Taking My Chances With The Devil: Dark Devil Auto & Devil's Crack Auto

So, I set up for photography in the shower today. Not much on updates. NL x GG#4 will finish before the NL x NL. Well, I better get to it... youngest to oldest.

See if this gets any traffic. I know my posts are getting further spaced out, but life is busy.

Lots of pictures! That always gets my attention :p

That NL X GG#4 looks like it's got a thick coating of crystals. I know the GG#4 I grew this past summer was much more potent then I expected. I grew it outside and the buds weren't very big nor were they very dense. After the cure though they had shrunk up and were more dense. I remember putting the first bud into the grinder and the aroma. I new it was going to be good stuff.

I've grown both the Sensi NL and the Nirvana NL IBL and both plants produced high quality buds that were extremely dense.

Remember, when you make a cross and name (Devil's Pitchfork) nobody is really going to know what that is. I know it has DDA in it, but was that crossed with the Red Point X ?

Yes, these are from that batch of seeds.

I normally label my photos better or show the lineage as I did over in the DDA thread. Wasn't paying attention to detail today. Just dropping pics.

The GG#4 cross is super duper stinky. The layer of frost obscures the purple tint of the flower itself.

Well as you youngsters say, I suspect that NL X GG#4 is going to be FIRE!

1 Male and 1 female Purple Afghani x BCBD Purps. 1 Male and 1 unknown White Widow x Wonder Woman. So, what's next??? I culled the Afghani cross and the ww x ww now lives in my kitchen window and will sleep in my cupboard until enough sacks are ripe. Then chop, dry, preserve for another hybrid project... wife says we need more Columbian Red Point crosses going. We will see

My NL x GG#4 looks like she might finish between Saturday and Wednesday or so. Puts her on track to be done at 8 weeks. Hoping she starts to fade a bit. Tips are starting to curl, I would just really like to see some of that green gone before chop, chlorophyll tastes gross.

NL X NL will be ready after that, so maybe a 9-10 week flowering time. That doesn't line up with Sensi or Nirvana's timelines, but it is technically a hybrid so there is really no telling. Gawsh she is sure going to be a real nice yielder. Also this is not a low odor pheno, actually quite smelly.

I have written many times about making a stealth cabinet, yet it never comes to fruition. I live in an apartment so don't really have the power tools I need to complete the project and my neighbor that has nothing but tools, is a workaholic who is never available. Soon this problem wont be a problem because I am getting tools for xmas. Still in design phase, also I will need to get that mars300 cob conversion built. Lol, ramble ramble ramble

Doesn't Sensi Seeds claim their Northern Lights flowering time is 45 days? The one I grew I harvested at day 60 of flowering. So that's what a bit over 8 weeks? And the buds I think will surprise you with their weight even if you think she will be a high yielder.

Tell your wife you would like her permission to grow (for breeding) more of the Red Point X Unknown.

I believe that Sensi says 45 days, which is well passed now. I read the Nirvana description and I believe that one calls for 8 weeks.

I wont be ready to drop anymore regular beans until my Red Point DDA cross and the 2 Trailer Trash Betty's are finished. When the NL x GG#4 finishes, its spot will be taken by a Sensi NL fem and then after NL x NL gets chopped I will drop a Sensi NL x DDA bean to take her spot. Trying to keep some larger feminized plants in the rotation. Also I was planning an S1 Pollen chuck with SSDC so I can keep those rotating in and out.

Wife is calling for more Red Points as well. Quality has been tops (no ceiling, no strain tolerance, just gets you higher) with every pheno grown. I feel like a hoarder with my "Fire" buds... like people are missing out.

Wife gave me the go ahead to buy a couple COB chips because we got a surprise worker's comp check today.

Although pains in the butt sometimes my pups bring me a lot of pleasure and happiness. I would deeply miss them if they were not here.

They sure do elicit a lot of emotions. I got her (Robyn the Pit) as a 5 weeks old pup out of a minivan in New Mexico for $49 when i was hitchhiking through almost 6 years ago now. The little one (Dutch Treat) was an outright and outrageous purchase I made for my wife for mother's day this year. They are a handful, but worth it.
Is that a chuwawa next to the pit? Your dogs look happy bro
Pure bred chihuahua...
Hippy love dogs homie.

Went ahead and threw the "like new" mars300 in the tent. This let's me spread my girls out a bit more rather than leaving them packed together under the QBs alone and basically wasting valuable space...

Waiting on my deep/far Red (1100k) COB chip. Thinking it should help me get the most out of my space. The 4000k QBs do great, but I think I am missing something with all of that blue.

I think I read a Rosenthal article about adding far red to stimulate flowering, but I dont recall the results of his test.. guess I need to poke around and find it again.

I believe the QB light in my flowering tent is 3000k

Yeah, I got mine for a steal with the only catch being that it was 4000k. I'm not unhappy with it, just feel like I could use a bit more red and I want to take a crack at building lights.

Sensi NL x Nirvana NL IBL will not be finished at 8 weeks. She will definitely run 9 or 10, maybe longer... I find this odd and wonder if it may have to do with the lack of reds in the tent or if I ended up with a longer running pheno or if one day she will just be ripe when I do my morning inspection sometime this week

I think Sensi NL x GG#4 will go to 8 or 9 weeks. Trichomes are very clear regardless of the bold orange pistils.

With the extra light and 2 harvests coming up in the next couple weeks I am considering which seeds will be planted in which containers. I know I want to run something feminized to replace the outgoing ladies. I have a few choices.

Going to take some time and figure out how old all of my plants are tomorrow/today. I have been horrible at paying attention. I know that my TTB/Devil's Pitchfork planting date was about 2 weeks before I dropped the....... alright, research tomorrow.

Dawg Walker OG says i should lay down, peace.......

TTBs and Devil's Pitchfork are about 8 weeks from seed [five weeks flowering].

That makes the (Columbian Red Point x Unknown) x SSDC at about 5 weeks from seed [two weeks flowering].

And that puts White Widow x Wonder Woman and Purple Afghani x BCBD Purps at 4 weeks from seed [1 week of flowering].

Going to start feeding pH'd water only to both NL crosses. Suddenly I feel like they will be ripe at any time now, just a feeling I guess. Also the NL x GG#4 is starting to swell, pistils are deep red-orange on around 65% of the plant. Very excited to taste her.

The NL x NL is just getting that look about her. White pistils were looking limp today compared to the foxtails'. Little bit more pale orange in the pistils but the best part is all of the purple filling in on the upper large fans for me to watch spead slowly throughout the day.

Thinking about growing a 3rd feminized seed this next run so I can try Sensi NL and a super special Sensi NL x DDA and still grow another SSDC in one of these larger pots.

Once the TTB and Devil's Pitchfork are gone I am planning a 20oz Hempy Columbian Red Point seed run. Thinking about popping 6 seeds and possibly pollinating with two males to give the best variety of phenos in the next generation.

Speaking of seeds, after these gals are finished, I will be having seeds from the following crosses:

☆Devil's Pitchfork F2
(Columbian Red Point x Unknown) x DDA
☆Devil's Pitchfork x Trailer Trash Betty short low odor pheno
☆Devil's Pitchfork x Trailer Trash Betty tall very smelly pheno
☆Devil's Pitchfork x (Sensi NL x Nirvana NL IBL)
☆Devil's Pitchfork x (Sensi NL x GG#4)

Now, before anyone tries to Google the Devil's Pitchfork strain, it doesn't exist beyond the 2 people I have passed seeds onto. Devil's Pitchfork is the ground work for building my own autoflowering cultivar, hence the upcoming F2 seeds. The other crosses were made because I had that vigorous Male and I simply enjoy effing around making seeds. Cant hurt to have genetic diversity in my collection.

You have some good variety going on in there. I'm betting the nl x GG is going to be a strong one. Seems like a good mix
She stinks homie, like offensively. Lol. Gave one of the swelling nugs a squeeze today and she is tightening back up. Buds started off hard and then as they got bigger they started scaring me with their fluffiness, relieved...

After having the mars300 back in the tent I immediately notice that the NL crosses that were taking their time maturing immediately look more mature. This situation occurred similarly with the last Columbian Red Point x Unknown I harvested recently. As soon as I put the Mars300 in, the ripening started.

My hypothesis is that 4000k can possibly extend my flowering time without added Reds of some sort. The other possibility is that I added the light just as they were starting to ripen both times... lol. I am nothing, but inconsistent...

Final flush/finishing starts today. Very excited to chop these babies next weekend, hopefully

I think I read somewhere that the 4000k doesn't have as much red as the lower. I think you are right about the red spectrum. Is the Mars 300 a gen 1 model. I started out with one of them. They do good in veg
Yes, the classic 140w from the wall. They are decent lights, just have to keep em close, like 4-8 inches in flower but certainly no more than 10.

Ah, took a lot of pics today as I start the "flush" of the big girls. @beez0404 I know you like lots of pics.
