I just wanted say that I am glad you are still with us after your Bamboo stick accident. It is no laughing matter. My neighbor did the same thing only it went to the back of her throat. She is okay. The imagination goes awry there but I get goose bumps imagining what you and my neighbor did. Nobody here is allowed to die from such a freak accident...Safety First. I always bend my knees and walk in baby steps around my room ready for anything.

If you want your plants shorter.....don't use C02. If you want them larger...use it.
It's really just that simple.
I have a couple questions
Question 2: Are Garbanzo beans the same thing as Chick Peas? lolI want make some home made humus using some fan leaves for a cool flavor.

Let me caveat that statement. If I vegged longer without CO2 and then placed into bloom without CO2 I could get the same yield by just taking more time?
Is the growth period over when the plant stops getting taller or wider but continues to flower?

Co2 enrichment creates larger plants.....the caveat is that it does this in the same amount of time as compared to a non-co2 enriched crop.
Different parts of the plant grow at different times, so when it's stems and leaves, they'll grow larger. when stems aren't elongating anymore then buds are growing...and they'll grow larger with C02.
However, if your lights aren't up to the job of fully covering tall plants, C02 enrichment won't create great buds without great light.

One of my gardening mantras is "lights are the machine that drives the grow". CO planted that in my mind in the beginning and it stuck solid. Atrain demonstrated that best in the last class of grow journals (he's still got one monster to take down) and Greytail is about to show us how it's really done IMO. What a nice bonus for growing the POTY.

I'll check when I get home. At this point it's just the light panel. My grow space is on a dedicated breaker though, so I know I'm safe.

Hey Sweetsue....good day to ya. You thinking of adding CO2? You just took the "simplicity" right out of it!CO2 requires re-designing your grow space. Everything changes....intake ,exhaust,timing of everything has to be spot on.Lots(too much) of things happening.CO2 is not cheap,adding expenses....solinoids ,timer,valving,distribution....See.Like doc says ,it will give you bigger buds to a degree but all your other limiting factors have to be looked at....lighting ,is it bright enough to utilize the extra CO2? Pot size quickly becomes a factor as plants will easily out perform smaller pots(under 10 gal's.) Sweetsue, to be honest....it's really not worth it....with doc's gear and all the smarts floating around here, you don't need it. Just look at some of the BIG buds we are growing. The quality is always going to be there with this growing method....like Doc says bigger pots = larger yields....that's why i use 26gal. rootbuilders and veg. alot longer than most. I'm not using CO2. That was xtrchessreal. I couldn't deal with the complexity of CO2. I like simplicity.

I'll be making butter Thursday morning. I already warned Dale I'd be showing up late that morning. I'll get that Callanetics session I so desperately need then as well. MaxYields did the most amazing write up of making canna butter and I'm going to follow his.

I wanted to try canna milk tonight to see if the buzz was everything I'd read. I even bought a small thermos on my way home expecting to take some for Dale tomorrow, but I have no milk here tonight so, oh well. Looks like brownies. We ran out and both of them asked about some today. I guess I'm doing something right.
In case anyone is interested, the canna milk recipe was to simmer 2 cups of whole milk and 2 grams of buds for an hour. Strain and drink. A dose is usually 1/4 cup but can range from 2 TBS to 2/3 cup. Easy does it at first. It is reputed to hit hard and fast.
Now let me go and do those brownies. I've been using just over 3 grams a batch and that's working quite nicely. I decarboxylize the cannabis first and that simple step increases the potency. I know I'm not imagining it. The place always smells so incredible when I bake brownies. Mmmmmmm.

What ratios did you use? I need some way to knock Dale on his ass. He's looking at two more months before he can come home. He is NOT a happy camper, so we need to change that.
On a happy notes they're going to do the mold for the prosthetic leg tomorrow or Thursday. WooHoo!

I don't remember the ratios, but I wouldn't recommend it, a few bites and I would pass out. Was great lol. No pain on demand.
I didn't decarb, and the milk was a nice green color. Turned the vanilla pudding green.
