Taking My Chances With The Devil: Dark Devil Auto & Devil's Crack Auto

Good thing you have the landlord thing down. I'm pretty much undercover from some of my in laws. I really don't care about what they think. But I try to keep Dankwoman happy. So I do shit I don't like sometimes. I'm hoping to get a male 9 lb hammer out of the one that's above ground and I soaked my last 2 today along with last two 24k from DNA. Maybe make a dankass gold hammer cross. How did you go about containing the pollen. I'm considering flowering a male in a small box by itself just for pollen

Yep, we have recreational out here, but no personal grows allowed... buncha crap. Cops could care less about grows this size, but the apartment I live in has strict rules against growing whether a guy has medical or not. I won't pay for my medical renewal because of this fact..

Once my males show sex, i give them a couple more days in the tent and move them to the kitchen window. I have a cupboard that i put him in at night so as not to disrupt the dark cycle. I snip the open flowers off and onto a note card or paper plate as they pop. Then I just dip a q-tip into the dusty flowers, carry it into the room and pick a bud to rub it on. I do that for a few days, wait a day, then a light mist of water from a spray bottle all over the tent and plants. No need to saturate, just get everything damp and the pollen is rendered sterile. Hope that helps. There are a lot of ways to get to the same destination. Beez has a wonderful thread in his signature on breeding and cloning. Very detailed, he makes feminized seeds too.

I will probably not be making any seeds again until this summer. It gets hot in my apartment and those Punto Rojo crosses seem to love the heat. Cross a few of those with a Male from my fresh 10 pack of Columbian Golds and I bet the babies will be something real special.

Everything set back up. Hung my filter to open up the floor space. Fed everyone and flushed the (Punto Rojo x Unknown) x SSDC that is on deck for chop. Not getting much in the way of fall colors beyond the super dark purple leaves, however she is really swelling and putting on weight, noticable reduction in water uptake.

Here they are

I saw one of yours on a landrace thread if I remember correctly. I think it was a swami? That was a badass plant! Kinda tall popping out of a small ass power drink bottle or something. Anyway I'm guessing it was a punto rojo. Probably had a long flower cycle

The Punto Rojo crosses I have are fairly reasonable because.... okay i need a dab to explain properly..

My Punto Rojo (Red Point) crosses are the result of a single Punto Rojo male pollinating an entire outdoor crop of Swami genetics. The mother plants from Swami are hybrids of "original" landrace cultivars of both sativa and indica genotypes. These plants mature before the first frost in a location two and a half hours north of Spokane WA. I can attest to the finished buds being perfectly mature.

Experience with my crosses indoors has been that they are done in about 14-16 weeks under an 11/13 from seed light cycle. They stretch forever, but produce amazingly potent buds. Show sex right about 3 weeks old. A guy could just toss a sprout straight into the flower tent if he has seperate spaces. If I vegged them, they would quickly overtake my tent. Very easy to grow.

Been doing terrible with keeping track of plant age. Some backtracking tells me that the oldest are about 7 weeks into flower (SSDC crosses), the next are about 6 weeks in (White Widow x Wonder Woman and Purple Afghani x BCBD Purps).

That's about as far as I got. The last round of plants : NL x DDA, PR x(Mazar x Guerrero), Sensi NL, are almost 1 week in.

In my 11/13 from seed format the beginning of flowering is a muddy line. So for reference purposes, most 8 week cultivars run 11-12 week full life cycle. For the sake of consistency I think I will start referring to their age by weeks from seed. Otherwise I will definitely confuse myself in the future. Something for me to standardize in my next journal.

Looking over my seed collection and realizing that I won't be chucking pollen until later this year, I will only pop seeds from my own 5 hybrids for awhile (I made 6 but the F2s I made require extra time and space that simply doesn't exist). But where to start???

Seeing as how I am horrible at documenting anything, the truly perpetual grow is out of the question. So, I will plant a few seeds here and there to fill in the spaces. I have probably 4 plants coming down in the next 1-3 weeks so I have a lot of openings for potential girls. Tonight I will soak 4 Devil's Pitchfork x Trailer Trash Betty seeds, get things rolling.

I'm digging it! I think we have spinach in a container like that in da fridge
It appears I am going to be rethinking things. Out of those 4 seeds, two germinated and one of those is above ground, one is just not cracking open, and the last one has done gone and played the vanishing seed game... I think the one that sprouted a tail and died is a good candidate to tell me that I think I actually drown my seeds. The recycled coco/perl/verm blend is simply holding too much water and with the cooler weather and less evaporation they just drowned... bummer, but this is my first time growing indoors in winter time so I will have to chalk it up to a learning experience... enter rockwool.

Also.... all 4 Devil's Pitchfork x TTB seeds sunk overnight, so at least it is easy enough to replace the 3 that were waterboarded to death. I plan to really pack the plants in there this time around, so I will be soaking more seeds as soon as these get above ground.

I've never used anything other than dirt. The ones I tried to germinate before are trying to pop up. For last few days I've had one where I can see a green spot in the soil, but seems to have stalled. I started using a heat mat to warm up the soil. I think it's the reason they are finally trying to start growing. Time will tell I guess

I am thinking that I will put our heating pad in a box that the seeds sit on, put it on a timer to run 15min on and 15 off.

I know beez scars the seeds before planting directly in perlite. I soak mine overnight. Probably start doing all of my seeds with the heat/scarring/and soak just to make sure... in the summer I have nearly 100% germination success, never imagined winter growing indoors could be so much different.

It took me a long time to get a handle on our desert like summers out here. Hopefully I can get this squared away, seems like germination is my only problem, so I will just go with it.

•(Punto Rojo x Unknown) x SSDC
•Flowered for 7 weeks, should have gone to 8 •Low Odor •Super Dense heavy buds •weak mainstem, something I experienced with SSDC previously •High leaf to calyx ratio

Took her into the bathroom for daily flush, her weight was too much for the tiny stem to handle and she just sort of flopped over. If not smokeable, she will make some great edibles or something.

Not heartbroken. She never struck me as anything but a poor phenotype, her sister will yield more but actually has less odor and zero purple. Some hybrids dont work out, I think that the only way to get a good phenotype would be to make F2s and hunt through those, maybe another time....

So I read some on punto rojo. Looks like what we were calling redbud from when I was a kid. That was some of the best weed I ever had from then. Times have changed in the last 35 years. Lol. We'd get sacks of shit brown brick weed full of seeds and stems. Occasionally we'd run across something great like the redbud or monkey paw or hawian. I'm guessing you are younger

About 36. I know all about mexi-dirt weed. I hail from the midwest so if it wasn't imported Sinsemilla from Canada for $400oz it was bricks lined with seeds. A few of my friends parents grew but the best way to get any weight was to drive down to Milwaukee and pick up a pound of brick for $800-$1200. Lol. Nothing like buying 1/4 lb of flat premature seeds.

We never got any good seedless sativas though. Always Beasters, white rhino, or some kind of alleged Kush whose price is at $70 an eighth because "it really is the last bag and I dont care if I sell it"..... lol

Punto Rojo x ( Mazar x Guerrero)s. Starting to look real pretty as the stretch takes off. Besides harvesting, the stretch with the PR fathered cultivars is my favorite time.

Sensi NL. I was in a rush when I topped her. Hard to tell how bad that will effect yield, could still go either way.

Sensi NL x DDA. Small, but very happy looking gal.

Purple Afghani x BCBD Purps. Purpling up a bit. Swelling, and stinkier every day. Real potential in a bigger pot

White Widow x Wonder Woman. She will be a nice skinny budsicle. Smells floral with just the right hint of skunk.

(Punto Rojo x Unknown) x SSDC. Slower phenotype that lacks odor. Not the end of the world. Weak stemmed, purple leaf variety continues to hang dry and is actually starting to put off just a bit more scent, all hope is not lost.

Coffee can hempys are next on my list. Picked up 2.5 cubic feet of smaller red lava rock this morning, under $22 because of the off season I suppose.

I had to toss three drown seeds. Replaced with 4 Devil's Pitchfork x Trailer Trash Betty seeds that I made. 3 went in tiny pots, one in a rockwool cube. I removed the lid of my propagation container so we dont have another seed loss. One of my Devil's Pitchfork x NL did make it above ground and looks nice and stout.
