After seeing this and reading on several sites I'm not 100% sold. I want to be on board, but...It sounds like a lot of work, and a LONG time. Maybe there is some wishful thinking that goes into the final product testing that might be a bit exaggerated? Like I said I want to believe, but too many times I've heard that this or the other is the"best".

Nice edit tangwena, I was trying to come up with a reply to your post and you did

I just came back to delete it but its too late now isn't it ?
I try to be all cool and so on but I'm not I'm just prick with an attitude problem ha ha.
Sorry if I bring down Sweet Sues loving karma I'm really just a bush pig that likes cobs ha ha.
I don't see it that way, negativity in previous post ment some one isn't ready to the subtleness of cobs, and your attitude is almost always a happy sort of bush pig

Absolutely amazing from what I have read so far. Thank you @SweetSue for sharing this information. Absolutely fascinating to read up on the process of fermentation of cannabis. I remember reading about thai sticks being buried in the same way for the chemical process to take place. I’m a home brewer and love making kimchee so this is all up my alley in interest.

Funny part is I was reading this thread earlier and then forgot how I got here so it took me a minute to find this thread again

Still got well over 200 pages to get caught up on?... don’t mind if I do!!:nomo::high-five:

Glad to have you along Sunnyskies. :hugs: Don’t hesitate to jump to here if you have any questions. I know it’s a lot, but oh my goodness we’re we having fun through every one. :slide:

I think we’re used to you by now Tangwena. :laughtwo: We’re not a crowd easily offended. We do cobs. Lol!

Hey... last Sunday was the full moon here and one of the few days I didn’t chew cob since starting to use it as a regular part of my daily regimen.

The whole day I felt off. It wasn’t until around 6 PM that I realized my oversight.

It’s a mistake I won’t make again. :battingeyelashes:

You owe it to yourself to be happy.
I was so so high on some GT today I was watching a movie just chilling you know.
I was crying from emotion and it wasn't even a sad movie it was a comedy ha ha.
I just understood all the hidden meanings that I dont see straight it was magical haha.
That was after returning from a power walk up hills and down valleys I had so much power and energy to burn.
I had to get outside and move fast.
Walking down hills into a stiff sea breeze it was like running water I felt I was being lifted up like a kite ha ha.
Real trippy such a fantastic day.

So how does using this as a chew help? Does it need to be decarbed? I did a search for the term "chew" in this thread, but came up with over 400 posts. I really just want to know the basics of this.
Once you have made the cob and aged it a least one month it should be ready for chewing.
Take o.5g to begin with and adjust the dose up or down from there.
Simply chew it masticating it for as long as possible until it just becomes too small to chew further ( 5 to 10 mins) then wash the dust like residue down with a glass of water.
You dont need to decarb it or anything other than chew it.

Give it a least an hour to start working if the strain you used to make the cob was a strong high quality plant you should feel something starting after an hour.
Be warned the effects should keep building in intensity for 3 to 4 hours before leveling off.
It will not make average or weak pot better so use only high quality pot if you want a high quality result.

As it depends on so many variables including your tolerance you may have to go as high as 1.5g but thats rare.
The high should last between 5 and 8 hours strain and cure dependent so plan your day and dont operate heavy machinery or try to drive until you have a handle on the effects.

That's an awesome reply - Thanks!!! :passitleft:

So if I'm understanding this correctly, the fermentation process is an alternate to decarbing the weed. Similar to how a citrus juice will "cook" the seafood in a ceviche?

Yes. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Hey guys, I was referred to a highly technical post from 2014 over at THC farmer that discusses the chemical constituents of cannabis and how they’d be effected by drying and curing. The OP was making a case for faster drying processes like a dehydrator (which I’ve used to good effect), but it sparked my interest that it may help us understand what’s going on in cobbing.

The article is saved over in Class Notes, and sometime next week I’ll see what I can do about deciphering it.

Unless one of you will have already done that for me. :battingeyelashes: Feel free to follow the link, and be prepared to be overwhelmed. :laughtwo:

OK, High everyone, I am trying to catch up, but I want the whole story here! So, i am reading from the beginning, on page 32 now, and have a long way to go, I can say it is a very interesting read and I can't wait to get to page 242. But wanted to say High since I am still in lurking mode, trying to learn the people and the way this forum thing works.

Yes. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Envious of you cobers!!!! I just harvested but didn't try it ... Again.
That first step is always hard!
:nomo: yup jumped all over that!
Thank you so very much. iG also tried a dehydrator and posted similar results. Need a o2 suppressor...high quality awesome taste. Umm yes please
