Tangwena's Malawi-Style Cob Cure: Fermented Cannabis

Chewing is her preferred method. She eats about .2 grams and she says that keeps her "normal". A few times she has taken a hit of flower on top of that and it always ends up being too much. She has to smoke cannatonic after that to bring her back.
Who is your Cannatonic from Neiko?

Hi y'all! Guess who's come to play? Wrapped my first cob just minutes ago. I borrowed a friend's dehydrator for the sweat stage. I'm cobbing some Lemon Candy I grew 12/12 from seed in coco. Just harvested yesterday, so learning about this was timely. (Thanks, Van Stank!)

I'm really excited to see how it turns out. I'm unfamiliar with this strain, since it was a free seed I decided to experiment with.

Welcome Mac, glad to see you made your way over and jumped right in the deep end sistah!!

I've got my 1st indica dominate strain and some Durban Poison that will be ready to cob tonight, I'd like to try one of your varied methods.
Hi my friend yes its the pre drying thats the kicker here its more dry than for sweating. You need to keep them warm 30c plus, they will sweat but much slower.

So you had a taste of the real effects ha ha. I have found people who smoke ( I no longer do) have to use higher doses to overcome their tolerance from smoking.
Friends who dont smoke find smaller doses strong enough without smoking so it may be you need higher doses.

If you stop smoking eventually you will discover a whole new world of getting high from chewing small doses of cob.
Unfortunately while you still enjoy smoking that door will remain closed, but it is something to look forward to when you finally stop smoking.
When I still smoked about 10 years ago I was still very happy with the effects but believe me the clean effects are some thing very different, like a new drug and once you get into it smoking will no longer satisfy your craving for the effects.

So I had my 1st terrorific experience chewing the cob. So far chewing them hasn't given me the euphoria I've been seeking. It seems to take about 3 hours to really feel anything. I've been chewing .5-.6 grams per dose. Sunday while harvesting I chewed .55 grams of the Malawi x Panama cob (3 week cure) I was right at the 3 hour mark and the freight train hit me, no warning just BAM! I started to feel flushed then the tunnel vision hit, my heart started racing and it felt like it was going to come out of my chest. My hands were shaking to the point I couldn't trim. I felt a kind of panic coming on thinking if this is just starting I'm in for a pretty scary ride. I closed my eyes and took some deep breaths and talked myself down. The best way I can describe it is a giant rush of adrenaline. This panic stage lasted about 20-30 minutes then I settled into a nice buzz for the next 6-7 hours. I have a new found respect for these cobs.

Did you notice the energy level for them 6-7 hours? Just seems like there is plenty of gas in the tank. The mind is going Mach 10 also, just can't remember it.

You got that right I take short hand notes if I want to remember stuff about the high.
Like today I'm warn out mentally but I can look back on my notes.
All i know for sure is I washed half the walls in the house. Its the first time I've ever done it and they really needed it.

Serious tripping weed but not enough clowns for me 5 out 5 for tripping but 2 out of 5 for soul.
If I ever feel the need to trip like on blotter acid this will do it I took 4.8g once its aged this will have a cold nose type high you know the kind where you just withdraw from your mind and trip out randomly.

@neikodog, good to hear the cobs are beginning to be more "special." Now the fun really starts.

@tangwena, it was fascinating to read that you get better results chewing if you don't smoke anymore. Hadn't considered that. Huh! I'm not ready to give up smoking, but I can see how this could be. The ECS seems to respond best to smaller doses with a more balanced ratio, and if you're not pounding the system over the head with a steady supply of massive doses of THC, as in smoking, it rewards you with a better buzz.

As a student of the ECS this makes perfect sense.

I keep finding myself wondering what balanced ratio chemovars would be like fermented. I'll try to remember to pull out my seed list and see what I have available that'll fit into the grow schedule.

I notice it. At the end of the day with cobs I sleep like the dead. Lol! I keep trying to remember to take notes like Tangwena does, but I get distracted easily.

I've only just heard about this cobbing thing but it sounds pretty interesting. I'll scroll back through some pages but there's almost 2,000 posts on this topic now and it was only started 3 months ago so people must be liking it.

Which chemovars are the most liked so far? Atleast from the last 3 pages people seem to like sativa's like Malawi and Golden Tiger. Anyone tried Green Crack yet? Or Dark Devil Auto? I'm guessing @SweetSue will be cobbing a DDA if nobody else gets there first. If cobbing amplifies the effects a sativa would be prefered to get stuff done, atleast for me. From what people have said about the effects of cobbed sativas I think I'd be too scared to try a proper stoney sleepy indica because that might put you out for a week!

My friend who has done Indica type hybrids and chewed the aged cobs report that its quite the opposite with the plants he used, it lifts the sativa effects out of them and reduces the sleepy effects.
But thats just one guy and he doesn't smoke he only chews them like I do.
The last time he had 1.3g and reported the most intense trip he has ever had even compared to acid.
He pm'd me raving about the effects 3d sound and vision plus a couple of other senses he didn't know he had ha ha.
I will ask him if I can reproduce his report here. He is quite a private person.

This is sounding really exciting to me! I love these little smoke reports. As a writer, I'm thinking this is *just* what I need! HAHAHA!

No kidding, I'm a writer too and love writing when high so this stuff sounds fantastic. A physically active sativa would be nice to get stuff done and a euphoric one would be nice for a blast off into space with purdy sounds and colours but if I could find a good creative and mentally active chemovar to cob I think that would quickly become a favourite so I could write all day.

Consider Carnival.

When people ask why I stay high all the time my favorite response is a simple “I’m a writer.” :battingeyelashes:

I haven’t yet cobbed the DDA, but I have two I’m transplanting in a moment or two that are intended for cobbing. I had a taste of Chris Scorpio’s DDA cob while traveling and I wish to God I’d helped myself to more. lol! That was a delicious buzz and I can’t wait to duplicate that experience with my own.

I have a Red Diesel coming down tomorrow. Most of her will be cobbed. :slide:

After all the hype on the DDA I'm thinking I'll have to keep one growing whenever possible but I'll have to grow another 2 or 3 after my current DDA trial run to get some pollen and seeds before cobbing them because the 4 total seeds I bought won't last long after I get my first taste.

So many plants to grow and so many projects to do and such little space and time.
