I will be doing just that, dankman. A couple were looking pretty damn close. I've never had a real hermie before. I've had stress induced nanners. This looked kind of cool, pistils and Male flowers in huge clusters. The top was like something from a horror movie. Lol.
 
I've never had a true Hermie. I've had some that popped out sacks, especially when they are ready for chop. I had a GG I ran a few rounds and it would have e few pop up right around 9 weeks. Was never too big of a issue. I think it's fairly common at the end of there life cycle sometimes

When I grow bag seeds from the commercial store weed I almost always have little Male flowers pop out at the bottoms of budsites at about 6 weeks into flower.

If I was growing outdoors I may have placed this plant downwind and let her finish. She stunk, brother. Like mangos, black pepper, and a hint of Jack pine.

I think they will fit. I'm really packing them in this round. Of course I always expect to have 50% males and sometimes I get a weakling or two that just don't fit in.

I will post a couple pics in a minute here. Two seedlings per pot to start with. Males and weaklings get culled. Harvest should be about 12 weeks out.
 
I actually considered tossing this plant about a month ago. Glad I kept her. Foul smelling little plant.

Dropped 2 Afghani x Wonder Woman seeds today. Not a whole lot to tell. Basic kinda day. I have a good feeling about the crop I have planted over the last couple weeks and beyond. I need to finally get some nursery trays in there. Going to be a whole lot of hempys going on.

Purple Afghani x BCBD Purps is absolutely amazing, tastes just like she smells. Thinking my next 6 seed soak will be this cultivar. Makes me energized and confused. The high lasts a couple solid hours leaving me famished near the end. Lol. Pain relief is evident as immediately after a joint my limp is hardly noticeable. Possibly the pain relief itself gives me the energy. Grape soda and forest floor. Amazing.

The other one isn't really worth mentioning. Harsh, very little flavor, fluffy, with a very mild sativa high. This cross was mostly a failure. Two for two phenos were junk. Hate to waste my time making F2s but that may be my best recourse in the future.
 
Strung up my 1100k cob in the tent. It is angled to assist my mars300 temporarily, where I keep my end of flower plants. See if she does anything overall. Hoping for faster budsite proliferation with the alleged 700-750nm wavelengths included in the chip.

Thinking about buying 2 more of these chips and a driver. Something better than CFL for my autos would be nice. If I do it will be a 6000k 50watt and either a 3000k or another 1100k, also 50watts. I have another 12v fan, chips will be under $20, maybe 10-15 bucks at most for a chunk of heatsink.

Yep, an old mars300 with one bad driver. We will see how well the heat sink works, lol. I may have to mount a seperate fan on the sink if I have problems, likely I should have done that right out of the gate... trial and error is the only way for me to learn.
 
They work. I'm running a barely used one with my QBs. The one I cannibalized for this project has grown some fluffy, but tasty buds back when I was still using cfls. I have the led bug nowadays.

If i had space and time i would build discount fixtures and other things for a living. Two bedroom apartments unfortunately do not come with workshops.

The 4000k of my 2 QBs doesnt give my entire tent full coverage, that is the main reason for the mars300.

I bought this Red cob because I once read an article by ed Rosenthal about adding Far Red light to help jumpstart flowering. My Columbian cultivars could benefit from that. I think the main time to use them is for a bit after lights on and then before lights out. The Far Red stimulates some hormone.

Also for real, the chip and holder cost me $14, the heatsink, fan, and driver were dumpster bound. Made the perfect practice project that cost 2 hours of my time and 14 bucks.

Day after tomorrow is White Widow x Wonder Woman harvest day. She is far from a heavy yielder at this size but lordy, she effing stinky and frosty. I could have harvested today but decided to give her a couple more days to get a hair more green out of those leaves. All pistils are orange and I say the trichomes are like 90% cloudy because I don't see any amber or clear but i am too lazy and distracted to get out the loupe.

I'm looking for heavy stone anyway so late harvest is probably best., smells like the White Widow I remember from downtown Portland about 6 years ago when I first tried it. Dick in the dirt potency....

These last two photos show something that I love seeing near harvest time. The upward leaf tip curl. Every plant that does this turns out fan-freaking-tastic. This is just something I have observed after someone pointed it out to me a couple months ago.

Thanks. I will pull her out for another quick photo-OP in a little bit. Her frost is beautiful enough for extra camera time. Also the hint of purple in the leaves is nice.

I normally chop a little bit earlier than other folks which gives me awesomely potent buds, but I miss out on some of that senescence related coloration and the higher CBN content of amber trichs. Here she is.

Tomorrow is her big day. Since I just picked up an ounce today, I might leave her fan leaves on and just trim her after a little longer dry time. I told the neighbors that when she is dry I am going to bring the whole plant over and see how much of it we can smoke in a single sitting... I have faith that we won't be able to finish it.

Most of my plants are stuck in the uninteresting phases of development. Testing light doses of Mega-Crop. I am thinking about doing 1/4 tsp MC to a 1/2 tsp of Maxibloom. Start that next week when my seedlings are more established.

Think I have room for more pots. I suppose I could either start my auto-fem seed project or I need to plant something not yet represented in my current home bred cultivars. Probably the latter for now, seeing as how I am going to have a huge pool of males to choose from in 2-3 weeks.

Pretty soon I will need to draw up a family tree for each of my hybrids or I will eventually lose track and would never be able to start over or back-cross to the original parent without that information...

I need another light. 2 more 4k boards or one of those Timber Chibi cob fixtures. Maybe I can finagle it for my Bday next month, she already bought my valentine gift so I am SOL.

Back to the subject of picking a male... I have quite a few regular seedlings going at the moment. 2 Columbian Gold x (NL x DDA), 5 Devil's Pitchfork x Trailer Trash Betty, 2 unknown in house seeds that got mixed up, 3 Purple Afghani x BCBD Purps, 1 Afghani x Wonder Woman, and 2 Devil's Pitchfork F2s.

The best candidate is Afghani Purps, the most vigorous of all my recent seedlings. Wouldnt be the first time I planted three and got three girls, so as a backup plan I will be starting some more seeds. 3 more Afghani Purps and ???

White Widow x Wonder Woman turned out great. One more day hanging and she will be perfect.
