Taking My Chances With The Devil: Dark Devil Auto & Devil's Crack Auto

Good luck on the new rig. A couple of seeds here and there is just a little bonus. I'm really digging your crosses. Though I've never had a chance to blaze any red point. I do love some sativa's. Hopefully you and your family have a great Christmas brother. Stay lit and enjoy the day

Take advantage of the free sample of the Mega Crop nutrients. It's all I've been using for the last 8-10 plants I've grown. The DDA do require a little extra Cal-Mag, but all other strains have grown very well start to finish. Right now you can get a 300 gram size bag of the Mega Crop for free, you just pay like $3.00 for shipping. I like it so much I bought a 20 lb. bag of it.

Merry Christmas. I think Cannabiogen carries Columbian Punto Rojo seeds.

I haven't been able to afford a seed bank purchase, or I would have a better idea of what else is out there. All of my seeds, besides those labeled as bag seeds, are the results of gifts, trades, and now my own making. I have never purchased a seed from a bank.

I emailed them about getting a sample after visiting their site. I was told that I should buy some... I would love to try the stuff, but that left me a bit bitter. I've seen on a few different forums around the web of people trying the free samples and being happy with it.

Why email them? Just order the free sample on their web site. Go to your cart, plug in the Promo Code, and it charges you only for the shipping. Perhaps they thought you were hitting them up for free stuff. That gets old pretty quickly when too many people start looking for freebies.

That promo code was not present at the time I was shopping around. I see it now, $3.82 for shipping. Next prepaid card I get I will be sure to order a sample.

I hope it will be as simple as what I am running now. I dont seem to need any cal mag supplement with Maxibloom and adding one tsp to a gallon of MY water puts my pH at just about 5.8.

Guess I can't scoff at $4 sample, it does have more nitrogen so I guess if I dont like flowering results I can at least use it for the first 3 weeks and go back to Maxibloom for flower.

Also looks like I need to get some more grow media. I am going to start using bigger containers. Next harvest on deck will be pretty damn sad with the tiny seedy yet frosty plants. Maybe try to pop some of these Devil's Pitchfork x (NL x GG#4) seeds. They should be dry enough by the next planting. There is something special about that NL x GG#4 (smoking a tasty bowl right now), I think I only have 4 fem beans left so I better set those to the side and grow out some of my more abundant crosses.

Not sure what has happened with the DDA and the SSDC seeds. I have excellent germination rates so I am thrown for a bit of a loop. Returning to the 24hr soak and plant method that has provided me fantastic results. This probably isn't the problem but it isn't much of a hassle if it at least makes me feel better, lol.
Probably won't replace those two with the same, but something else for sure.

After this Red Point breeding run I am going to stop making seeds for awhile. Even in it's micro size, each project takes up the space of 1-2 of my larger plants. Unfortunately I have to switch gears to start focusing on overall yield and increasing the frequency of my harvests.

I now plan to grow out all but 5 Devil's Pitchfork x (NL x GG#4) seeds that I get. I have about 10 harvested so far. That lil heat of the moment decision to pollinate some lowers should keep my tent running full tilt while I plan my next move. Things need to be simplified for awhile. I'm betting on average yields, potent buds, quite a few colorful phenos, and a flowering time similar to the NL x GG#4 mother.

I'm soaking some bag seeds from some purplish buds I got from a friend a year ago. I was thinking about your devil's pitchfork and thought shit I have some seeds from purple buds. Hopefully they crack. The weed was fruity, skunky dank smoke

Apartment inspection scheduled for the 8th of next month. Not a real big deal, in fact I am grateful for that date because I was planning on planting again around the 15th.

I will just toss the plants into a couple rubbermaids and put the tent away on the day of inspection. When they leave I will put everything back up, easy peasy. The only plant that has enough stank to be a possible issue is the Purple Afghani x BCBD Purps, skunk o riffik.

The Devils Pitchfork x NL seeds are monstrous just like the mom's seed and black just like the dad's. Kinda cool. Maybe I will get some NL with big black buds.... lol. Would be interesting to see how far down the line purple color phenos stay dominant.

Everything else is cooking right along.

Take some pics of the babies tomorrow. Peace

My wife got me a cheap USB microscope for my Droid phone. This is going to be a game changer for checking trichs. Here's a OG that's been jarred for almost a year. Was 25$ on the zon

In preparation for inspection I ha decided to start flushing my micro seedy budsicles. The short pheno of TTB is so close to done, like a couple days. The tall pheno is further behind by a couple more days. Both have swollen immensely. The Devil's Pitchfork is just getting into the swelling part, but should be finished sometime before the 8th. I believe that these gals are all nearing 8 weeks of flower. I will have to fact check that after i take pictures in a bit.

I will do a strain review thread on Sensi NL x Nirvana NL IBL sometime this weekend. For now......

I really like this stuff. Buds are dense gigantic clumps of foxtails that are coated in frosty goodness. Just touching the buds leaves an instant oil residue on the fingers. The smoke is mildly fruity on the exotic side and grabs a guy right by the boo boo. I enjoy this cultivar most when it is rolled in an Elements rice paper, the flavor is fantastic with a nice throat hit blown out of the nostrils. Growing was simple, pain free. I never once adjusted my nutrient strength. Just fed her and flushed her at the end. In a 2.5qt pot she yielded me about an ounce and a half of potent smokeable flower.

Everything else is going great... time for fact checking and photos. Peace.

Hopefully I have these labeled correctly. I dropped the Devil's Pitchfork plant and snapped a bud off today.

TTBs and Devil's Pitchfork will be 7 weeks into flower on Sunday. That puts (Columbian Red Point x Unknown) x SSDC at 5 weeks of flower on Sunday. White Widow x Wonder Woman and Purple Afghani x BCBD Purps will be 3 weeks.

The 3 12oz hempys are Columbian Red Point x (Mazar x Guerrero). The large square pot is a Sensi NL fem and the small square hempy is Sensi NL x DDA.

Peace

What is that 3 fingered plant front left in the last photo?

That is Columbian Red Point x ( Mazar x Guerrero) F1.... some kind of triploid or sumthin. Not sure if I want to breed with it. Research says that it could go either way like any phenotype. It looks cool though.

I will be getting a sample of mega crop next week sometime. I will use that for the first 4 weeks of life and then switch back to Maxibloom for the duration. Trying to get an edge on yields.

If the triploid Red Point cross turns out to be my only Male out of the three I planted I will not be breeding with him. I will be forced to move onto my next project without F2s for the moment. That project may very well be a Trailer Trash Betty x (Columbian Red Point x "The One") hybrid.

The provider of the TTBs has requested a modern hybrid crossed with older genetics... TTB males are know for adding frost and reducing flowering time, on top of that I can make more regular TTB seeds at the same time so as to have more to share. I will make this cross later on no matter what, but it will happen sooner if; all my Red Points are boys or the only boy is the triploid.

Not much else happening. Little plants will be harvested any day now, trying to let the TTBs put on some more weight for sure, but the short pheno is looking crazy close to done and she might come down as early as tomorrow depending how her leaves look. Devil's Pitchfork is fading fast since the tumble she took. Would have liked to nurse her another full week, but might be best to chop her with short TTB, seeds are done so mission accomplished. The taller TTB is full of seeds and is just a beautiful plant.

So the 2 (Columbian Red Point x Unknown) x SSDCs are a lil bit different, mainly one is frostier and therefore stinkier. Just making buds, doing their own thing.

And now a bit about (Columbian Red Point x Unknown) x SSDC. I expected a bit more from these two. The father is the same fast flowering Red Point cross that I made my Devil's Pitchfork with. The mother was a stocky, colorful, sour/sweet stanky, and sticky SSDC. Both beautiful plants in their own right.

So what I have right now are 2x stocky, green, and not very smelly phenos. One is a hair taller than the other. One is frostier and has a slight bit more smell. The buds are chunky, but the mom was chunkier.

These seeds were made with little thought beyond that I love both cultivars and they should make babies. Hoping to get something worthwhile at harvest, guess we will see. After I chop the Devil's Pitchfork I will move them both under my mars300 for their last couple of weeks or so. That out of date light sure draws out the Terps during late flower... no science that I know of behind that statement but it rings true in my world. She is currently 5 weeks into flowering.

Sometimes a cross that should be fantastic turns out to be boring. Sometimes one or more of the phenos are home runs. You just never know.

You have a Happy New Year!!
