Tangwena's Malawi-Style Cob Cure: Fermented Cannabis

Yeti....

I was browsing on InstaGram earlier when I followed a new seed breeder. When I looked through their page I came across this post:

Just thought it was neat that i had not really heard anything about this until I started reading this thread and then I came across this.

That is serendipitous, harmonization. Ingesting cannabis initiates such things..

Yes thats a new season cob you get them from August to October by Christmas they are all golden yellow and brown.
They only used to sell them aged but demand got so high they just wrap em and sell em to the tourists.
The real deal stuff is always at least 6 month aged.
I scored one once the size of a loaf of bread in a bark of some kind sewn up at the ends wasn't the best gear though.

I did not think it looked like it had been through the process, but I just thought it was interesting to stumble across it after having followed this thread. I do not know if the caption is readable for everyone as it is a little blurry after being compressed. It reads as "Malawi Gold cob-70's". It is the size of an actual ear of corn from the looks. One the size of a loaf of bread had to be crazy.

It's the power of deliberate focus, the fundemental concept of deliberate manifestation. Read the bottom line of my signature. Buddah explains the entire thing in one line.

Hahaha! Play nice boys. Lol! Marc means no offense. Hehe! I know he can be a bit of a challenge to follow, but I'm learning lots from him, so please be friendly guys. He holds a special little spot in my heart. :battingeyelashes:

@LVMarc42, this isn't my method, any more than the low and slo is mine or the FHO is mine. I have a louder passion than the originators of these methods, but Tangwena, Ziggy, and PsyCro get the credit for the ideas.

Like most commercial products as they got popular with the tourists the price went up and the size went down.
Its very hard to get good quality cobs in Malawi because the dealers know they can sell almost anything as Malawi Gold these days.
But if you know where to look there is still very high quality to be had you just pay a little more but its still cheap by western prices.

As you know I find it hard to restrict my tongue, its something anyone who knows me has to deal with

You know.... I always tease my sister in law. She has a mandarin symbol on the back of her shoulder that she states represents "sister". I always tell her it means "soup". I spent about a year in Japan (I do not know Mandarin). She knows I'm just kidding, but it does make her wonder at times.

I don't want anything on my body I can't proofread. I have nothing against tattoos, but I survived this long without one. I guess I can keep going without the external instructions. (<---- it's a joke....)

And one of the reasons I adore having you around Gazoo. It brings a certain energy that doesn’t exist without you. :hugs:

Yes the PROOF READ is important. Way back 1975 I got my first tattoo I wanted it
to read "DEATH SHALL TRIUMPH" (Army Infantry at the time) Anyway I was very very
drunk and the Tattoo guy asked half way through "how to you spell Triumph"

We once tattooed a young man with the phrase “Dead Homies” except I was a quiet white woman with no ghetto experience and he was illiterate enough that he didn’t catch that I’d created the stencil to read “Dead Hommies.”

So Dale tattoos the line in and begins the shading, at which point the young reciepient said “I don’t think that’s how you spell homies” and Dale, without skipping a beat or slowing down at all, smiled and replied “Well it does now.”

Hahaha!

I’ve been tempted to get 宫保鸡丁 tattooed on me. It means “Kung pao chicken”. And I think it would be hilarious to do it intentionally.

I chewed up the last of the taster cut from the DC cob this morning, and followed it up with a Carnival brownie, since I know it wasn't going to offer the euphoric experience I've grown to love.

What I have noticed from the beginning is a certain calming of the mind that demonstrates itself most profoundly in my meditation practices. After chewing a cob, as immature as they are at this stage, I've noted it's easier to drop into the meditative state, and easier to stay there without any internal dialogue that doesn't become immediately silenced, as though some deep presence is going "shhhhhh...." Lol!

I'm interested to see if this expression repeats as the cobs become more mature.

The euphoria from the brownies has also taken on a tone that calls me to detail, noticing fine detail in textures around me. Makes walking outdoors a heightened experience.

Hi my friend thats a good question.
In the south of the lake there are a few luxury hotels (google lake Malawi hotels) that are really cool but so isolated you hardly know they are there.
Fishing sailing water skiing all the usual things and every hotel will have a dealer of cobs so its very easy to score.

In the center and the North is a lot more isolated and wild some parts only accessible by boat.
Its a huge lake like an inland sea.

Malawi has massive tourism from USA,UK and Europe and these days probably China.
Its a very long narrow country and you can see North to South in a couple of weeks.
The country varies a lot from steamy low lands to cool highlands and there are a lot of micro climate areas thats why there are so many types of dope plants and methods of curing.

The tourists only really see the crap that just about every man and his dog grows without any idea of how to cure it properly just to make ends meet.
The farmers are very poor and any extra income from pot is keenly sought.

Then there are the old school medicine men and traditional pot growers and curers if you can get some of their gear you will know why Malawi has a name for growing the most powerful pot in Africa.
The stuff grown and sold at the lake can be very good its just a matter of refusing anything thats obviously just sun dried and then the dealer will know you want the top shelf gear and will usually have it stashed for his special customers.

My Carnival cobs were sweated for 28 hours, I had lots of moisture this time but they still look gold. The pre sweat weight was 172.83 grams. After sweat was 156.18 grams so I lost 16.65 grams of water. I let them dry to the touch which took about 1.25 hours. They are resealed and added to the fermenting strawberry fields cob. I gotta say the smell was much different with the Carnival cobs, maybe because they had lots of moisture where my SF cob was dryer going in. The SF cob stunk the whole kitchen up with an incredible citrus smell. The Carnival smell was more like a warm hard to describe smell, it was nothing like the limey smell going in.
