Tales From The Krip!

Damn! Sorry to hear. I hope they're ok. How much longer?

If it was a seed sale you wouldn't have lollygagged.
They're fine. I just don't like all those colas being "squeezed" together with that gardening tape since it reduces the air circulation and increases the risks of budrot.

Today will be day #42 of 12/12, so about 4 weeks left to go.

If I coulda' gotten all those yo-yo's up with just a few mouse clicks, which is the effort it takes to order seeds, I wouldn't have lollygagged, either!

Nice buddage,,, bending over from weight is a good thing????? But I hear ya,,, makes for alot of work and limits air and ablity to move plants. Increase that airflow in the bottom part underneath the canopy. A little 6" clip on thing might help keep molds at bay. Not sure how you control R/H in the tent,, cept put maybe a dehumidifier in the same room as your intake.... But then I know you got it all under control..

Dude I thought I had alot of seeds in the seed box......... You got enough to last 10-15 years. Some really nice strains too......

Way ahead of you, Brother! :high-five:

Earlier today, I broke out the yo-yo stash, unwrapped both plants from the garden tape, yo-yo'd up as many colas as I could, trimmed up all the lower stuff and a few decent buds on thinner stalks (I have those buds drying out...still early, but with all that resin, I'll throw them in the trim bag after taking a tester or two! ;) ), and I ordered TWO more of those AirKing 6" clip-on's.

I figured I'd wait 'till tomorrow for the updated pics, but I'm feeling much better about it already. I really didn't like all those colas wrapped together with that plastic garden tape. I'd rather lose a few of those thinner stalks than risk losing this whole round to mold issues! :dude-knocking:

DAY #43 OF 12/12 - PIC UPDATE

Well, the canopy is a lot uglier than it was just a few days ago, but I've got some good air circulation, the buds look great, and I should make it safely to harvest without any mold issues, which was my primary concern when those colas first collapsed.

Here's what the canopy is looking like:

Here are some bud shots:

WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THE AUTOS???

I'm seeing a lot of indoor growers growing autos and I'm wondering what the real attraction is? :hmmmm:

I understand autos if you're growing outdoors and battling seasons, and I understand the indoor grower that has some extra space in the veg tent and decides to throw in an auto to flower in the veg area.

Other than that, why would you grow the auto version instead of the photo?

It seems to me it would have lower THC (mixed with Ruderalis), can't clone it, genetics have been diluted, I can always flip a photo early if I want to finish quick and train if I want to keep it short, etc.

I just don't see any advantage of an auto other than some auto-only strains.

It makes sense if you only have a single tent or space and you want to run perpetual. You can run autos in veg and flower in the same space. It’s the only way I’d consider autos myself.

I'm with ya on the autos. You could always just start a photo period seed in a finish container and run it 12/12 right from the start and it will flower when mature. This way you can do all those things you cant with an auto.

EXACTLY! :high-five:

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something cuz' I sure see a lotta journals featuring autos, though, many are newer growers and I think they assume "auto" equates to "easier to grow" which is probably true if you don't have a timer for your lights!
