Tangwena's Malawi-Style Cob Cure: Fermented Cannabis

It's snowing like mad out there, and I'm thinkin' I need to take this buzz and play among the snowflakes. :battingeyelashes:

I'm glad you are seeing such an improvement.
So now you have entered the cure phase you don't use the husks anymore??

The cure is done without husks. Open weekly and allow to dry to touch again before resealing. Be sure to take a test piece each time. The only way we'll learn what works best for each of us is to test weekly.

I finally got enough amber on the OG Kush to harvest. I went to the carniceria and got some corn husks. Tomorrow or the next day I’m a start cobbing. I’m going to use the dehydrator to sweat them.

Thanks @SweetSue for the inspiration to try something I never would’ve otherwise.

You are so welcome Doob. :hugs: I look forward to testing one of yours. :battingeyelashes:

It's been over five hours. I got the same energetic rush as yesterday - that feeling of "more" - but without the frantic side. That was fun yesterday, but it's not sustainable on a day-to-day basis. I noticed today that I get a body rush just before the energetic effect hits. I can feel the buzz beginning to wind down a bit, so I'll supplement with a Carnival brownie. I want to see how they react together while I still have some hold on the euphoria.

I gotta tell you guys, when it has this pronounced an effect without the cure you really can't wait to test it after some maturing time.

Is anyone well-heeled enough to have a fresh (dry) sample of bud tested as a control, then have a sample of their COB (from the same bud) sampled?

It'd be interesting to see how much THC-A was converted to THC, how much (if any) remains in its initial state, and how much has degraded into CBN.

As an off-topic aside:

I wish more strains had accompanying information about other cannabinoids. I am interested in CBG content. I have at least one seed each of "a few" seeds, but have no idea as to which would tend to produce plants higher in this one. I wish to reduce the interocular pressure in my eyes. And the cancer-fighting (et cetera) traits are of also important to me.

Or, since that one (IIRC) appears to be a precursor to both THCA and CBDA, is the solution to just harvest whatever strain I like well before it is "ready" for harvest?

EDIT: I wish k0ijn posted here. I have never interacted with this person, but he caught my eye over five years ago (via web-searches for scientific information).

Oh Stoney..... :high-five:

The first of many. :circle-of-love:

We got the :green_heart: back. :yahoo:

God, I've been so high these past two days. Lol! A happy, satisfied high with a deep sense of wellbeing. Walking home from the grocery store this afternoon the snowflakes felt softer on my face, I felt tall and vigorious, my body moving smoothly through space, colors appearing more vivid, feeling more alive.

That sense of 'more' I can see I'm going to get real fond of. Haha!

It's sealed up for the next week. Drat!

@TorturedSoul , we recently had a conversation on Amy's thread on CBG. In the end I think we determined that unless the plant is bred with high CBG it's too difficult to predict when to harvest to catch the plant before the transformation into other cannabinoid molecules.

Had you smoked Malawi in regular form before Sue?
To me it's such a happy, trippy, and ultra-functional glow.
The feeling I always get from it is that everything seems candy coated. I don't know if that description makes sense to anyone but me. But to me it makes good sense. Candy coated good sense.

I harvested one other and I had some of Neiko's Malawi. I smoke Carnival Weaselcracker. That's a high bar to get over for any chemovar, but I did enjoy Malawi. Most of my last harvest went to a member who appreciates it as much as you describe. I found the urge to share it irrestible, made easier to go through with because I had copious amounts of Carnival on hand. :battingeyelashes:

All those things you describe are things I'm feeling with the cobs coming out of fermentation. This has me more excited to get through a good cure. :slide:

Evening Miss Sue :-)
Lol I’m not sure if we will try this or not yet but it is very interesting to us. You always seem to find the cool projects don’t you lol. Now as far as hacking a luggy into tea or milk........... ain’t happening:rofl: don’t care if it launches me out of the universe, ain’t doing that
They look cool as hell though I have to admit, just not sure I can trust myself to pay close enough attention to them to not mess it up :-)

Blessed Buds our friend and be well :passitleft:

Shoot, if I can do this anyone can. The husks are cheap and the vacuum system assures success without mold.

That chewing and spitting into the tea serves the purposes of getting some in sublingually and then allowing the cannabinoids to bond to the oil molecules in the milk. I'm not so sure that you wouldn't get something of the same effect if you just chewed the hell out of it and followed with a cup of warm milk. Lol!

This project found me. :battingeyelashes: JustMeds turned me on to Tangwena. Once I read the first two pages of their thread I was hooked. "Sign me up for some of that!" :slide:

Gee....thanks. :passitleft:

The Injuns did all kind of stuff like that, and for many generations.

OtOH, they never managed to invent the wheel (in regards to transportation).

I'm not sure a planet paved to accomodate travel by wheeled vehicles was an advancement in social evolution TS.

I just about posted something and then thought, “Oh wait, you probably shouldn’t post when you’re high!” And then I realized that I was on the forums and that everyone here is high too. Lol

Posted here because I immediately thought of Sue. :)
