SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

Sue......that jamaican looks like a wily beast of a gal!!! Gonna be a killer harvest. The jarred up flowers are beautiful as well. Good job. Happy Tuesday. :volcano-smiley:

Good morning everyone

Let's do a little catching up first. :battingeyelashes:

Yummy! So much goodness in here.

You don't know GT. :hugs: The apartment still reeks of the sweet and fruity tones of the DC harvest. The leaves have A really strong smell and they're still drying in the kitchen. I'm thinking they'd make an interesting oil. Not a bad idea, that. I'll be making oils this weekend. Might as well make a batch with them.

Are you ready to start up again yet?

Kieth, this journal will be going to Completed status. You're free to post here, but I'd appreciate it if you'd also share the post on my perpetual journal. I'm gonna end up with four of these little ones ........

I'm wondering if I wouldn't be smarter to get a GR480, and use the two GR240s I have in one tent? I never looked at them. Hmmm.... I don't know what size they are or anything, and I'll be using the 27"x27" tents. Ok...I'll have to look at this light thing more closely before I purchase.

Keith, what have you started?

------------------------------------

Oh Sue, I'll take full blame, I know I never over purchase grow stuff myself ... NOT! I've gifted more lights and stuff than I can remember.

I have always funded all things MJ grow related based upon what I would have spent obtaining bud on the street. When I was younger and earned a moderate income while raising a family, I had an envelope dedicated to cash for what I would have spent on MJ on the street. An ounce per month was our average consumption quantity, so whatever a oz went for locally at the time would go into the envelope for the future grow stuffs. After awhile, that envelope grew in size, my produce always outpaced consumption, and most grow stuffs were already in hand and reusable without cost. It got to a point that I even had enough for bail and an attorney if I got popped by LEO. Fortunately that never occurred, I was always pretty tight-lipped back in the day. It is STILL a little strange to me to post things like this to the world! SO many years of stealth are difficult to reverse. Even now, after one time initial outlays are removed from the equation (not substantial considering multiple years of equipment reuse), it costs me about $350 to grow on average 6 ounces dry (electricity, nutes, seeds etc ... the whole recurring costs oyster). Ballpark of $2 a day for my consumption values ... almost anyone can afford that amount!

I will be glad to post these things in your Perpetual thread, thank you for creating and maintaining our gathering spots Sue!

Peace
Keith

When I grew my first crop I invested less than $300 on the setup and harvested 4.5 ounces, which in street terms would have cost me well in excess of $1000. I felt like I'd climbed Mt. Everest. :cheesygrinsmiley:

You bet your britches I'm happy. :laughtwo:

I forgot to post the nanner pictures before I went to bed last night. These were all of the ones I harvested, and it's apparent some were immature.

IMG_79236.JPG

I cleaned out the obviously immature ones and this was what I'm left with.

They're drying out out for a few days before I freeze them. They're so tiny and inconspicuous. Lol! I'll give this another go before I decide to get really serious about breeding.

Feeling joyful and curious and frisky? Good.... it's indicitative of you're being more closely aligned to the driving force behind our expanding universe, the force that brings inspiration and the fulfillment of your desires. The more often you deliberately choose to keep your countenance washed in the giddy joy of unconditional love for yourself and everyone you meet, the more active this force becomes in your life.

Try it. You'll like it. :circle-of-love:

One of these days I'll write a manual so people beyond our circle can join the fun. In some ways I guess I'm testing it all out on you all. :cheesygrinsmiley: Thanks for playing along. Lol! I couldn't do it with as much fun without your participation. :battingeyelashes: : green_heart:

My girlfriend is a regular user, but she isn't interested at all in growing or reading about it. Even so I often send her inspirational quotes from your journal, she loves them and you in general. Thanks for being a beacon of joy for us!

Salutations SweetSue,

I am humbly inviting you to participate in an advanced cannabis photographers thread. I would like you to be a contributor and supporter of this thread if it interests you. All it requires is to submit a brief bio, quoting the second post, and helping out when you can or sharing information from time to time.

Cheers

Why thank you for that compliment Doob. I'm humbled. :hugs::hugs::hugs:

I'm so in love with that Jamaican:Love:
The shapes, the colours, and the way you're growing it...

What is the stuff you're using to tie/hold it to the 'maypole' ;)?

I'm so in love with her too Amy. She got a little facelift today. :laughtwo:

Now that is absolutely sweet UA, but there absolutely nothing advanced about my photography. I'm a point and shoot, usually one-shot with the iPhone. All of those 26,824 photos in the gallery were done on the iPad or iPhone. I suppose I could share my thoughts on cropping and impromptu staging, but that's about it.

Thank you for the invite. I'll definately stop by. :battingeyelashes:

This afternoon I went to the chore of thinking out the undercarriage and internal clutter of the Jamaican. She's blooming now, so it's time to eliminate what I know from experience won't amount to much and let her concentrate energy on her blossoms and essential oils.

I started with a wide-open structure.

IMG_79339.JPG

Then I started cinching her in more intimately and trimming out the excess.

Now the center is filled with branches that have space to breathe and develop.

IMG_79547.JPG

I'll give her a couple days to let the leaves orient themselves to the light and get in there again for a mild defol.

Over 20 major tops. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Dang Sue,
That Jamaican gonna need its own room in a minute.
I dig your training style. Jamaican lady def loves it.:bravo:

What a Big Gal, and many many bud sites.
I'm eating popcorn over here gurl.

Sue your journal is a visual journey. Full of great images and they tell a story. It resonates with similar folks with similar cameras. They may be interested in your process. Tips or tricks in workflow. Settings on a point and shoot.

Think of it as one of those threads like living organic soil. We all have things to add. I believe you have a perspective to add and cool photos to share. After all the life changing work you do on the side is taken care of naturally lol.

I think Sue missed your question Amy ... I think those are pipe cleaners.
Metal wire core with fuzzies all over ... Old school tobacco pipe cleaners.

Aww.... Thanks Stage. :battingeyelashes: I'm starting to get excited now. I'm gonna see to it that every productive bud gets maximum available light. She's an aggressive sprouter. Lol! I'll be picking off tiny leaves every day. :laughtwo: I'll learn more with this one about how to train this chemovar and the next one'll be under one of the 480 watt panels from GROWant. That one will be a spectacular finish, although this one grows stronger every day.

You should see how her leaves start to droop a half hour before lights out. She has an internal setting that gets her to bed on time. :laughtwo: You gotta love cannabis.

Keith to the rescue. :hugs: Thanks. :kisstwo: I totally forgot to answer it. Lol! I get them at the craft store, sold as chenille craft sticks, I believe. I know they're chenille something.

Hi Sue,

I feel better, but not 100%, then again am I ever really 100% :hmmm:
I'm smoking my way back to health. maybe that's why it's taking so long.:rofl::rofl:

I feel good enough to take a drive to Fla later this week.
I promised one of my Coumps I would ride with him a few weeks ago.

Good job on the Blue Dream Sue. It's some really nice smoke...:thumb:

I'll check back in a week, hopefully with early start on my tan :surf:

PS guys
that GROWant in Sue's tent is very impressive for such a small light.

Glad you're feeling better Hash Hound. :hugs::hugs::hugs: The flu is not a virus to take lightly, is it? Thankfully, you have a steady supply of cannabinoids. When you return we should talk about some infused oil and a regular regimen. Wouldn't you appreciate this being your last dance with flu? A capsule regimen can make that a reality.

The Blue Dream is special. I'll be growing another soon. I have an ounce put away to make some CCO. :slide: Did I tell you I'll be doubling the wattage in that tent? :woohoo: I'm placing the order first thing tomorrow. :slide:

Drive safely and come back tanned. :laughtwo:

Haha - thanks and thanks Keith for picking it up

I got a better read on them in the next round of pics - post facelift. I use pipe cleaners myself actually, but those look bigger, I'll have to research the chenille sticks...

Good morning everyone:Love:

Wanna know how I'm feeling this morning?

Yeah....... Thank you DrDoob for pointing out my vulnerability. :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

I've ordered the GROWant GR480, and it'll be here by Friday.

:yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Yeah..... I'm a little bit excited. Doubling up the tents that will be dedicated to base family meds is .......... :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

I'm jumping out of my skin a little bit. Let me get my morning routine out of the way and get to the store. Lots to get done today. I believe I'll take myself to breakfast. It's all of 7 degrees F out there. Lol!

Maybe I'll just make a nice pot of porridge and do Callanetics instead. :laughtwo:

We already know I woke up ready to play with the cosmos today. If you slipped and forgot to let them know your willingness to do the same there's still lots of time and opportunity. Set the intention that no matter where you are, what you're doing, or who you're doing it with you'll look for things that please you and cause that wonderfully delicious feeling of satisfaction to bubble up to the surface.

In an given moment you're presented with two distinct possibilities, to feel a little bit better or feel a little bit worse. The choice is always yours. Choose "a little bit better" most of the time and your life will shift until you discover there aren't many times that you feel bad at all.

That's what I wish for you, this delicious wonder of living without negative judgement and always expecting the best. Why, you ask, do I persist in this encouragement?

It's fun. Life is supposed to be fun. If it's not you hold the key to transforming it from fearful drudgery to sparkling joyfulness. No one else can do it for you, so have some fun and play with the universe today. I'm way ahead of the pack today. I'll blaze the trail and you all can catch up to me today. :laughtwo:

:ciao:

Almost forgot... a little Chem Dawg garden joy. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Good morning everyone:Love:

Wanna know how I'm feeling this morning?

I know one thing for sure Sue, you are frickin' bold, I can't even get myself to post a picture on 420Magazine! Here you are posting screen grabs of your Rainforest orders unredacted! You are a total hoot girl! But you did describe your feelings on the matter well in a earlier post, nothing to lose and what legal entity wants to be outted and vilified for taking on SweetSue? My love to you girl, keep on keeping on.

:goodjob:

Peace
Keith
