Taking My Chances With The Devil: Dark Devil Auto & Devil's Crack Auto

I have some Golden Tiger seeds (3 regular) from Ace Seeds coming from a friend who has asked me to try to breed more either with male/female regular method, or CS to make fem seeds. He knows I don't really smoke sativa buds but do enjoy making seeds and growing sativas which I give to my friends to smoke up. I imagine I'll germinate all 3 at the same time looking for 1 male and 2 females. The Golden Tiger has two distinct phenos. The Malawi which are more compact with a more moderate flowering stretching, while the Thai dominant phenos have longer node length and like to stretch more. Of course I always hope for the best and expect to have one Malawi pheno female and one Thai pheno female to go with one huge male;) We'll see how that goes. I expect to germinate them about 3 weeks before the Colombian Gold seeded plant comes down. I have a Colombian Gold clone getting big and fat in a 5 gallon bucket in my veg tent. I will have to consider holding off flipping her until I see what the Golden Tigers do. I wouldn't mind pollinating some Colombian Gold buds with some Golden Tiger pollen and making a dozen or so 20 packs of seeds.
 
I chopped the tops off of Columbian Red Point x Unknown just a bit ago. Pretty much whatever was above my supercrop knuckles. These will hang for a few days before they go into cardboard boxes. Very excited.

Wife went to dmv and came back to a wall of stank greeting her at the door. She could have gone longer, but they really are finished. The lowers arent far behind, just want them to get some solid daylight hours. Branches were hanging low and knocked over a seedling, chop, chop.

The Sensi NL x Nirvana NL is getting purple frosty leaf edges at the top of the plant. Too lazy to research... you get any purple on your NLs?
 
I get a little on the Sensi NL the last several weeks.

Thinking a bigger tent. You need a scrog w/perpetual 1 plant every 3 weeks harvest with separate VEG space. Thinking out loud.

You are the future. How to fix? This will be a norm for many, sadly.


Be better if we could sell flowers at the local farm stand/market like tomatoes.
It'd be a mighty fine thing. Best way to meet friends too. Why aren't we doing this yet?
 
It's easy to smoke that much for us. My wife is disabled and has a broken leg, my 4 year old daughter is autistic and my son is 18mths old... I take care of people all day and have nowhere to go.

I am going to have to make auto fem seeds soon here. Then I need a dedicated auto area. I dont have room to build it though... been fighting this battle for awhile. Cant grow enough to keep up...

In my ideal world I would have this tent for veg and autos, a 4x4 for big sativas, and a little 2×2 for breeding. Not only can I not afford the components or the space, I couldn't afford the electric bill for climate control. Poorly insulated upstairs apartment with no central air.

Columbian Red Point x Unknown's lowers are going to sit right there until the tops are done drying or they show amber, which I doubt as I have never seen a single amber trich on one of these Red Point crosses.

Micro plants are hardcore rootbound. I know they will make it, but they will have had a rough life.

Hoping for half a dozen seeds on each NL Cross. Be nice to have laying around.

How do you compare the aroma of the NL X NL and the NL X GG #4? I would expect the GG#4 to be stronger.

GG#4 is Much stronger smelling. Like sweet rotten something. I might have seen some purple or pink behind all of those white pistils.

Overall I am very happy with the near effortlessness it takes to grow these NL crosses.
 
You hit the nail on the head with the Northern Lights. Simple to grow start to finish.
 
Gave the neighbor a nice chunk of cola off from the Red Point harvest. He texted me this:

"My friend you should be very proud of yourself you've come a long ways since you started you've gotten through all the chaos and now you're reaping the rewards good job buddy"

The other neighbor took a few puffs last night and had to lay down, said it tastes like some kind of dessert.

I am barely dabbing or smoking the Cherry OG from the store because it isn't as good. I think my stuff tastes very sweet, but not sickly so. It gets me good and high. I can tell it is a hybrid because of the body effect, but I am still forgetful and walking in circles like I should be after a good sativa.

Still no amber on the Red Point lowers. They are swelling and foxtailing. Hoping for a heavier body high by letting her sort of die almost all of the way. Chop those in a day or two. Staggered harvest seems to be working nicely on this beast of a plant.

Buds on Sensi NL x GG#4 are purple??? Pollinated calyxes showed today, swollen and purple. I thought there was purple or pink under all of the pistils and it looks like I was right. I have seen pics of GG#4 and NL with purple leaves, but not calyxes... must be some strange phenotypic expression. Not unhappy, more like pleasantly surprised. Purple is good medicine.

We will be starting some more projects after the NL crosses make their way to the chopping block and I get the uncle's mars300 dropped off.

Not keeping any males out of the current stock of un-sexed plants. Going to run some hempy Punto Rojo crosses. Thinking 2 PR x (Mazar x Guerrero) and 2 PR x The One. Lots of pollen, and lots of seeds. I am only looking for that lanky pine stank bud spear pheno that is apparently a bit rare, may be more likely to find it again in F2.. Who knows.

Looking like they may have flushed the water mains again. My taps ph is a little bit lower than normal, so I have been feeding about ph 5.0. I know my ph rises fast in the root zone, but not fast enough to drift where I like it. Went from 4 caps full of white vinegar to 0. It had been one week since i spot checked the ph and was seeing some deficiencies yesterday in the NL crosses which warranted my immediate response. Ph of the feed is now 6.0. I will add two caps full of vinegar when I mix up my next batch tomorrow, should drop me down to 5.5 and we can get past this. Holy Paragraph!!!

Sensi NL x GG#4 smells like grape soda.... this is really baffling me. Dont remember NL or GG#4 ever having that odor or taste when I smoked it. Maybe my breeder mixed up seeds (which I highly doubt) or perhaps it is just the way this pheno has chosen to Express itself. Pistils are starting to brown, but no real size to the buds yet.

Sensi NL x Nirvana NL IBL is super chunky. The apical is the size of my wife's fist. A couple brown pistils, but no signs of a 45 day harvest. She may have to go the full 8weeks or longer. Still super thirsty too.

Devils Pitchfork is very seedy and very purple. Smells amazing. I believe the odor is better than her DDA mother. The father had almost no smell.

Short pheno TTB has some solid seeds growing. Not very stinky, but I really just wanted to have some extra random stuff so...... I really should have pollinated the tall pheno TTB because she stinks like straight up AK-47, but hindsight is always 20/20

( Columbian Red Point x Unknown) x SSDCs are coming along nicely. Roots are in the reservoir so the explosive growth should start up any time now. Neither have shown sex yet, that will be any day now.

My micro hempy plants are coming along. Just as a self reminder, 2 White Widow x Wonder Woman and 2 Purple Afghani x BCBD Purps. still have that goofy growing wwxww, haven't had the heart to cull her. They are all unexciting babies still.

Running straight ph'd water with her for the 2nd day now. Will go one more day, see what she looks like, and get back to the regularly scheduled program. 6 weeks into flowering.

Not impressed with the bud size/development of Sensi NL x GG#4 at 6 weeks of flower. The smell and overall appearance is amazing however. Light purple buds, super stinky.

At a bit of a low spot, hard to motivate myself to take many photos or do much of anything as a matter of fact. This too shall pass and all that crap..

Everything else is going well. Both (Columbian Red Point x Unknown) x SSDCs are girls so nobody getting culled yet. I expect to see sex on the 2 Purple Afghani x BCBD Purps and 2 White Widow x Wonder Woman in 1-2 weeks

Got the wife's uncle's mars300 now. That thing has hardly been run. Soopa Brite. I am trying to decide whether she goes in the tent or if I use it to grow a bunch of tiny plants in a tote or something.

Got the drivers' specs from my old Mars light, gotta find a couple of cheap COBs or strips I can run off of them. A good entry level DIY project.
