light of common sense... but she hadn't exercised her common sense regarding the issue.... she was just running with her heart. I forced her to think about it for just one moment.... and when we parted company she was shaking her head some still, trying to hang onto how she felt but now using some neurons and having some issues. No doubt she'll bring a few more arguments to the conversation before she gets there... but she's a smart woman and knows the difference betwixt her heart and head... I suspect I've planted the seed of thought that may cause a pattern change in her thoughts.
It was quite special for me to even get the chance to have an intelligent and open discussion with a thinking human being from the other side of the issue. Such discussions are very rare as the supporter's arguments are generally based in feelings and traditions... logic and common sense require an open mind to be effective.

I couldn't agree with you more. Those big panels generating all that heat, and they claim they run cooler. Great light though, and your plants will sing songs of greater trichomes. Have you seen what Shiggity is playing with these days? He's building his own bad-ass unit. Check it out Tead. It'll make your eyes glaze over. :laughtwo:

You're a brilliant man with a knack for DIY. I await the unveiling. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I'd blush, but I already have a plan in place... one that avoids the implementation of ducting and fans!
A sly Tead has a trick up his sleeve... yes indeed. Not tellin... just cause it's more fun.
Shigs was talkin about it the other day.... I've not checked his thread recently... thanks for the tip.

I saw a COB LED build on YouTube and the guy used a long narrow aluminum heat sink, similar in shape to a four bulb T5 fixture. IDK why someone hasn't thought of it yet, but they can be mated to a register box on each side and tape the fins with aluminum tape to create channels for air to flow through. Even when the LED drivers are affixed to the heatsink, your traditional ducting would then be able to cool the panel. I'm really surprised I haven't seen anything like this on the interwebs.

One can think of many fun designs. I like the idea of lining a Cooltube with strip lights.
Dammit... These slacking LED manufacturers are gonna force me to make my own damn light. Either that, or start visiting some physical violence upon them until they change their wicked ways.

I kind of like my new toy. Just a drive by. Keepem Green

Oh Woody, you reminded me! Kyle remembered to send me the tracking numbers. My panel from the MOTY will FINALLY arrive today. I need to tell my crew the good news. :yahoo:

So... the SSDCs have been flushed twice over the past 4 days. I will no longer apply water to them. If I had a dark space that was cool, I'd be tempted to slide them into darkness for a few. There are two SSDCs in the red bucket.

Dante's is not the spot of my memories, but damn.... a billboard.... really?!?! So jealous!

I'm tracking down some 2 liter bottles and some black spray paint today. I'll need to be making some of those cool stands you "designed" for yours too. I need more hempy pots running, and the vinegar bottles take too long to empty out. I use vinegar instead of fabric softener, but there're only so many wash loads in a month, even with the daughter using it too.

I don't drink anything that comes in this size bottle, and the daughter told me they finally stopped buying any and just tossed all the empties. Drats! Missed that opportunity by mere minutes!

You have me hooked on this hempy thing you know. That was mighty sneaky of you, enticing me like that. :laughtwo:

I find myself drinking more Pepsi than normal these days. I like the Pepsi bottles... Coke has a curve that makes removing roots after the grow harder. You might consider using duct tape instead of paint... the paint chips off over time. If you use tape, apply 2 layers first and drill the hole after... it'll be cleaner. Be sure to cover the bottom with 2 layers too.

It's hard not to get hooked on a quick and easy 2L OsmoHempy. I'm gonna try one with tap water soon.... wouldn't that be nice.

Ya know.... those were just some bits floating around my world... leftovers from deck creation. I'm sure you'll find some way to support them... they kinda need it.

I imagine they get a little top-heavy, if we're lucky, that is. :laughtwo: I have some bits I can make work.

Got ours at a redemption center. Every bottle , can or jug has a 5 cent value. I told them they were for a school project for my kid. And I used duct tape on mine instead of paint. i love growing like that !!:surf:

Dude, they got billboards on the freeways with specials they change weekly. There are really too many cannabis stores around. Hell like 5 to 1 over the state run liquor stores. After 8 or 9 at night you can't get Jack Daniels,, but you can find 10 cannabis stores open. Must be 10 within a mile of here. Keepem Green

Cob light is white which contains a lot of green and yellow. We used to think plants didn't use very much green but it turns out that isn't true and they can use somewhere around 70%. I notice with my blurples that light bleaching seems to happen more easily than under white LED. I think that's because of the full spectrum light in modern white LED. Plants seem to sense things better and respond more appropriately with white in there.

I still believe in supplemental light in the form of red (660nm), far red (730nm) and blues and UV down below on the spectrum (400 area). But plants do love white light!

Hang on folks... it's been a busy morning.
I want to give the visiting genetics some extra love, plus, this is the first auto I've ever done in my life.... so all combined it leads to many photos.... sorry.

SSDC trichs on both plants showed at least 20% amber with most others cloudy. The fresh hair growth had slowed to almost non-existent. It was time.

PHEW!!!
A little music from WWOZ joined me for my morning tasks. They had an in studio brass band quartet. It was a pretty mellow way to spend a clipping session.

Oooo..... Glad I backtracked. I missed this and I was just getting ready to cross the street to buy paint. I'll go with the duct tape instead. I like the duct tape on the vinegar bottles. I'm interested in seeing if one bottle works better than the other. The vinegar bottles are lower vertically but also wider horizontally. I believe they hold similar volumes of perlite.

You realize I'll have to order more perlite now that you have me so hooked. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Excellent harvest. Reps+ :bravo: Liked seeing all that purple in them. You're tasting colorful buds now Tead. You'll be spoiled beyond belief. I've never been able to look back. Your DDA is looking nice and dark. Mine look black in sunlight. How old is yours now?
