Tangwena's Malawi-Style Cob Cure: Fermented Cannabis

@Kanda , welcome to your latest obsession. :hugs:

You can say that again!! I am loving this so far. I cannot thank you all enough for sharing this information and your experiments and skills. I will be forever grateful.

Here are some pics of two I did. In all my excitement I did not take pics of the purple CBD cob but will the next time I open them up

I just finished harvesting my outdoor green crack and the high is supposed to be fairly trippy, so thinking it should cob nicely.

I’ll return with a report on the the blackberry cob and more pics.

Sweet! :high-five: Nice pictures too. Making cobs is almost as much fun as chewing them. Well.... maybe not quite as much fun. :laughtwo:

18 months in, and I have to admit, as I lovingly gaze over the beach the universe dropped me down next to, that nothing else I’ve smoked or ingested with cannabis goodness holds a candle to the experience of chewing cobs. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

I have to agree. After finally getting a very solid result, I spoke to a buddy last night and mentioned that its my preferred method now. Such a nice way to spend the day.

After being worried about using 1/4 of my harvest, I now kinda wish I used more to have more cobs.

Couldn't of happened to a nicer person or group of people.
I have a couple of cobs from one pheno of Purple Honduras x Panama that are blowing me away the high is powerful euphoric and makes me so cock sure of myself its unreal.
Normally I'm kind of introverted but this gear makes me very extroverted.
There is always something new to experience and with chewing you can get right inside the high and let it take over your whole day.
Sue dont you just love the feeling of universal love that just ripples through your body to your very soul on some strains.
The beach is my favorite place to trip out you must be in nirvana right now.
Much love to you and everyone on this trip its like the brotherhood of eternal love except on grass.

*GASP!* Tell him for us it’s beautiful. :green_heart:

After being worried about using 1/4 of my harvest, I now kinda wish I used more to have more cobs.

I’m in the same boat, but I’m also not growing right now, and every time I grind up more cobs for my morning dose it reminds me that I’ll be wanting to get back to cultivation, if only to replenish cobs.

Next harvest will be 3/4 cobbed and 1/4 dried buds.

There isn’t a morning goes by that I don’t thank the cosmos for making us aware of your presence @tangwena.

:hugs::hugs::hugs:

Sue, thanks for pointing me over here....holy cow; it's so fantastic to be learning, researching, and trying new things again with our beloved cannabis....such a breath of fresh air, I love it!

I've started at the beginning of this thread and will go back thru it all to absorb.....in case I missed it, does 'cob' stand for anything?? Do tell....

Hi Shawnee if I may answer for you.
Just the finished products resemblance to a corn cob when its all bound up in its skin.
It was very illegal in Malawi though that may change soon. You cant get busted for asking about corn cobs ha ha.
There are moves afoot to legalise the production of cannabis in Malawi the world better hang onto something if they start exporting the top drawer stuff they produce there.

Whoa! o_O We may find world peace after all. :laughtwo:

Welcome @Shawnee. :hugs: Glad you found us, and welcome to your next canna obsession. There’s a lot of reading. Lol! Don’t hesitate to jump back and forth to ask questions as you go. We love discussing and explaining cobs. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Lovely little bit of a history lesson there, Tangwena; love that and thank you.

Wow, can you imagine if Malawi moved forward with legalization? I am thinking of all the positive and good the cannabis dollars and export money can do for the country. That could really change lives. Tremendous opportunity that we may live to witness. Can't wait!

Meanwhile, I'll stick around and learn more about this ancient art; thank you all...so interesting to learn how the culture manages to preserve something on the down low that means so much to it's people...

I'm just about 1/2 way through so far and getting more excited with every page. Will I ever finish?

When you smoke test week to week, do you use a pipe or roll a joint. Isn't the cob material wet as heck?

BTW, rainy weather has allowed me to read on and on the past couple days...the belly laughing has me sore, no joke!

:laughtwo: We’re glad to be so entertaining Shawnee.

When you open them weekly you do so to let them surface dry. Just slice off a small piece and let it dry further before consuming, by whatever method you choose.

I’d try smoking in a pipe if you have it. Less waste that way. Haven’t tried a vaporizer yet, but my gut says chew or combust. Chewing gives a finer-tuned, longer-lasting buzz that’s worth exploring. Smoking will surprise you with the smoothness and intensity of onset.

Start with small chews or hits to find your tolerances. It won’t be like anything else you’ve tried.

:yahoo:

That calls for a serious buzz. :slide:

ts started check out these guys they haven't got it totally right yet but that hasn't stopped them ha ha.

SHOP / Malawi Cob
Tangwena, what a wonderful thing that cobs will be shared with the world through legal shops. However, the lawyer in me noticed they used your name. They shouldn't use your name without your permission and, perhaps, payment to you for use of your name... In their description of Malawi Cob, they clearly credit you for the information which is great... BUT, your name is your brand and your reputation and... you should be able to choose who uses your name for profit. My free two cents for the evening. Missy

If I am meant to be rewarded I am sure the universe will make it happen.
It will be its great to have free advertising though ha ha.

The way I see it that might stifle others creativity and I dont want that.
On the bright side if I own my name anything I put out would sell well he he.
I just hope Australia uses the same legislation if and when we go all the way.

Its always been a dream of mine having an online clearing house for boutique growers to sell their products on line like a co op.

Won't it be a wonderful world when everyone is experiencing the love and euphoria or even just plain old happiness that smoking cobs brings? And you, my friend, are the main instigator of this joyful journey. :) Super fun. I, for one, would be overjoyed to buy products you endorse and offer for sale through your online clearing house. Oh the places we'll go :)
