Hey Mr Krip, gorgeous flowers you've got there!DAY #45 OF 12/12 - FAT & FROSTY BUDS!
It's been 45 days of 12/12 and the Platinum Kush Breaths are getting fat & frosty and are just dripping with resin!
Here are a few pics from today:
Since I did the CAT drenches early on these girls, I'm really considering doing another CAT (probably tomorrow, if I do it!) just to see what happens. I can't imagine they're gonna start losing all those trichomes!
Happy Harvests!

WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THE AUTOS???
I'm seeing a lot of indoor growers growing autos and I'm wondering what the real attraction is?
I understand autos if you're growing outdoors and battling seasons, and I understand the indoor grower that has some extra space in the veg tent and decides to throw in an auto to flower in the veg area.
Other than that, why would you grow the auto version instead of the photo?
It seems to me it would have lower THC (mixed with Ruderalis), can't clone it, genetics have been diluted, I can always flip a photo early if I want to finish quick and train if I want to keep it short, etc.
I just don't see any advantage of an auto other than some auto-only strains.
QUICK BREEDING UPDATE - TRAINWRECK #2 IS FEMALE
Not sure if I had mentioned it, but I ended up culling Trainwreck #1 a week, or so, ago since it just wasn't very healthy and wanted something more sturdy for breeding. At that time, I also took a couple of clones from Trainwreck #2 and put the mom in the breeding cab to sex.
Turns out, TW #2 is a female, so I have another strain to pollenate with the PTK on this first round.
Happy Harvests!

I was drawn to autos early on in my growing career due to the "ease" and speed" they were supposed to grow with. My first round with them I grew 4 with one that turned out to be a photo. I ended up yielding 3-4 zips a piece off of them! I then found Dark Devil Auto and since it was supposed to be purple every time I was drawn to it. I ran a few and only got a quarter ounce to a half ounce off of them. Which was super disappointing. My wife loved the DDA though. And honestly some of the first autos I grew put a very heavy smoker on her ass! Like almost could not function for a while off of one bowl which was not like her. After my first round though I got very poor yields and stopped running them. If I were to run autos now it would be Mephisto's gear. They are supposed to be potent and yield very well.
Edit: I should mention that I would do as others mentioned and run them in with my veg plants or outside if I were to grow under the sun. I do have some DDA seeds a member gave me that I may just do either one of those things with.
That is great that you got another female! It is funny that it is a Trainwreck since that is one of the crosses Icemud made as well lol. Of course it would be the one overlapping strain that gives you a girl and not the different ones.
Damn Mr Krip well done - all your flowers are looking absolutely perfect Completely covered in trichomes and looking rock hard How's the terps?DAY #47 OF 12/12 - DAY #1 AFTER 3RD CAT DRENCH!
It's been 47 days of 12/12 and, since the PKB's got their CAT drenches early this round, and I've been considering "playing" with a 3rd CAT late into flower, I gave the two PKB's another CAT yesterday.
I am starting to see some fade on some of the leaves, but that's pretty normal this far into flower, too, and the trichomes just look unbelievable, but enough talk about trichomes...let's see the pics!
Happy Harvests!

Yeah, I was aware of this only because you had mentioned it previously which is what got me thinking more about it and I finally decided Nspecta may know a little more about breeding the X-mas bud than I do, so that was a big part of the decision!Hey Krip, here is an email from Nspecta at CSI Humboldt. I asked him about the mutants and this was his response.
Yes, generally the inbred mutants types account for 10-20% of the population…from what I’ve observed running larger preservation runs. They produce flower just fine but I generally would select against them for directionaly preserving the line. They tend to start off slower & smaller than the rest but pick up the pace a bit in flower & sometimes even grow out of the mutant look.
Hope that helps a little.

Let's just say, I'll be contacting you again on your Order line and not your Complaints or Returns line!Soooo.....how's the kit working?
Let's just say, I'll be contacting you again on your Order line and not your Complaints or Returns line!
The kit just does the perfect job of bringing out the full potential of the genetics with very little work or knowledge needed by the grower.
You can use that quote in your new brochure!
So, are you saying my plants look so good because of my low IQ???High Brix soil was designed for creatures with no IQ's
