Tangwena's Malawi-Style Cob Cure: Fermented Cannabis

Sleeps on the back burner then ha ha. Lovely result you've got to be happy with those credentials.

Oh yes, great meditation and great night sleep! Ayahuasca Purple makes fine cobs. Can't wait to try the Gigabud next week!

Hi y'all! Guess who's come to play? Wrapped my first cob just minutes ago. I borrowed a friend's dehydrator for the sweat stage. I'm cobbing some Lemon Candy I grew 12/12 from seed in coco. Just harvested yesterday, so learning about this was timely. (Thanks, Van Stank!)

I'm really excited to see how it turns out. I'm unfamiliar with this strain, since it was a free seed I decided to experiment with.

Good on you brother I am inspecting the grain on my wood floor very closely ha ha.
Trying some Golden Tiger cob today its only just finished its cure and is un aged so stony as all hell but lifes for living hey?
Tomorrow I will give the early Malawi x Ethiopia a go cant wait the small tastes I have tried were extreme and I need to be in a safe place haha.

@tangwena, what differences, if any, are you noticing between the samples that were sweated vs the ones that weren't?

Welcome to your latest obsession Mac. Lol!

Hi Sue I haven't got your ability to multi task so I can only do one trip at a time.
I will let you know, but normally the unsweated is more crazy days up and freaky. The sweated is more HELP! somebody come and hold my hand.
I like both so I cant loose. MxE tomorrow and that ones def a "your not putting that thing on me" kinda high.

Its smells nothing like and looks nothing like Aces Malawi so the cross is def Ethiopian dominant.
It smells of sweet tea tree oil the buds didn't at all but the cobs do.

The GT I tried today was grown outside and its different to indoors grown both good but once this is aged it will be really special fingers crossed.

6 on the heating mat finally, been waiting awhile for this.

Go drift! :high-five:

Any pictures? We love pictures. :battingeyelashes:

@neikodog , from looking at the pictures it appears he sent them directly into ferment and the ones he sweated he only did for 12 hours. They must have been looser buds.

I’ll be interested in hearing how the DP turns out. Which Indica were you cobbing?

.5 to chew and .6 to smoke. I’ll start with smoking today and save the chew for after the shower and before I go to have lunch and call BINGO! :slide:

This is what I was waiting for. :yahoo:

Are you all as fascinated as I that the cobs always burn down to a clean, white ash? :battingeyelashes:

@neikodog, may I ask, how is the wife enjoying the Carnival cobs, smoked or chewed? Two little hits and "whoa!" I'm going back for more. Lol!

I've decided after four hits that I'll wait until after BINGO to try any chewing. Maybe put it off until tomorrow? Lol!

Chewing is her preferred method. She eats about .2 grams and she says that keeps her "normal". A few times she has taken a hit of flower on top of that and it always ends up being too much. She has to smoke cannatonic after that to bring her back.

So I had my 1st terrorific experience chewing the cob. So far chewing them hasn't given me the euphoria I've been seeking. It seems to take about 3 hours to really feel anything. I've been chewing .5-.6 grams per dose. Sunday while harvesting I chewed .55 grams of the Malawi x Panama cob (3 week cure) I was right at the 3 hour mark and the freight train hit me, no warning just BAM! I started to feel flushed then the tunnel vision hit, my heart started racing and it felt like it was going to come out of my chest. My hands were shaking to the point I couldn't trim. I felt a kind of panic coming on thinking if this is just starting I'm in for a pretty scary ride. I closed my eyes and took some deep breaths and talked myself down. The best way I can describe it is a giant rush of adrenaline. This panic stage lasted about 20-30 minutes then I settled into a nice buzz for the next 6-7 hours. I have a new found respect for these cobs.

Noob question from the noob of the bunch...

After my cob & canary are done sweating, can I put them in one of my grow tents for the 7 days? Maybe covered with a dark towel if they need to be in dark? The tent is pretty much 78-80° F.

So do you think it was the amount or the time into the cure or the strain, or perhaps a combo of all of them? Good to know you hit that experience and just calmly talked yourself through it.

Interesting that its taking that long to 'hit' ya. Was it fairly easy to function and concentrate after the initial freight train effect?

If it stays above 77*F even during lights out your golden.
