Tangwena's Malawi-Style Cob Cure: Fermented Cannabis

Good morning fellow cobbers :hugs:

Today’s my day to see what punch the Malawi cobs have acquired from the cure. I took Tangwena’s advice and went with a straight .5 grams, just to gauge the effect.

If I need a lift along the way I’ll use the dried flower. I like to keep these experiments consistent to the chemovar involved.

Nice looking cobs my friend as others have said dry the outside to the touch either in a dehydrator or similar mechanical device or naturally in a dry environment.
They look well done as long as the core is moist it will spread throughout the cob evenly while it is vacuumed in the bag.
Now weekly take it out and re dry the outside as before. By the end of the 3 to 4 week curing it should be partly dry ready to dry even further for aging.
The moisture will have done its job and you just need a small amount to maintain a nice smokeable consistency.
You will know what you like when you find it my friend nice job so far.

I never stopped to share my euphoric experience. :battingeyelashes:

The Malawi cobs aren't giving me any over-the-top euphoria, but they did have me in the most pleasant state of mind, like the universe was embracing me. It's difficult to get upset about anything at all when under the influence of cobs, isn't it? Lol!

I seek a more invigorating buzz than these particular cobs are providing, but the happiness quotient was a special bonus. I'll probably pass these on to another member and keep looking for what does send me into the stratosphere. For now I enjoy starting with some chewed cob, smoking a bowl or two after I swallow the last bits and then supplement a few hours later with a Carnival or DDA brownie.

That combination yesterday had me just where I want to be, happy as a wonderous child and a little racy at the edges. I like the feeling of things going just a tad too fast. Lol!

I'm discovering that a day with cobs wears me out. Haha! I'll take a break today and stick to brownie and flower. At the end of a day chewing and smoking cobs I hit the bed like a sack of bricks and sleep like a log. The following morning I feel like I partied a little too hard, even if it was a blast.

Remember Tangwena telling us we'd want a break now and then? I'm proving that point. :rofl:

I realize this is a matter of getting the dose down, and that yesterday I started with a massive dose. I also realize that it's the Carnival cobs that I'm craving, and it's still three days until they get opened again.

Wednesday I get the first taste of my own Carnival cobs. :slide:

I had a sample of my Kwazulu yesterday .5 g. It did not have the same peppery flavor of the Blue Dream, it also did not have the same effects. The Blue Dream had a few more thousand feet of altitude in it. It lasted a good 6 hours after the 2 hour kick in period. Was not uncomfortable in any way. This was cobbed fresh off the plant where the Blue Dream was at 80% when it went in.

I am wondering now how much we are going to be able to tell about them from the taste.

That peppery taste is the sign of b-caryophyllene, a terpene sought after for its ability to tamp down inflammation, much the same way CBD does.

The tastes change so much in the fermentation stage that we’ll have to relearn our chemovars. Lol!

So.... Blue Dream has altitude, you say? :battingeyelashes:
 
Hi Sue that was Aces Malawi you cobbed wasn't it? I did not like Aces Malawi for the same reason it wasn't high enough more stoned.
I find the Golden Tiger has lift off and the Panama x Honduras def gets the euphoria going in spades if thats what you are after.
The Malawi from Ace is like nothing I had in Malawi the Zamaldelica on the other hand has more of a true Malawi high.
I dont know if you have tried Golden Tiger I have some of the 3rd variation to try next its supposed to have more Thai influence which makes it racier and euphoric.
I think all the crossing with other strains just muddies the water, I have Mulanji gold from Malawi and the high is only euphoric and you laugh your ass off all the time one of the best highs cobbed real Malawi laughing grass like we used to get in Malawi.

I have some of those R&D 3rd version of golden tiger as well. They are getting sunk next along with the thai/zamal Zamaldelica x Ethiopian. I agree on ACE Malawi, it is stoney.
 
I would really like to get some beans or a cut of something that is great cobbed. I do have some beans gifted from a friend of Zamaldelica x Panama that will be popped later this year. Some of the Golden Tiger or that Mulanji sounds so cool.
 
OK, I did the weekly opening. This is at 2 weeks. The cobs were damp but not wet. A little pliable and the smell was less than last week but still tasty.

I took a little piece of Ayahuasca Purple and had a little smoke. It's like Ayahuasca Purple on steroids. My senses are all on high alert. I can concentrate and feel a strong vibration make waves in my body. My energy level is off the chart. I feel like I could go to the gym and do super human power lifting. It's like my nerve endings are pulsing and are radiating from all the places I normally hurt. It's difficult to describe in words, I am doing my best.

Ayahuasca Purple is an indica by this high acts like a super sativa. Totally wild. I think I'm going to go do a meditation and see how that goes. Here are a few pictures to look at.

I was just thinking, this stuff is so off the chart I wonder what is going to happen when I stuff these things with hash. Next level cobs? I'm probably not starting another grow until the fall though. Sometimes life gets in the way of growing. It is what it is. ES

I have cobs of both of those and their both superb totally different effects but both 5 star.
Yes the Mulanji is a typical good Malawi high we used to call it laughing grass because thats all you could do. So high your pissing yourself with the hallucinations you cant look at anyone without seeing, thinking or saying something that just cracks you up.
I will do a repro soon and scatter the seeds here and there.
Today I started at 8am on Panama then hit the Thai pheno GT cob at 4pm they mix well one after the other but not together.
The Golden Tiger Thai pheno is like a shot of coke up up and away.
