Tead's Indoor-ish, Winter, Hempy, OGK, SOG

Ok.... let's chat about bloom lighting for a moment.
New real world garden measurements bring me to 19.5 sq/ft.
Lights available.... 1000w dimable HPS, 2xMars 300's, various fluro options, an LED light in the wind flowing my way... tho I forget it's wattage. Side note... gotta thin the lighting herd... the count of things I'm not using is exceeding the count of things I am using.
I'm not gonna concern myself much with watts/sqft. Instead, I'm gonna use the chart below....

HPSGraphPAR4.jpg

At this exact moment, I'm running the 1000w dimable at 75% (750w) alone.
The plant canopies closest to the bulb are at 18". The furthest in the 24"-28" range. I'll be raising the outer plants by about 8" once I get things settled.
I'm tentatively planning to add the 2 mars units. I'll mount them from the top of the area hanging near each end of the cooltube pointing down. This kind of forms one long light with the LEDs on both ends roughly illuminating 1/2 the area, and the big HPS in the middle.
I'm a little worried about the electrical load, but those issues will become evident quickly. The Mars units consume ~150w each. If this upgrade triggers a power upgrade, I'm gonna be mildly irritated.... any upgrade in that arena will require digging, conduit, and an electrician. I'm currently powering my disco lights and AC with 2 extension cords from 2 different 110 circuits.

This is really makin my brain hurt this morning.

Oh... and I think our summer humidity has settled in. The termite hatch went off 2 days ago.... a pretty reliable signal.
Storm blew thru, so the temps are crazy low, but check out those 24hr humidity numbers.

Whoa!!!! Damn!!! :laughtwo: I'm impressed with Mother Nature, but it surprises me every time that I still think in the back of my head "I gotta move there!" :laughtwo:

What are you planning with the Advanced panel? That one puts off a decent amount of heat (it's 350 watts) and a whole lotta light. You made me think I need to do a check on the draw on my breaker. Nah, come to think of it I cut back significantly on draw when I switched the grow to Timbers.

Maybe just to be sure..........

I would toss those mars lights in for spectrum right away and bring in the hps as needed. Plants want spectrum more than watts. Keep the hps low temps low and run as much spectrum light as you can for best results. That's what I am doing

Run the leds first and hps when you need to to keep watts down

I am in contact with my old dear friend and the flying nun 

Those dot's don't quite connect for me. Perhaps and Overgrow reference? Perhaps 'my old dear friend' is John... since we're in the Flying Nun era.... but dunno. Sounds fun in it's vagueness and randomness... two attributes I like to toss around myself.

When did overgrow shut down? I remember that's where I started studying all this.

Edit - I could've sworn I looked a couple years ago and the url was gone. It's there now though. Disregard above.

A little birdie whispered in my ear.... Diamond Series XML 350 said little birdie Sue.

I could run it in bloom with the HPS cranked down to 75%/750W.
I could replace the HPS with the 350 and augment with 2 Mars 300s. I kinda like the cooltube tho.
I could use it as a single piece in my veg tent replacing everything else. This would also leave the Mars units for bloom augmentation.

Each option has pluses and minuses. I may have to wait and judge it's running temp before I settle on a path.
Meh.... the decision will require many bowls no doubt. Boohoo.

You do know that BOG seeds are available in various marketplaces.... yes?

I've n3ever really seen the ones I want available, they always say out of stock.

I heard that it came back online a little while ago, but i haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

This morning's feeding photos.

The outdoor fun... pardon the low light.
The Blue Dream mother. Originally HB. Kinda might be showing signs of veg.... small curly leaves in buds getting more numerous and larger.

And an OGK in a big PVC tube that should have a ton of room to get huge. I have monstrous hopes for her.

Dats it man. Jazzfest just cranked up and the wind is totally wafting the sound right into my lap... even vibrating my bones a touch.
