Tangwena's Malawi-Style Cob Cure: Fermented Cannabis

It's the way way children live, open to the wonder around them, feeding off the energy of the cosmos, curious about every little thing and more, so much more.

The cobs open the door to the natural expression of the soul. It was so cool today guys. When I left the library and headed home after our coffee and conversation group I decended the steps to the street, watching carefully as we tend to do in our "senior years" lol! It's a steep stone staircase that ends across from a small, equally steep parklet.

As my feet hit the sidewalk and I prepared to lift my gaze to the view out over the river valley I knew would greet me, I distinctly remember feeling a giggle, way down deep inside, and the awareness that "this is gonna be fun!" Then I uncharacteristically took my time looking up, allowing myself the opportunity to "see" as much as I could in the time it took me to sweep the eyes from my feet up to the horizon line. Like it was a game, and the object was to see the most. Lol!

Even for me it was a moment of enhanced wonder. :battingeyelashes:
Beautifully written it will gush forth soon my lady let it all out. I am that high typing this I can feel everything you thought.
Or at least that better be it, either that or I just seriously lost it just then ha ha Who cares its still beautiful.

Thank you. Lol! The members are used to this from me. Haha! I wax poetic all over this site, and they let me do it. God, Tangwena, I'm looking forward to some cured ones. I'll open my Malawi cobs up tomorrow at the two week mark. WooHoo!! :slide:

Lunch with the seniors should be interesting. Lol! I'm taking pain cream gifts with me too.:circle-of-love:

I think I found my NEW TATTOO, Just need to get it translated into
Magadhi Prakrit

आपको क्या लगता है आप कया बनेंगे। आप क्या महसूस करते हैं, आप आकर्षित करते हैं क्या आप कल्पना करते हैं, आप बनाते हैं

As you know I find it hard to restrict my tongue, its something anyone who knows me has to deal with

If I'm not mistaken, Marc has physical issues that prevent him from using a keyboard. If you can't understand something that he has posted, ask if someone can help with clarification.

I don't want anything on my body I can't proofread.

^^^THIS^^^

I have nothing against tattoos

Even the beer coasters that a certain class of women seem to be fond of, lol?

I am not bothered by the concept. But I see so many that fall slightly below the level of quality of what a person could get in most any prison. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAnd... they pay for them  . And what is it with people deciding that they "want to be UNIQUE" individuals - and then all getting the same generic-looking stamps, lol?

But the concept of a tattoo, no problem. I've seen some decent ones. I'm not really into the whole self-mutilation as art thing, but if that's someone else's thing, then who am I to complain? I have a few scars, some folks have a few tats. They went to a shop and paid someone to get theirs... I went out and lived life to get mine ;) .

I've seen several textual tattoos that were misspelled. In ENGLISH. I always ask. . .

and the Tattoo guy asked half way through "how to you spell Triumph"

But aren't you glad that he asked, LMFAO?

I’ve been tempted to get 宫保鸡丁 tattooed on me. It means “Kung pao chicken”. And I think it would be hilarious to do it intentionally.

You betcha. I'd certainly be laughing MY @ss off - because you'd spend the rest of your days trying to convince (the few people who could actually read it) that you meant it to state that.

Forgot to add the link.

This is where if found that drying degrades the toxins...
Clostridium botulinum | MSDSonline

Doesn't seem to kill the spores. From reading that, it looks like some of them can grow once inside a body.

And...

PHYSICAL INACTIVATION: Toxin is destroyed after heating for 5 minutes at greater than 85°C. Toxins are detoxified in air within 12 hours and following exposure to sunlight within 1 to 3 hours. Spores are highly resistant to heat and desiccation; therefore, it is recommended to sterilize with dry heat (2 hours at 160°C (320°F)), by autoclaving (20 minutes at 121°C, 1 atm pressure) and/or by irradiation.

FIRST AID/TREATMENT:

Foodborne botulism: Within 1 hour of ingestion of suspected food, the recommended course of action is a gastric lavage, or enemas, and the administration of a cathartic (sorbitol). In some cases intravenous administration of AB or ABE botulinum antitoxin is required, and assisted ventilation if respiratory failure occurs. Treatment may be required for weeks or months.

So it requires high heat and pressure or HIGH heat to kill the spores.

If someone gets botulism, they might get to experience having their stomach pumped and/or enemas. Now it is my understanding that, generally, you get knocked out prior to having a tube stuck down your throat. But just in case, lol... I used to be a drinker. It turns out that if you're half dead of alcohol poisoning, they don't. Either out of maliciousness or because they're afraid of killing you, IDK. But if you rejoin the conscious world (more or less) when someone is inserting the tube... it's absolutely as much fun as you think it is. I've never had an enema, but it doesn't strike me as something I'd willingly put on my To Do list, either. The "...if respiratory failure occurs" bit caught my eye, too - as did the mention of a ventilator. And then there was the "...for weeks or months."

The only thing I could have read that would have made it even less palatable would be if they'd have added "...and a few barium milkshakes wouldn't hurt, either." 'Cause there's just something about violent projectile vomiting, followed by hearing, "Oh, you'll have to drink another one, then. And you really want to keep this one down, trust me."

Sure wish I still had access to the autoclave in the lab at the local sh!t factory. 249.8°F and high pressure would still leave a psychoactive product. 320°F wouldn't, IIRC.

BtW, thanks for the research and for posting the link.

TS

Nice to see you! :hugs:

So the spores are much less dangerous. They are everywhere and inherent in some foods like honey. Children and infants should not consume honey or cobs ;)

I've been following along, watching the cob experiments and I just remembered something that I thought you folks might be interested in ...

Many years ago, I read something about restoring or enhancing THC levels using CO2 - a dry ice cure. It came up in an article about trying to enhance commercial brickweed, converting CBN back to THC. It wasn't well documented and I never tried it but it's probably worth looking into. The idea was that during the cure you have molecular reconstruction going on, and if you have an excess of CO2 it will build more THC than usual.

That might have something to do with the cob cure. Has anyone looked into gases and their effects on cannabinoid decomposition?

And every time you get CHINESE you can just show your TATTOO, I would need to add "Sweet and Sour" however

Thanks TS, Apparently I need to do more research it seems
not a fan of anything mentioned above, Maybe CL for a AUTOCLAVE, actually remember
seeing one listed with a MEDICAL EQUIPMENT liquidation

From what I understand botulism produces a lot of gas, so if your cobs started to develop botulism you'd probably notice 'air pockets' in your vacuum sealed bags.

I doubt that botulism is a concern here. Lol!

@Graytail , I don’t think anyone’s looked yet, but you’re encouragement will likely spurt a look or two. :battingeyelashes:

I guess it would be easy enough to test. Take some full buds and cut in-half, put half in sealed drying chamber with
excess CO2, Other half regular dry. send to lab for testing :) keep record of which buds go with each other and
it would be a little cleared to determine increase / decrease / or same

After taking a food handling class years ago botulism has always been a concern of mine. Not that I think there is any risk, just that I wish that class never showed me that botulism video.

Don’t ever read the cautions and contraindications for aspirin. Lol!

Yeah, in that it's like mold.

Add "...or people with less than stellar immune systems." Mine is probably in much better shape than others - I'm not a boy in a bubble, don't have HIV, and am not receiving chemotherapy. But it's pretty significantly "depressed." And I've open oral wounds.

Which really makes it hard to read in this thread  . Every time I read a description of the effects that Tangwena posts, a little voice in my head threatens to start SHOUTING, lol. Each time one of you posts a picture, well... It becomes a "Pavlov's Dog" kind of affair. And if the person that posted one happens to be SweetSue, and knowing where she lives hee hee hee - it gives me the urge to walk up the hill to the highway and stick my thumb out. Thankfully, I have better urge-control than the average seven-year old. But there is some pain involved.

I'm thinking that those concerned with such things might be ahead to turn a well-cobbed... err... cob into a tincture, or some other sort of extraction. Hey, there's a (far-)future use for this Magic Butter (2) machine that I won last year, that's just been gathering dust so far!

Coconut Cob pudding, maybe? IDK.
