SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

Actually I don't often hang to dry anymore. I'm more likely to make it into fresh harvest oil, dry it low and slo in the fridge, or do a flash dry in the dehydrator. This girl has nanners I want to harvest, and that's why she's treating me to this wonderful aromatherapy as I walk past her all day long. :laughtwo:

Sue how close are the "nanners" on the plant you harvested to being swollen up and ready to pop? Or will they keep swelling and developing pollen as they dry? Do the pods open on their own or do you have to manually collect the pollen from them?

The ones I harvested from the mother didn't swell at all and were rather flat. They might have had I left them on a living plant, but I have no real experience. This is my first pheno to go consistently hermie.

The pods themselves were scattered rather randomly around the top 2/3 of the plant. They stay mostly closed. You'd need a fine brush to get the pollen out. This time I'll slice one open to see what's inside. :battingeyelashes:

A fun day in the garden prepping for the new light I'll be ordering on Wednesday. I decided I had a rare opportunity staying me in the face with Carn 4.6, so I did something about it. :cheesygrinsmiley:

She's getting the GR480, doubling the wattage. The light in here gets transferred over to tent #1 where CBD CC 2.7 resides.

Happy, happy plants. Exuberantly happy cultivator. :blunt:

Very happy plants! Nice work with the coat hangers. I will learn how to grow big beautiful plants like these!

Super healthy plants .

Thank you PW. I stand in awe of them myself. :laughtwo:

More wattage= bigger buds!! Congrats on the new light sweetsue! I bet that carnival is gonna love the 7 gallons of kit soil! I will have the black dog #1 clone whenever u would like it. I just put my black dog #2 into flower and she already stinks so heavenly in veg.

I'm still hoping the one I have will root, but if it doesn't, we can talk. Someday I'd like to see your garden. :circle-of-love:

I have no doubt you will. :hugs: Pigeons 420 taught me that little trick. Every once in a while it comes in real handy. Wait until you see what she does from here. Before I flip her she'll be a mass of tops, all across that soil surface. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Sunday evening joy:

IMG_79031.JPG

I'll be working the rest of the evening getting DC 1.2 in the jar. I'll have a total weight later. :slide:

Heya Sue.....you keeping warm and dry over there??? Frosty outside like your flowers!! Haha I've often wondered (since I vape mainly) if that pollen would change the flavor if smoked/vaped. Even as a hermie plant, if you pollinate next lady all the babies will be girls!! Pretty in pink!! Happy Sunday :hugs::volcano-smiley:

Happy Sunday Scottay. :hugs::hugs::hugs: Sooner or later and through one method or another I'll get one pollinated and get this pheno stabalized. It's delicious and powerful, and this time I did significantly better than 1 oz. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I dig those tan geopots!

:laughtwo: I have black ones and dark brown ones and these are by far my favorite.

Jarring it up: Devil's Carnival 1.2

IMG_79045.JPG

Once I deducted the weight of the jar she gifted me with 83 grams or 2.964 oz. I'm calling this one 3 ounces. :yahoo: :slide: :yahoo:

IMG_79055.JPG

I'll check in the morning. The 20% is how dry the apartment is. If need be I can adjust humidity with either rice or a Boveda pack. I suspect it'll be the Boveda. I'm pretty sure they're just about 60% or so, but there's no telling until they've had at least 8 hrs in the jar.

I'm feeling really good about this plant. She was easier to grow, was the most beautiful of the three I've grown, and offered the greatest harvest, which has a fruitier tone than her predecessors. Everything about the experience was fun. Then she taught me how to train them to have more root mass. Ahhhh...... What fun. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

Looks like you are fluxing. yay:cheertwo:

It does appear so, eh? It would make LA proud, I think. :cheesygrinsmiley: Good morning keltic :hugs::hugs::hugs:

and Good morning everyone else

I have just a few minutes before I start layering up to walk to the library for coffee and conversation, but I wanted to share a little garden joy before I went. :battingeyelashes:

The Jamaican is drinking every three days, and she just started blooming. :laughtwo:

We have liftoff! :yahoo:

IMG_79135.JPG

I'm planning to get in here when I get back home and thin this out to eliminate all the extraneous growth that won't amount to more than teeny bits. I want all of the energy going to the sea of colas that established itself. :slide:

IMG_79147.JPG

IMG_79158.JPG

Yeah.... that sea. :dreamy: Even Hash Hound was amazed at the sheer number of them. I'll have to take an overhead shot and see of I can count them all, one dot at a time.

I think I'm in for a wild ride with this one. :laughtwo: I wouldn't care if she demanded daily waterings from here on out. I won't be transplanting into more soil almost two weeks into bloom, so it'll be 2 TransWaters in between supply drenches for the duration. I'm anticipating a stellar harvest. It's time to do a Jamaican in hempy.

I'm still looking for the way to get me doing foliars, although I don't see where the lack of them has hindered this girl in the slightest.

Gotta run. I'll catch up to everyone later. Hey...... the theme of the day is........ gosh, all that I feel right now is this love oozing all over the narrative. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart: We can run with that, can't we? Love that refuses to be tamped down? :cheesygrinsmiley: Cool. I'm good. Lol!

:ciao:

I'm beginning to accept that my instincts have kicked in. Almost right on the money. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Three ounces of frosty goodness cries to be made into CCO. I have an ounce of the Blue Dream set aside for a run. I can spare an ounce of DC.

This plant is giving off a terpene profile very similar to the Jamaican, and it caught the attention of the daughter's olfactory system. She'd like to give it a try after a minimal cure. Wouldn't that be an interesting development? :laughtwo:

Kieth, this journal will be going to Completed status. You're free to post here, but I'd appreciate it if you'd also share the post on my perpetual journal. I'm gonna end up with four of these little ones ........

I'm wondering if I wouldn't be smarter to get a GR480, and use the two GR240s I have in one tent? I never looked at them. Hmmm.... I don't know what size they are or anything, and I'll be using the 27"x27" tents. Ok...I'll have to look at this light thing more closely before I purchase.

Keith, what have you started?

------------------------------------

Oh Sue, I'll take full blame, I know I never over purchase grow stuff myself ... NOT! I've gifted more lights and stuff than I can remember.

I have always funded all things MJ grow related based upon what I would have spent obtaining bud on the street. When I was younger and earned a moderate income while raising a family, I had an envelope dedicated to cash for what I would have spent on MJ on the street. An ounce per month was our average consumption quantity, so whatever a oz went for locally at the time would go into the envelope for the future grow stuffs. After awhile, that envelope grew in size, my produce always outpaced consumption, and most grow stuffs were already in hand and reusable without cost. It got to a point that I even had enough for bail and an attorney if I got popped by LEO. Fortunately that never occurred, I was always pretty tight-lipped back in the day. It is STILL a little strange to me to post things like this to the world! SO many years of stealth are difficult to reverse. Even now, after one time initial outlays are removed from the equation (not substantial considering multiple years of equipment reuse), it costs me about $350 to grow on average 6 ounces dry (electricity, nutes, seeds etc ... the whole recurring costs oyster). Ballpark of $2 a day for my consumption values ... almost anyone can afford that amount!

I will be glad to post these things in your Perpetual thread, thank you for creating and maintaining our gathering spots Sue!

Peace
Keith

Looking great Sue! On that Jamaican....nice job. Just a suggestion on your feeding schedule, continue to alternate drenches with only 1 1/4 transplant watering in between not 2. It can handle it and will probably thank you. Ours are very similar and mine is a pig. I do a standard drench at 2ml per gallon of soil and then up that to 2.5-3ml per gallon of soil after the CAT drenches. You have already built a big rootball if it's wanting water that fast so feed away!

Thanks Neiko. I was getting ready to pm you and ask. :laughtwo: OK, I'll go to standard flower drench scheduling. I'll up the concentration too. I want this one to do a really bountiful bloom. The daughter is happily smoking right through the last harvest. I'm hoping she takes to the DC I just jarred up. That'd take the time pressure off. She keeps saying it won't matter if she runs out temporarily since we have other options, so I'm always looking for a substitute.
