Yeah I go through a lot more weed with that vape pen than I would smoking. That's partly why I asked about the leftover 'poo'. Seems like I'm leaving a lot behind. But the high is nice and clean.
If I get the energy I might start a thread on the Kind Pen. Though not having any sort of vape experience, I wouldn't be the greatest one to write a review and have nothing to compare it with really. I'm just curious to hear other thoughts on it and how other people use it.
I find that mine comes open in my pocket fairly often, spilling all the good stuff and leaving me empty handed when I go to use it. About my only complaint though- other than the withdrawal when the battery is charging.

Psssssst....

Happy Mardi Gras!

Life has changed a touch... in a good way. Got the 2 units across the river all rented out. One of the leases starts tomorrow. I've got to get ACs mounted, clean some floors, hook up a washer/dryer, install shades, fart fan install, and a new toilet seat to install (don't ask... it's a thing I do when a new tenant moves in).
As an added bonus, I broke a chain on my fine ride.... no option to fix it 'till wednesday. Makes it tough to chase the Indians this morning.
Random walking parades will be rolling thru the Faubourg Marigny and Bywater today. Caught one yesterday (Lundi Gras) with some neighbors and another friend as I was ending my daily run.

I'm a hair away from installing the AC. Temps have hit deep into the 90s in both veg and bloom. I'm generally about 10-15 degrees above the outside temps. We've been floating into the 80s outside, so the time nears. We'll be warm today and tomorrow, but clouds will cut the UV, so I should be good for the next 2 days. The forecast calls for cooler air after that.
Damn I'm tired of dealing with the heat.

Busy busy.

I know some folks smoke the ABV after vaping. I toss it on the ground. I've tried smoking it... pass.
Mine has not come open once. Perhaps yours actually has a faulty silicon ring. Mine's snug as a bug in a rug. You might chase the support angle with the TruVu folk.... or one might apply one's pliers in a very gentle way.

So.... feeling like opening my brain a bit this Fat Tuesday.

The city is already very active. Zulu rolls at 8, Rex at 10 followed by the truck parades. This is also occurring in various communities. I hear Mobile has a very active MG scene. The weather is great for the crowds... even some nice overcast to cut down on the sunburn action some. Sirens fill the morning as various groups and potentates are escorted around the city. Music joins it of course. I heard a banjo playing somewhere earlier.

I'm gonna put some more seeds down today. Doing a ton of smaller 2Ls leads to a more active breeding program. I sure am diggin the 2Ls so far. There was some initial concern as I moved to them.... it felt like the waves in my SoG were missing some beats... but now that all the 2Ls are coming along, I feel much more comfortable.

The weather has been giving me some cloning challenges. I can deal with hot and steamy... I can deal with cold and dry... I can even deal with cold and humid, but I have some real issues when we dance betwixt the three within the scope of a week. Meh!

Osmo presents more nutrient level swing from heat than I was expecting. Mostly I've been ignoring the existing issue and correcting it when making new pots. I started in the 8-10g/2L in the cooler weather, but now I'm down around 6-8g/2L depending on strain. Osmo does have many benefits, but one must understand and deal with the challenges.
As a side note, the Osmo feeding program does present challenges when recycling the medium. The Osmo requires quite a bit of attention to remove. Picked up a new bag of perlite... 18$ vs the attention needed..... well, you just know the lazy gardener's gonna cheat. It would bother the granola eating Oregonian in me, but it's really just dirt so it doesn't bug me so much when it hits the garbage can.

Get out there and squeeze the day. Lent begins at midnight!

I tried Sue's vape pen in Jamaica. I have a different model. I love the smooth hit and the taste I get. But the high seems dull to me compared to a bong rip. I guess that's what I get for smoking out of nothing but bongs for over a decade.

I was just mentioning today that the vaporizers don't give me the soaring high I'm looking for or the pain relief I need in the same way that a bong does. That pen came in real handy for Jamaica, and it's my preferred toy when I go out to walk along the river.

Welcome little ones.

Look at that timing!!! Just in time for the celebration. I take that as an auspicious sign Tead. Autos don't demand the intensity of nutrients photos do, so with that caution in mind, get ready to be blown away by the beauty that is Dark Devil Auto. They're vigorious as any seeds I've run. Hearty plants that are incredibly forgiving. The guys on the DDA thread can help you work out particulars on nutrients. I believe we even had someone leave a detailed outline of his entire grow, and I believe it was using bottled nutrients.

You're going to be pleasantly surprised by these beauties Tead. :battingeyelashes:

Thanks. I've been saving it. I haven't done anything with it yet. Yes it does smell alright. I thought there might be some use for it ;) Weird how the smell of the bud changes/disappears when you vape it. Where does the smell actually go?

The smell is determined by the terpenes, and they start boiling off first, so taste and smell are the first thing to go. However, the major cannabinoids take longer to heat and vaporize. That's why there's so much potency in the ABV. It's not being used to its fullest potential. I eat mine like popcorn. That way nothing goes to waste.

"Leave no cannabinoid behind!"

I can almost feel the energy through my phone. MG is just amazing in the Big Easy. The fact that you have a front row seat makes me a little jealous. Since you have some rental property, I'll have to keep that in mind since this is my 3rd marriage. lol I might fuck up. You never know. lol

Cheers Tead

You just let me know when you need to depart from that clean fresh world and get ur gritty on.

Seeds down this afternoon. Interesting stuff.

2ea Nicole Kush x Moroccan reg
Details about this specific mix are thin.
Words from the folks at DNA Genetics regarding the NK side of the seeds.
"DNA Genetics has teamed up with our good friends over at Marimberos to offer the first official release from the Marimberos collective with the brand new flavour, Nicole Kush. This strain is a cross of Nicole from Marimberos and Kosher Kush from DNA Genetics. Packing a strong indica punch Nicole Kush is definitely one for the true connoisseurs. Super dense nugs with very low maintenance with frosty trichomes with blue terpenes. This special and unique plant has a long history of legendary water hash and BHO extractions."

2ea Sweet & Sour Devil's Crack
Words that came with them....
"SSDC = Sweet & Sour Devil's Crack, an F1 creation of my own, crossing DDA fem pollen to a fem Mephisto Sour Crack. So far only one has been grown, leans heavily to the Mephisto side."

Should be a fun ride.

I want to thank for keeping your Mardi Gras spirit trickling around all year round. That might seem normal to you in The Big Easy, but it's very special in my book.

Since you called this thread a winter grow - and winter is waving goodbye early this year - What are your grow plans for the rest of the year?

How is the 100% perlite working out? I have a cutting in 1L Airpot too and water it twice a day with about 50ml of water and root juice. Perlite can be watered as often as pleased when roots are developed right? Ph should be hydrolike arround 5,2 or 5,5 right?

Welcome along SN. It's a very friendly room. If you're lucky, the locals will show off a bit for a newbie to the room with witty words and comments. Seems the winter gloom has been descending on a few lately, but all this will pass.

I'll take the moment to toss out the standard warning....
I grow in a hugely warm and wet world. My growing techniques are unique to my corner of the swamp mostly. The heat and humidity impact every single aspect of my grow.... from seed selection to drying and curing.

Been using the perlite for years. It has pluses and minuses. Just today I had a seedling push up an out a bit.... just sank her back down a bit. I've often said "you can't overwater in pure perlite"... I mean, I guess you could if you didn't have any drainage... but not normally.

I'm my garden, I use hempy pots. I find that the res in the bottom allows water to wick up thru the pot naturally as it evaporates out of the top. When I thicken my mix with verm, this seems to slow and rot can form.... but my pots are frequently above 90f.

I use a drift method with my nutes. I try to allow my PH to drift between the range of absorption for various nutes between waterings, but I'm currently on a 3 day schedule and the PH drifts up between waterings/feedings. Been starting at about 5.3, but I'm about to change to a 2 day cycle and I'll shift my PH up to 5.4.

Lots of activity around the garden and my world in general. The weather is bumping up hard and the spring fests are around the corner. Busy busy busy!

Nice! I see no annulment in the future, but then, few do.

There are many special things about the city. Sharing them here keeps them in mind, thus allowing me to ignore some darker aspects. I really am happy to provide the occasional peek. I only wish I could provide more or even a real feel instead of the photographic version.

Yes... the winter grow. We discuss that moniker issue every year at some point. Very traditional of you to bring the subject up.
I'll shortly fall into the summer mode. The AC will come into play... I think I actually installed it backwards last year. Venting and air flow will shift up some. I might have some lighting changes in the near future.... so that may shift both the heat and lumen issues some.
Then there are some longer term plans... too far out to speak of yet as they all brew in the pot.

Lent rolls in tonight at midnight. The cops on horses and garbage trucks will roll down Boubon at midnight tonight.... pushing the tourists into the bars and taking the first pass at the piles of debris.

The shifting weather has been causing some bumps.....

But mostly things are just rolling along. I offer further proof that there is no such thing as a grow space that's 'large enough'

GROW - "become larger or greater over a period of time; increase"
ROOM - "a part or division of a building enclosed by walls, floor, and ceiling"

GROWROOM - a word containing a fair amount of internal conflict.

Alright thanks, doesnt sound like a thing i would want water by hand in my garden. Not enough time unfortunatelly. I think the weather will do rest for a perfect chaos. So i count this clone as a lil experiment and stick to other mediums.

I don't know... the perlite does dry out pretty fast, but it also retains moisture fairly well. I've got a perlite reveg going. It used to be on autowatering when it was in flower. Hey t now that it's in the veg room where I don't have the auto watering setup, I just hand water. True- it's a small plant and not back to growing full blast yet- but the pot stays heavy for four or five days no problem. Early days still- but I think it may be possible that you could handwater without a lot of trouble- especially if you had a large pot.
