SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

Stay sweet..keep warm.
Let the sun shine on your forehead.
:passitleft:

Well if that isn't the sweetest greeting. :laughtwo: Good morning Stage. :passitleft: Have a wonderful day yourself. Get out into the sunshine if you can. I'll be heading back out for that walk to Lowe's and the skies are sunny and clear. :battingeyelashes:

Lunch was tastier than previous visits, made more so by the addition of this tasty leaf powder I sprinkled over all.

Made a new, interesting contact while there, an LPN with a local retirement community. We struck up a conversation about cannabinoid therapies for the geriatric population, and I gave her the contact info for both 420 Magazine and Green Flower Media to jumpstart her own training in advance of cannabis being available to her patients. This looks to be a productive professional relationship in the making. The woman has skin cancer and her mother just had a spot found on one of her lungs. She'll be making good use of the links I shared, and at some point I'll get some CCO to her for that skin cancer spot. Then we can talk about her setting up a garden to meet her family's needs.

Nurses are much more open to natural healing methods than most doctors. It frustrates me that I'm better informed about the ECS and cannabis than almost all of the doctors in my state. The flip side is we'll have great fun educating them. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I was able to share with the group the new knowledge we learned about applying topicals to the pad of skin on the upper back to modify mood. Of course, my suggestion was for using essential oils, not cannabis topicals. :laughtwo: The group at large isn't ready for SweetSue yet. Lol!

I also discovered that there's a room in this center with an unused computer, which would be invaluable for the writing of that book on the ECS and cannabinoid therapies I was inspired to write. Looks like the time to jump in and become submerged is getting closer. The program coordinator will be clearing all the dead storage items up and making it a more pleasant room to spend three mornings a week working on an actual PC.

Pigeons 420 just posted his garden update video, so I'm on my way to watch before I head out. I have all my pretty pictures in hand, and I'll be posting my own update later. Hopefully the light will be here and I can play musical chairs with the plants. I think you'll appreciate the changes afoot. :slide:

See you later. :ciao:

I have to wait until the daughter comes home before I take off so someone is at the building to accept my light delivery, so let's get this update show going, shall we? :battingeyelashes:

Weekly Update: Clone Cuttings and Veg Shelf - Friday, January 19, 2018

All quiet over here. No roots from Black DOG yet and the casual cuttings are just beginning to send out rootlets. No rush here at all.

IMG_79998.JPG

It's so strange to me that I only have the one hempy plant in veg. :laughtwo:

IMG_80028.JPG

I've been clipping tops all week.

CBD Critical Cure 2.8 (Day 8) She's up to full-strength starting nutes of 8 ml Parts A & B and 4 ml of Energy per gallon of water used. All hempy waterings also come with 2 teaspoons of CaliMagic per gallon of water.

She was one of the plants that lost the upper reaches. That growth was so badly damaged it was a drain on energy that had no benefit. Now she can start again and get some heartier growth going.

IMG_80035.JPG

Candy Cane 4 (Day 22) Yesterday she had a drink of plain water. Her new growth is looking promising. Next drench I'll hit her with an Energy. It's been quite a while since I grew one in soil. I'm not sure what to expect. :laughtwo: There's a certain irony there, eh? Lol!

IMG_80054.JPG

Devil's Carnival 1.3 (Day 25) Yesterday she had a Transplant drench, which turned out to be a good thing, because roots is what I'm focused on here. When I clipped her top off two days ago she had tiny little leaves down here. They were significantly larger by yesterday when she got drenched. This chemovar is one of my most vigorous. I'm hoping to replicate what's going on with my current Carnival.

IMG_80135.JPG

So far she's been cooperative. :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_80147.JPG

CBD Critical Cure 3 (Day 47) Yesterday was busy in the garden. :laughtwo: This girl had a drink of Transplant. It's so strange, but I'm missing the glossy leaves I get with this chemovar in hempy. :laughtwo: She's getting ready to explode in all directions. Another couple weeks and she'll be ready for transplanting. It'll be shocking how much growth she'll put on in the next week.

IMG_80076.JPG

IMG_80089.JPG

I'm hoping to get this one to look like one of Stage's trees. :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_80595.JPG

Red Diesel (Day 70) Last Sunday she had an Energy drench. She's hoping I'll get her transplanted and into flower soon, but the room won't be available for a while. I'll see what I can do about playing with the schedule.

IMG_80096.JPG

Believe me, I can hear her cries for more root space. I may have to resort to cloning her and starting again. I don't know..... She begs to be given her chance.

IMG_80108.JPG

I did some rethinking on the fate of the solo cup girls this morning. More on that below.

IMG_80516.JPG

Devil's Carnival 1.6 (Day 9) Both of the girls are up to full-strength starting nutes of 8 ml Parts A & B with 4 ml of Energy per gallon of water used as of yesterday. This girl has just started to bloom. :laughtwo: Her sister is in full, energetic bloom. This couple were an experiment, meant for me to play and watch effect. She's been in this tent now for just over a week. That changes today.

IMG_80386.JPG

IMG_80398.JPG

Devil's Carnival 1.5 (Day 18) She's looking wonderful, full bloom and all. :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_80405.JPG

IMG_80418.JPG

She's got some good growth under here, and that's what I was waiting for.

IMG_80424.JPG

I shifted them both back to the veg shelf. In a day or so I'll clip DC 1.5 back to the lower growth and let her go from there with as little interference as possible. I'll do the same with her sister, once she gets more growth going. This'll probably drive them a little nuts, but they're extra cuttings that no one depends on, so I can just have fun playing.

IMG_80626.JPG

Last, but most assuredly not least,

Carnival 4.6 (Day 68) Nothing to drink since last week when she was transplanted. She'll be getting the GROWant GR480 as soon as it arrives. Then we can watch her explode. :yahoo: I'm hoping to break past the 4 ounce mark with dense and frosty buds and that light is my ticket. :slide:

IMG_80284.JPG

 Forgot to turn on the humidifier. Last time I checked it was at 56%. She doesn't look as concerned as I am. :laughtwo:

IMG_80296.JPG

You try to count them. I keep getting confused. :laughtwo: I'm hoping for somewhere around 20 tops. That's what I have going on with the Jamaican, and I find I like the possibility of 20 quality tops. :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_80304.JPG

The pins make this so easy to keep the canopy level.

IMG_80311.JPG

Lovely, healthy shoots. :slide: Who wouldn't be excited about the potential we're looking at? :laughtwo:

IMG_80324.JPG

The new growth doesn't look like it plans to lag behind for long.

IMG_80338.JPG

IMG_80343.JPG

By tomorrow night it'll be much brighter in here. :blunt:

IMG_80352.JPG

That's the youngsters. Their older, more mature cousins will be along shortly. :ciao:

Weekly Update: Flowering Beauties - Friday, January 19, 2018

Jamaican 1.1 (Day 90, flip + 14) Yesterday she had a Transplant drench. She's needing water every three days now, like clockwork, and I better make that early in the morning if I know what's good for me. :laughtwo:

IMG_80209.JPG

Everyone's at attention, reaching for the indoor sun. She can't get enough of it, and in fact, I've decided to up the game for her and switch places with CBD Critical Cure 2.7, once the new light gets here. I'll be doubling up the GR240s in the tent, taking her from 360 watts to 480, and setting the Critical Cure in here increases her current wattage from 240 to 360 for her final few weeks. Sounds like a solid plan to me. :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_80218.JPG

IMG_80225.JPG

IMG_80236.JPG

I'm so excited about how she filled in the center with alert soldiers. :slide: It took some work on my part, but worth every minute to get these results. I can't even count them all. :laughtwo: There's really good air movement through the branches too.

IMG_80257.JPG

Take a good look. She's gonna blow up under the increased wattage. :woohoo:

IMG_80276.JPG

CBD Critical Cure 2.7 (Day 101, flip + 41) She's weaning off bloom nutes, reduced to 14 ml Parts A & B with 4 ml of Bulk per gallon of water. About three weeks or so to go from here, and she looks right on schedule. When I get her moved she'll need some cinching up. The branches are bowing under the weight and she's not done yet.

IMG_80525.JPG

The limitations of a small humidifier. I was out most of the day yesterday.

IMG_80537.JPG

You see my support dilemma. :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_80586.JPG

IMG_80547.JPG

I'm endlessly fascinated by the color difference of her leaves.

IMG_80577.JPG

She'll be frosting up rapidly as she bulks up in these final weeks.

IMG_80551.JPG

IMG_80735.JPG

IMG_80742.JPG

Chemdawg (Day 81, flip + 34) Beginning the decline from bloom nutes, she's feeding on 16 ml Parts A & B with 4 ml of Bulk per gallon of water used. I've crisped the hell out of the edges of her leaves, but the broad surfaces are unblemished, and that's where all the heavy work is carried out, so I'm not worried. Next one I'll go a little more gently and take the time to find her sweet spot instead of simply force-feeding her.

IMG_80615.JPG

There's a lot of ganja growing on this baby and she still has almost a month to go. She and CBD CC 2.7 will come down days apart.

IMG_80666.JPG

She loves to pray. :cheesygrinsmiley:

We're beginning the necrotic turn.

IMG_80505.JPG

Oh yeah! :blunt: Sleep meds for the daughter too. She's discovered the power of the Dawg and it's become her go-to for sleep. I may have to plant another seed. :laughtwo:

IMG_80714.JPG

IMG_80644.JPG

And with that happy girl the nickle tour comes to its weekly conclusion. I do hope it brought a smile to your face. I know how blessed I am to have this abundance. I also understand that I have it because I made the deliberate choice to take the risk and grow for myself. The daughter is profoundly thankful that her reality didn't include shopping for her medicine on the cold streets.

Every time she mentions that a little fire inside my soul burns a little hotter and brighter. I don't think anyone need wonder if I'll be here next year, or any year this forum is up and running. :green_heart:

I mean really, isn't this the most fun you ever had with a hobby? :laughtwo:

Awesome girls sweetsue! My CBD critical cure is at day 43 of flower and is soooo frosty! She has a lemon lime smell I haven't smelled before in flower! I run my tents on 11/13 so I'm guessing two more weeks??

My light arrived! :yahoo:

IMG_80756.JPG

I have errands to run and then I'll get to the switch.

Dang Sue!
Reading your post got me in a really chill mode. The plat gorilla is helping tho. :)
You been giving them all the luv they require to become glistening medicinal flowers.
Just look at this yard. It's a testament to the gardener.
Warms my heart to read the symbiotic relationship as a grower you have with your daughter.
Bless you sugar!:hugs:

Take this +rep slap. :passitleft:

Thank you, kind sir. :battingeyelashes: I shudder to think how powerful that now makes my rep hammer. :laughtwo:

Here... some Devil's Carnival. This one smells so close to the Jamaican it's shocking. :passitleft:

Oh Sue - that SweetSue’s Jamaican is shaping up to be a beautiful monster!! What an amazing job :bravo: :cheertwo:

Is this your 3rd or 4th time with it? Or am I skipping some rounds there? It just seems you’re getting to know it very well :thumb:

It's my second time with the chemovar Amy. I'm a quick study. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Best updates on the interwebs. I’m very interested in that light.

I hope you’re having a wonderful day!

I am at that GT, and thank you for the lovely compliment. :hugs: I took myself out to dinner since I got home from grocery shopping too late to play in the tent before lights out. This was a sweet reward for a productive week.

Ya know... ur starting to be a real pain in my ass goddammit.
The bud/plant/trichome shots all just look way better than my lazy osmo grows. Hell... the idea of using my PH pen regularly is frightening!
If you force me back to liquid nutes I'm gonna swim upstream and kick you directly in the shin... maybe twice... and step on your toe.

So pretty in your world baby!

Awww Tead... :hugs: They're expensive, but I'm learning to use them more carefully, so that should cut costs at least a little, but results compel me to keep using them.

I should be courting a nutrient sponsor for the hempy portion of my grow, shouldn't I?

Good afternoon everyone

I nearly jumped out of bed with excitement today and went right to the job at hand. I swear, the biggest trick is figuring out how to get the things hung in the tent. :laughtwo:

This GR480 panel was easier because I had the hangers. I've given away the rest of mine to someone who needed them more. I may order four more for the other tent. :laughtwo:

IMG_80875.JPG

Off and running. Lol!

IMG_80953.JPG

The Jamaican gets her shot at extra lumens under the two GR240s in a highly-reflective tent. She already smells of mango. :slide:

IMG_80887.JPG

After I worked out the logistics of hanging it was a simple matter to get them up. Getting to that point was laughable. :laughtwo:

Another three weeks to go. She's gonna be massive. The daughter was stunned at how dense she was.

IMG_81078.JPG

I have to share this with you: the daughter and I are having our wake 'n bake and she's describing to me how she sees the matrix when she wakes up, scrolling down any verticle lines in the room. She says the stream of code shows up crystal clear and runs constantly, and sometimes she sees language she doesn't recognize. This morning as she was enjoying the show it faded and in her disappointment she asked it to return....and it did. :laughtwo: Then she played with fading it in and out for a couple moments until the day established itself and the coding vanished.

She tells me she's seen code all her life and never mentioned it because she thought everyone sees it. Now she has me wondering what special sense her brain has that I'm not expressing. :laughtwo:

Nothing "normal" in SweetSue's world. Lol!

Have a wonderful day everyone. If you hear of anyone else seeing code let me know. This is very interesting.

Happy Saturday to ya Sue :-)

So, questions for you on your Malawi you have jared up. Is it “the strongest” weed you’ve ever had? Just curious if the breeders write up is fact or fantasy land hype to sell beans. How many weeks did she take to harvest? All important Malawi 500 information our inquiry minds wanna know  Plus now your in prime pole position being you already have one of these harvested lol. Some pics of the race leaders plants from you and Penny would be cool ;-)

Blessed Buds our friend and be well :passitleft:

Sue, a suggestion for the tent with the two Growants in it ...

I see quite a hot spot in the photos, and I think you'd do better if you spread the panels wider. In fact, I'd snug each one up to a side and leave a wide gap between them. The center is getting light from both of them.

:Namaste:

IMG_80887.JPG

You are kicking ass, Sue.....lights do make the difference....keep up the great work.....

Hey sue plants are looking great .

I always feel like pictures make buds look so much bigger lol and the over plant shots never really show the size and features they way they actually are .

So you know I am with ya on that one .

Take care sue .

Evening AB. :hugs: I smoke and consume Carnival. When that's the benchmark there's not much chance anything else will be determined as "the strongest weed." :laughtwo: I'm pretty spoiled. Lol!

Malawi won't get the THC numbers Carnival does, but I find it a nice, introspective experience. I prefer a chemovar that motivates me for daily fare. Again, why I smoke Carnival. I've been trying to learn why I chose one chemovar over another, and other than the other day, lately I've chosen things other than Malawi.

My first Malawi came down early with PM on day 78, just as she entered week 12. I'll post a couple pictures tomorrow. :battingeyelashes:
