SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

That Carnival looks tasty Sue! Congrats on the harvest. Hopefully I will have a Carnival bean going here in the next month or two, I am looking forward to giving that smoke a go!

Oh Van.... You're gonna love it. Best thing in my cupboard on any given day. :battingeyelashes:

It must have vanished then...but....This is my first post of the day Sweetie. Too much Sonny and Cher me thinks. Whatcha smoking? Must be pretty good herb me thinks. RoorRip:blunt::yikes:

Seriously? :thedoubletake: It was something about the garden claw. Ok then..... I'll just let that one go.....

Thank you for the welcome. I don't have much else to do so I'll jist plod along enjoying the read...
:)

Well then, enjoy the joyful journey. :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

Once upon a time, I occasionally have been known to make a sugar free coffee liquor.
In research for such a thing I found monk fruit extract, i never used it. but here is a quote about it.

enjoy

Thank you so much keltic. :hugs: I'll do some reading. It's almost time to make the next batch of brownies. I may not get to it this batch, but soon I'd like to begin experimenting.

She is a frosty one. :blunt:

By the time I was done stripping the fans off I had buds hanging all over. :laughtwo:

Mmmmm..... This baby is mine. :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_77645.JPG

While the buds hung drying I scrubbed the tent out and transplanted Carnival 4.6.

IMG_77656.JPG

She had a nice thorough TransWater drench and was moved into her new home. After a month or so of veg I'll purchase another light panel from GROWant and double up the illumination at flip. :slide:

IMG_77667.JPG

I had a conversation last night wi Stage, and we decided the best place for this girl was in a 7-gallon pot instead of the 5-gallon ones I've taken to using because they're easier to move around. This girl has special considerations. She's gonna grow like three seperate plants, but with one root system, unless I can get those branches to root. Not sure if I can make that happen, but tomorrow I'll give it a closer look.

IMG_77679.JPG

After my 3-mile stroll in the springlike weather I returned to processing.

Step 1: prepare the bags.

IMG_77779.JPG

Step 2: fill the bags with buds. I cut each one off individually. Smaller buds dry faster in the fridge.

IMG_77789.JPG

Step 3: weigh each bag.

IMG_778011.JPG

Totals are noted on the flow sheet and index card.

IMG_77819.JPG

Step 4: place the bags in the fridge and leave them alone for a couple days.

IMG_77837.JPG

Leaves are drying out. The pink tray is sugar leaves and teeny Carnival bits that I'll be able to test in a couple days. :woohoo:

IMG_77868.JPG

All in all a satisfying day. While I was out on my walk I found a cute painted rock that came home to my daughter. We thought you'd enjoy seeing it too. :laughtwo:

IMG_778410.JPG

IMG_778211.JPG

305 grams wet translates into somewhere between 2 - 2.5 ounces dry. In about 2 - 3 weeks we'll know for certain.

I need a buzz. :laughtwo:

Thinking about going out for a cup of coffee. Someone mentioned thunder showers ....... The Weather radar says they're going to skirt to the west of us, so I do believe I'll treat myself to a walk to Target and hit their Starbucks while I'm there.

Ahhhh.... Is there anything as satisfying as a well-executed harvest? I think not. :cheesygrinsmiley: So..... brownie or bong????? The brownies are Devil's Carnival. The bong means I can choose Carnival.

Bong it is. :slide: I'll catch up to you all later. Time for some self-indulgence. :battingeyelashes:

Then I looked outside and asked myself if I wanted to really go out walking after dark, and decided to stay home and have hot chocolate. :battingeyelashes:

You are hilarious, Sue, so much cannabis all over the apartment. Your reality holds others to shame....you are one lucky gal :bravo:

You are hilarious, Sue, so much cannabis all over the apartment. Your reality holds others to shame....you are one lucky gal :bravo:

:laughtwo: I'll grant you, it's not a typical living space, by any stretch of the imagination. Lol! I was just walking down the hall from the kitchen, passing the Devil's Carnival hanging to dry, thinking how there's not much about me that's "normal."

I'll be honest and admit I have a good grasp of how blessed I am to be surrounded by this much abundance. :circle-of-love:

I just had the strangest revelation to my own weirdness. :laughtwo: I'm beat from the harvest. I'm sitting on the floor thinking how tired my legs and hips feel from standing for so long when it hit me. I do my entire harvest standing. There's not a single point in the process where I'm sitting. I stand at the sink and wash, hang, trim, and bag the entire harvest, on my feet the entire time. Today that stretched from 8 AM to around 6 PM.

And then today I went out for a three-mile walk between wash and trim into the bags. :laughtwo: No wonder harvest nights I sleep so well. Lol!

Suddenly I'm feeling pretty good about my health and stamina. Hurrah for cannabis, eh? :cheesygrinsmiley:

Hey sue hope ur having a good day. I had a quick question bout ur growant light was it used when they sent u one?? Reason I'm asking is cause the sent me a pm saying it was used 4 two months already lol so idk but I hope it works out

Good morning Sue ., what a lovely specimen you have grown again.

Hopefully I'll not be long behind you to be able to nurture my medicine this well.

I've got a new exercise fusion for you for your fitness goals this year.

IMG_774911.JPG

It's called Functional Strength Aromatherapy ..

Grab hold of that bar, pull yourself up and take a huge sniff on those fantastic flowers.

This will blow P90x right out the water lol.

I wouldn't be concerned about that Jones. The lights are rated to go about 50,000 hours, and that means you'll have years of use out of that panel. You're getting the GR480, right? Lucky you. :bravo:

Hahaha! If I could even do chin ups ginganinja. Lol! I'm working on it, but the bar is mostly for hanging to let the stress drop from the bones.

Walking down my hall is an exercise in aromatherapy. For that matter, walking through my front door qualifies. Lol!

Good morning everyone

Love the effectiveness of the Chem Dawg as a sleep medication, but it leaves a slight heaviness at wake-up. Time to roll into the shower and get on with another glorious day. Hell yeah, I'm ready to play! :laughtwo:

I'll be back later with the weekly updates. Until then, my joyful friends. :kisstwo:

No im getting the g400 model I thought that was there newest one lol man lights jus keep getting better and newer every other day. Lol if u dnt like ur light setup jus wait a day or two and ur light provider will prolly have another new line out haha but yea i cant wait this light should do an amazing job. Did u notice if it does better at making tight dense frosty buds versus any other lights u might have? Reason I'm asking is cause I thought I got a fairly decent aftermarket cob light 1200w but im seeing my buds from same strain look almost twice as big and way WAY frostier under my perfect sun dwarf star light then the cob light. So jus wondering ur input on how good does it do at producing a bounty of thick full triches?

The G400 is a sweet light Jones. I have no experience with that one, only with the GR240. In my opinion the Carnival I grew under it was every bit as frosty as any previous specimens. Big, healthy trichomes too. My node spacing on her was just right for the plant size. I kept the light at 12" through flower. Hmmm...wonder if it would improve if it were a bit higher?

:laughtwo: You'll have this song stuck in my head now.

Good morning Tead. Don't you just love harvesting? :slide:

Oh Baby, take Tead's advice. I'm a serious challenge to keep up with on a daily basis across numerous threads. Read the back pages for fun when you have more time. Join us here on the current page so we can get to know you before all those pages scare you away. :hugs:

Good to meet you, by the way. I've seen your digital footprints and was wondering when you'd step out and say "Hello." Make yourself comfy and enjoy the crew. I've a harvest to get back to. Those buds won't wash themselves. :cheesygrinsmiley:

........
 Carnival!!!
You were right. Im a big reader but not sure I would ever catch up. :)

In this county there's a thing my wife is into a group that paints rocks and leaves them around for others to find. Keeps the kids busy and out of trouble. Hide them in plain sight and relocate freely and often. Don't know who started it but nice idea.

Yeah my mom does it with a few of her friends.... played golf with a great dude once who would leave bible verses written on balls for other to find. Sending love into the world is always I good thing imo!

Weekly Update: Clone Cuttings and Vegging Girls - Friday, January 12, 2018

Sleet pelting the window. This afternoon was warm enough to go out in a light jacket. Don't you love a dynamic planet? :laughtwo:

Let's get to it. Starting with the cuttings. It's cooler over in this corner in winter. There's no breeze coming through the window, but the whole place is cooler in winter, and that means things root slower. Thankfully, nothing over here is absolutely essential. I'm getting close to setting up a different area in a slightly warmer zone.

IMG_783711.JPG

Black DOG She's been in the plug for 17 days, and although she looks rough around the edges, at closer examination there's plenty of life left in her, and I don't have her on any kind of schedule. If she does pull through I can get another cutting from J, but for now I'm content with how things are developing.

IMG_779011.JPG

I've had them look worse than this and in the end turn into huge trees. :laughtwo:

IMG_779113.JPG

CBD Critical Cure 2.8 (Day 1) Just a couple days ago I opened her up and she was looking much greener and had no roots showing. :thedoubletake: Well....time to pot her up.

IMG_78386.JPG

This chemovar does so well in perlite I'll keep going with that medium. She's sitting near the floor overnight after recieving her first drench at 1/4 strength.

IMG_78417.JPG

By next week she'll look like a completely different plant. :battingeyelashes:

IMG_78425.JPG

No roots yet on any of the casual cloners.

IMG_78438.JPG

IMG_78247.JPG

Devil's Carnival 1.4 (Day 12) She's still growing roots, and not doing much of anything else. So far she's had water only. I'm passing this one on to Jgrow, so I don't want to get too deep into the kit, although.....it has occured to me that I could let him run her with kit soil and supplies, to get a feel for what the kit does and how it compares to what he's using. That way it won't matter how long I keep her around. I don't want to send her to her new home until I know she's strong enough to guarantee his success. He has all my old LOS supplies though, and the best I can do is an ACT. :laughtwo:

Hmmm.... :hmmm: That's actually not such a bad idea. I bet I have something else I could add under the workbench......I'll take a look, see what I can do for her with the next watering. She's in kit soil, so she's good for a while, regardless.

IMG_78515.JPG

IMG_78256.JPG

I figure a couple more weeks and it'll be safe to let her travel.

Candy Cane 4 (Day 15) She had a Transplant drench four days ago. Nothing much going on here above ground yet. She has new growth peeking out, so the show's about to begin. :battingeyelashes:

IMG_78267.JPG

Devil's Carnival 1.3 (Day 19) I changed her age to reflect the day she was potted up instead of the day she was clipped from the mother.

I like this girl. Her perky, punky do appeals to me. :laughtwo: I keep looking at her and thinking she needs to be topped or bent over, and then I remember that it doesn't matter, because I'm going to cut her all the way back to just a couple nodes in another couple weeks and let her start again. I want to see if I can replicate the beautiful structure her mother displayed. I probably won't get her through flowering before outdoor temps moderate, so the colorful leaf display we all enjoyed before last week's harvest probably won't reappear.

She had her first Energy drench four days ago. One of these days I'll get these girls Brixed. Foliars and I just can't seem to get on the same page.

IMG_78277.JPG

IMG_78286.JPG

There's the new growth we were all wondering about. :laughtwo:

IMG_78297.JPG

CBD Critical Cure 3 (Day 40) Ahhh..... She's got the roots she needed to start going verticle and filling out. :slide: She's the reason I'm unconcerned about CBD CC 2.8 looking so ragged coming out of the bag. This girl will do well and keep us in meds as the next one comes up behind.

IMG_78309.JPG

While I was drenching her on the 8th I remembered she's a seedling, and that means topping her will give me that many more tops. So I clipped the two leaders off. Today the new sprouts are looking hearty.

IMG_783211.JPG

Another couple weeks, max, and she'll be ready for her final pot.

IMG_78318.JPG

Red Diesel (Day 62) She has such a pretty structure. I've been clipping off the leaders to keep her somewhat level, and it appears to be working well. Her next drench will probably be tomorrow, and I'll make it an Energy, since her last was a Transplant drench. The new schedule for the kit plants in veg is drench, drench, TransWater, repeat.

When I shifted the shelf around to get her lower I noticed she's almost bone dry, although you wouldn't be able to tell from the looks of her. This is a hearty chemovar.

IMG_783310.JPG

IMG_78349.JPG

She reminds me of a little beech tree we had in our yard. Lol!

IMG_78356.JPG

IMG_783610.JPG

IMG_78525.JPG

Carnival 4.6 (Day 61) Yesterday was her big day, upcanned into 7 gallons with a TransWater drench - and thank you Stage for that encouragement. I almost went for a 5 gallons, and that would have been a mistake. She sits in tent #3, where she'll veg for another month before I flip.

IMG_78096.JPG

IMG_78108.JPG

She's become such a delight - three little plants in one.

IMG_781110.JPG

IMG_781210.JPG

IMG_781310.JPG

IMG_78158.JPG

Interesting arrangement, eh? I've never had anything like this happen before, so I don't know what to expect, but it looks to me like shes's gonna grow like mad. :cheesygrinsmiley: I opened the tent up this morning and she was praying all over the place. Tell me she doesn't look rediculously happy. :laughtwo:

I'll be starting another sponsored journal for GROWant covering this girl. I was planning on purchasing two more small panels so I could double up on the tents and George has offered me a special price for the GR480 panel instead to reflect their plan to give me another GR240 so I could demonstrate how effective two of them could be in a 27"x 27" tent. Since the GR480 is essentially two GR240s he thought it made more sense to offer me this price and I could both demonstrate how those two panels worked together and how the GR480 performs.

I couldn't be more thrilled to increase lighting in both tents this quickly. I was expecting it to take longer to secure resources for two more panels. My plan was one at a time. This feels happier. :laughtwo: The panel will be ordered on Wednesday and the other journal will begin when it arrives.

OK, I have some flowering girls to update too. See you in a few. :ciao:

Weekly Update: Flowering Girls - Friday, January 12, 2018

Down to just 4 in bloom now. I forgot to include the DCs in with Chem Dawg in with the veg girls. Lol! I'll remember next week.

CBD Critical Cure 2.7 (Day 94, flip + 34) She's ending her 5th week in flower at 16 ml of Parts A & B and 4 ml of Bulk per gallon of water used. I'm kinda stunned at how big she got in that small pot. I wasn't really anticipating her being as big a specimen as the mother. Look at the shine on those leaves!

IMG_779310.JPG

IMG_779410.JPG

At least another month to go and those colas are going to beef up tremendously. As soon as I get the GR480 the other GR240 will move into here and that should make a significant difference, don't you think?

IMG_77969.JPG

IMG_77976.JPG

Chem Dawg (Day 74, flip + 27) Drinking the midline of flower nutrients at the end of her fourth week, she gets 16 ml of Parts A & B with 8 ml of Bulk per gallon of water used. I'm telling you guys, I'm still surprised at how big and beautiful my hempies got. I was expecting to be able to fit three in a tent. :laughtwo:

IMG_77986.JPG

Quite the statuesque one, this girl. The daughter tried her for sleep meds a few days back, and it immediately became the preferred choice. Big surprise. Lol!

IMG_77996.JPG

IMG_78009.JPG

Somehow I missed that I'd burned the leaf edges. Next time I grow one I'll remember to back it off a bit. I guess that teeny bit isn't so bad, is it? Still learning the ropes with the bottled nutes.

IMG_78034.JPG

IMG_78049.JPG

IMG_78026.JPG

Devil's Carnival. 1.5 (Day 11) I have her up to full strength starting nutes now, at 8 ml of Parts A & B with 4 ml of Energy per gallon of water. She perked up appreciably when I upped the nute level. Lol! She also demonstrated signs that I had her too close to the light, so I did some redecorating and dropped her down a tad.

IMG_780112.JPG

IMG_78078.JPG

Devil's Carnival 1.6 (Day 2) She got a taste of 1/4 strength nutrients today. Next time it'll be 3/4 and after that full strength.

IMG_78068.JPG

IMG_780510.JPG

Jamaican 1.1 Oh!...... I forgot to drench her today. :thedoubletake: We'll come back to her. :battingeyelashes:

IMG_78169.JPG

Malawi 1.2 (Day 74, flip + 18) Had to drop her down slightly this morning. Her thirst increased this week, so it looks like she's ready to show me how much space she can fill up. Lol!

IMG_78196.JPG

Like a lovely piece of artwork in a display nook. Hash Hound was here today and he suggested I put the light shields back on and see if she got more direct light. I forgot to get it done before lights off - you wouldn't believe how the day got away from me. :laughtwo: I'll do that tomorrow and watch her.
IMG_78209.JPG

IMG_782112.JPG

IMG_78228.JPG

Such elegant beauty.

IMG_78236.JPG

Ok, back to the Spa.

Jamaican 1.1 (Day 83, flip + 7) The girl appears to be all tops. Ask Hash Hound. He was just as surprised as I am how this girl turned out.

IMG_78445.JPG

I haven't been able to count them all myself. :laughtwo: Evidentally they require lots of water. Today she got a TransWater drench, a mere three days after her last drench, which was three days from the previous one. I may be watering her every day before we're done. :laughtwo:

IMG_78457.JPG

She'd be worth it, for the relief she offers my baby.

IMG_78478.JPG

IMG_78485.JPG

When she finally gets to blooming this is gonna be a sight to see. :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_78498.JPG

And that, ladies and gentleman, is the end of this week's nickle tour. I do hope it brought a series of smiles to your face. Thanks so much for stopping and indulging my pleasure at showing them off. It's still a little much to take in sometimes, the change in my life from the chaos of Dale's last days to this. I couldn't be happier to have landed here. :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

Look..... I made it before midnight. :laughtwo: If you knew what my day included...... I almost put this off until tomorrow, but I'd already taken the pictures, and I'm such a stickler for transparency and honesty that I would have had to take all new ones. :battingeyelashes:
