Taking My Chances With The Devil: Dark Devil Auto & Devil's Crack Auto

Hey whatever works for you! It's your erbs, so smoke away. Lol... They look frosty AF :goodjob: I saw one of your red point plants in a older thread that had some nice size to it. Was that the same genetics you used on these from the male side ?

Not the same at all. These last two plants were bred by a private party and I was blessed to have a shot at being one of first to run these seeds. They were "fathered by a heavy yielding Sensi Northern Lights female.

A few shots from today. I think that I am going to have to make S2s? With the NL x NL

And the group shot

You haven't popped more beans yet? That's a whole lot of light shining back up off the floor.

I was going through my collection today. I know, slacking hard. Dropping some tonight. Looks like a Sensi NL fem and and SSDC. When the NL x NL gets the final chop in a few days I will drop one of those Sensi NL x DDA fems.

Then.... I am still up in the air for another micro project. I dont think I am ready for a tent full of long flowering sativas and many males to boot. But maybe... we will see.

I take seriously comments addressing my wasting of anything... I looked at the tent right before lights out and I was wasting light:eek:

Tonight I planted 7 seeds. ;) almost like the start of a new journal in a journal.

1x Sensi NL fem 2qt square pot
1x Sensi NL x DDA fem 40oz Hempy
1x SSDC 2.5qt round pot
1x DDA 20oz Hempy
3x Columbian Red Point x (Mazar x Guerrero) regulars 12oz Hempy

Hoping for a Male Red Point cross so I can get another batch of seeds going. I soaked the medium with nutrient solution and planted directly in the final containers.

Medium in the standard pots is a blend of aquarium gravel and recycled coco/perl/verm. The hempys are gravel on the bottom, coco/perl/verm on top. I wonder how many times I can recycle this muck? Grows nice plants so i cant find a reason to change up yet.

Considering switching to maxigrow for the first 2-3 weeks before switching to maxibloom just for flowering. Won't happen this run, but I might get some bigger plants with more Nitrogen in their short veg times.

I have been growing since June on one 2.2lb bag of maxibloom, lol, should still last me until the middle of next month. $15 to grow weed for half a year, not too shabby.

Well there you go. That should fill up your tent nicely!

but I might get some bigger plants with more Nitrogen in their short veg times.

Back when I used to grow my plants in solo cups I used to concentrate on building the root system to get the most I could out of the limited amount of medium (ProMix BX) that I still use today. Grow good roots and the plant will give you all it can.

11/13 from seed seems to give me great roots, I just feel like maxibloom lacks the nitrogen these gals need for that short time.

Wife asked me if I wanted to upgrade nutrient lines. Gosh, one part makes my life so simple. One tsp per gallon and the ph is right about 5.8 according to my Chinese test strips. No need for calcium or magnesium as long as I feed daily to run off. I even feed seedlings that dose. Nutrients cost a lot of money that I just dont have. I wonder about tomato food or something.

I also need more medium. I always lose a little during the recycling process, starts to add up. Thinking about sticking with gravel and maybe getting a bag of coco-perl to replace my recycled stuff. Idk, something fairly neutral that I can still cap my hempys with... or maybe rapid rooters??? I really like the cap method though.

Thanks the coolest thing I've seen in awhile! Nice work in a solo

When you say 11/13 from seed. Do you mean no veg time on 18/6 ?
Yes. They all veg automatically for 3-4 weeks no matter the light cycle. I do 11/13 because I often times have Columbian Red Point crosses that wont finish on 12/12, so I keep it as simple as possible. I burn through a lot of seeds going this route, but I am constantly making more. I only have one tent and require my harvests to be ongoing.

I cannot recommend this method for everyone. It is very situational and works well for me. Plants are smaller and yield less. In my world the 2.5qt standard pots and 40oz hempys do the best. Smaller stuff is more for test plants and seed making.

Going to really fill the tent up after these micro flowering gals are gone in a couple weeks. At that time I am going to run a bunch of purps stuff that I got as a gift awhile back. I do have a bunch of Purple Betty seeds.... also quite a few more of these Purple Afghani x BCBD Purps and a couple Double Sour Purple Kush (LVPK phenotype).

Thanks bro. I never realized how they veg for a few weeks either way. Also saves some money on light bill
It sure does. The switch to LEDs and only running lights for 11hrs saves me on raw electricity and on environmental controls. I cant say how much for sure, but it is noticable on the bill, 12-20 bucks less depending on the weather.

Sunday is group picture day

I'm really digging the devil's pf! Love the colors. I'm wishing I had some of the northern lights though. I haven't had any of that stuff in a long time. Brings back memories. The garden is looking great bro

My favorite plant of yours is still the red point you posted months ago. That was a cool plant! I'm stoned and rambling :roorrip:
I have 3 small ones planted. The Red Points are my favorites but they take so damn long to flower and a big one takes up a lot of space. They have to be topped/supercropped to tame their height so they end up as bushes, taking up space for months at a time. Lol.

I have a lot of options for my next planting. I want to run the Purps crosses but I am also considering growing out a bunch of the Devil's Pitchfork seeds since it is one cultivar of which I have hundreds of seeds. I only popped 2 and got 1 boy and 1 girl, so really only one phenotype. I wonder what kind of phenos are tucked away in that little plastic container...

Recieved my deep-far red (1100k) cob chip today along with the solderless chip holder. I am very excited to work on my new rig, after xmas clean-up of course. If this works out and I like the results I might have to buy another in a more standard spectrum.

6 out of 7 seeds have germinated successfully. 5 of those have broken ground. The slacker this time around is SSDC.

The strongest straight out of the gate are my F1 Punto Rojo x (Mazar x Guerrero). I've never grown this particular cross, but every Punto Rojo cross I have run is extremely vigorous. These seeds are just a bit over 1 year old. Amazing genetics.

Tried a couple bowls of the Sensi NL x Nirvana NL IBL. Tastes great, but I have some immature seeds on the main cola??? I need to get the tent wiped out, I brushed her top against the wall a few times and I think I was less careful than I was intending to be during initial pollen application. No big deal, just means I need to put water on a rag and get to wiping. Hard to find the extra time, but I will weasel it in somewhere. Found one big healthy seed that looked Identical to a DDA seed, except it was huge.

Merry Christmas update for those following along or passing through. I ate too much and smoked a lot of dabs with the wife's uncle. He is going to be starting a bunch of (Columbian Red Point x Unknown) x SSDC seeds next week. He grows big plants in his 48"x96"x78" tent. He uses 2 platinum p650's that he got a few years ago and blue planet nutes. Excited to see his results.

I am still hemming and hawing with doing a nutrient switch or adding something. Considering switching to a stand alone nutrient like either Dyna-gro grow, Dyna-Gro foliage pro, or Dyna-Gro all pro 7-7-7. Another consideration is using Maxigrow or Dyna-Gro all pro 7-7-7 for the first 3 weeks of life and then using my standard Maxibloom.
