SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

I have that sense too sue. Really been feeling it in whole body and lethargy and want out. I generally pick at a 5% amber but have started picking at 50/50% clear/milky and it has seemed to have an effect. I truly am thankful for the community as it has got me off my arse and motivated with focus.
Also going to do some work with a young friend of mine with mums blessing and would love to post results and workings with you guys

Off to make no bake lemon slice as the butter is done and the lemon tree is bursting. And a choc caramel one for the missus.

She came in at a final weight of 42 grams, just where I figured she would. :slide:

Dehydrator huh? That must be destined for something other than smoking?

Peace

Only issue is the laws here. What I've got and what I do well..

As for dosing, we had the rodeo here this weekend and in a tiny country town with 2 cops they dumped 15 more, undercover, drug squad, detection cars etc. While this is one off we went nowhere over the last 2 weeks as the swabs turn up early and we have leftovers for a while. If going to big smoke they have swabs all the time there and we have no public transport.

I rarely find myself feeling... not "sorry," that's disrespecful (IMHO), but sympathy for people in somewhat democratic countries for their laws, since they are responsible for those laws. But you Aussies, man... When I was a kid, I wanted to go there almost as bad as I wanted to go to Alaska. Later, I read of cr@p like this:
Fine me for standing up while riding a motorcycle - Motorbike Writer
No fine for police motorcycle officer over footpeg 'offence' - Motorbike Writer
But that was just icing on the cake-of-loathing for me. The restrictive firearms laws there would keep me out all by themselves (I live in a state where it is legal to both openly carry a firearm (including pistol) in public and to carry one concealed in public - and, oddly enough, we don't have any of that "nutter goes off with a firearm" foolishness around here - or trouble with gangs, either, come to think of it ;) ). Anyway...

As far as work goes testing is getting more prevalent and locking me out of even the most labourious jobs

I'm feelin' that.

which I find I'm almost incapable of doing and retail and the general public shit me to tears.

Ditto. I wouldn't mind dealing with the public if they weren't so freaking STUPID, on average (and could manage to wash (FFS!) - I mange to get clean each and every day, and I often have to get creative in order to get water  ).

This is why I joined the rave community

I actually tried that, years ago, when I was selling... things... and stuff. Feckers would buy anything if you gave it a preschool-type name, lol. But the lights gave my headaches bigger headaches - and the "music" WAS a headache. Would have been all right in complete darkness, with some good ol' hard rock (or even 16th to 18th century baroque), but I just couldn't handle the industrial noise. Different strokes for different folks and all that, I suppose.

Bahahaha, all good, no worms here cept in the garden

Glad to read that. People around here have to be careful when dumpster diving behind restaurants, because you never can tell what's in that next meal...

Though there was a doctor here who self infected with lung worm and found it releases a symbiotic enzyme that helps the body overcome siliacs and gluten intolerance.

Interesting. Now... Had you typed "helps the body overcome silicosis," I'd have been even more interested.

As for meals if I eat early I don't eat later. IDK stupid but it's what happens

Well, that makes sense, if you're used to eating once per 24 hours. You're probably pummeling your liver (and a few other organs) by that practice, and the body becomes conditioned to expect things a certain way. So does the mind.

Probably sensible more sensible than eating late, at least, to eat early if you're going to continue only consuming one meal per day, though. Unless you work midnight-shift, I mean. After all, you're (presumably) awake and burning the majority of your calories, causing microscopic damage in the muscles (IOW, getting at least a minimum of exercise), et cetera during the day.

You’re not alone. I’m 6’3” and 150lbs.

<SHUDDERS> My buddy is tall and got down to, IDK, 178 if I recall correctly, and finally went to the doctor to see if he had a tapeworm or something. Turned out the doctor (basically) said, "Nope, cancer." But he's a few inches taller than you - and built like the proverbial brick sh!thouse (seeing him next to Sue one day was kind of grin-provoking ;) ), and had always weighed somewhere in the neighborhood of mid-200s.

I'm several inches shorter than you and if I woke up and discovered that I'd gained back up to 175, I'd have probably shat kine. It's been some years since I was above 155, and in the Winter (especially) I'm lucky to be in the 140s. Should probably hurry up and have a mythical rich relative expire or something and start eating more, I guess.

Which just goes to show, everyone's situation is different from the next organism's. Height, weight, definition of sanity (lofl), you name it. . . .

Wouldn't that be Get Baked Lemon Slice, lol? Wait - what kind of butter are you talking about.

You have your own LEMON TREE?!? Oh, man. I just ate a lemon a few hours ago, special treat from Mom for buying a gas can, getting a gallon of ethanol-free gasoline, and carrying it across town so I could mow her yard. Second lemon in less than two months. Second this year, actually. I do loves me some lemons - and half a shaker of salt on each and every one, lol, YUM!

I'm talking real lemons, here, not that sweet (yuck) "still looks like a lemon, but..." stuff.

Ohwaitaminute - off topic AND rambling. Apologies. Crawling back under the virtual rock now.

It’s strictly for brownie oil Keith. She’s been out of Candy Cane for a while now. This’ll get her five pans of brownies which’ll get her through ten weeks.

I’ve been considering starting to harvest a couple of mine early, the CBD chemovars we grow for the daughter, to be precise. To get maximum acid cannabinoids you harvest before they all go cloudy.

What difference in effect do you see?

I don’t expect you to answer until later. You have that delicious treat to make for your lady love. :battingeyelashes:

By all means, feel free to share here.

TS, really? You apologize for going off-topic on one of my threads?

Since I only apologize when I mean it, your threads are some of the few that I'd do so in for those "offenses." Which is ironic, yes, all things considered ;) .

Respect!

Accepted. :hugs:

I've made it through the second day of abstinence. Tomorrow morning I begin reintroducing cannabis, but I'm limited to three hits, spread out in three doses.

I'll survive, but right now I'm starting to feel rediculously tired after pushing myself to stay busy all day long so I would think about the lack of incoming cannabinoids. I'm ready to call it a day. See you all tomorrow. :ciao:

Yeah I've treated my body pretty badly over the years. I'm still young 40 this year and I have really pounded it. But it's my own fault and now I'm here to fix it.
I brought my issues up more to bring the flip side to light and to show that you can change your metabolism but..
Breaking the cycle that has been ingrained for so long is what's killing me that and physically eating enough.

We have some shit laws here, but the need for a gun is a lot less. Not so much gangs and violence, and really once you understand police procedures you see they are really hamstrung by procedure. I am a coppers son so I lived the force all my life. Lol so much for obeying, I could drop hand cuffs at 7.
Funny techno suits my mind and keeps it busy while I think or sleep. Mind you I love Westside story, classical, rock, grunge, alternative etc just suits myania

Had one square of lemon slice and went and mowed a mates mums lawn for 3 hrs, didn't even notice.

Just for you to drool over TS. Have recipe posted in Bonsaiweed's edibles list and will post rest of photos there.

It’s beautiful here today Hacker. I’m getting ready to head out for a walk, after I have something to eat. Today’s the day with the 6:00 cut-off and a 17-hr fast, so I’ll be sure to get dinner in. Lol!
On that note I am watching with a keen eye, this is something I could definately try if benes are for real.. Green Days Sister Cosmos LOLnMAO and all

Good afternoon everyone

It's time to begin the next installment of the perpetual. After all, I'm transitioning away from soil, so the title change was a necessity. I haven't yet determined if I'll give up soil altogether. I may keep a couple pots running. I've enough soil on hand to get me through a good span of time before it's all used up. The sativas, in particular, love the kit, and I'm something of a sativa girl. :battingeyelashes:

What am I growing?

At the moment I have a total of 21 plants at different stages of development from clone cuttings, to girls close to harvest, and everything in between. I'm a little overextended. Thankfully, Jgrowlove will be here tomorrow to pick up three adoptees, bringing me to a more manageable number, but still a stretch for available real estate under the lights. My veg area has spilled beyond the shelf capacity. Lol!

IMG_199434.JPG

As you can see, I'm still learning the ropes of running a perpetual.

My current plants include the three going to J, CBD Critical Cure 2.5, Chem Dawg clone Hash Hound left with me a couple weeks back, and Carnival 4.3. I have a clone of the Chem Dawg clone rooting to grow out in my garden. All three of the adoptees are in one gallon or less of soil and chomping at the bit to be upcanned and tossed into flower.

IMG_197742.JPG

That leaves me with a slightly more manageable veg shelf, under two 4000K Horticulture Lighting Group QB304 Quantum Boards from Timber Grow Lights. The shelf itself measures 18" x 48", but as you can see, the plants have overflowed into a space that I'm hoping to get corralled back onto the original plan of 2' x 4'.

IMG_197838.JPG

You'll get to know them better as we go along. Regular updates are on Fridays.

Clone cuttings sit off to the side growing roots. Two of these may be chosen for the sponsored grow, with a seed, as yet to be determined. I can fit three into the 2' x 2' tents, but I may want to stay with two for this initial grow under the light. I'll be setting up a more accommodating space this week so I can get more aggressive with cloning to keep the genetics for future grows. There's only so much space to go around and I have too many chemovars I want to continue growing, and no accompanying desire to purchase seeds, if it can be avoided.

IMG_197938.JPG

The tiny closet has a usable space that measures 13" x 33", hence the name. Her residents sit under Timber Grow Lights 200 Watt Vero (2) COB kit. This space was planned as a continual auto grow for the Dark Devil Autos, and as soon as I get numbers back under control it'll return to that valuable duty. For now it's serving as an auxiliary flowering space for Carnival 4.1 and Ultra Dawg 1.1.

IMG_199541.JPG

Around the corner we have the flowering tents, two Mars-Hydro 2' x 2' x 5'3" grow tents. They're sharing the services of a 6" Ostberg fan and the attached Can 33 filter perched above them in a sealed box.

The early tent houses Carnival 4.2, Thin Mint GSC 1.1, and Candy Cane 3 under a 3500 K Timber 200 Watt Citizen (4) COB Kit.

IMG_199234.JPG

It's becoming obvious that two of these would have been a better fit in this tent than three.

This tent will be emptied out as time and harvests permit to make room for the dedicated grow for GROWant's sponsored grow using their G3HiPAR-GR240 LED panel.

IMG_198033.JPG

In the finish tent, under a 3000 K Timber Grow Lights 200 Watt Citizen (4) Kit we have two girls close to finish, CBD Critical Cure 2.2.1 and Thin Mint GSC, and two just beginning the blooming cycle, Malawi and Dark Slide.

IMG_199135.JPG

As the older girls get harvested I'll be able to get at least one more plant in here. I'll be able to get one into the tiny closet when Carnival 4.1 comes down in a few weeks. That leaves me with one more and no available space.

Looks like my bathroom may be called into duty. I can rig up a corner with the lights I'll be removing from the early tent to accomodate the sponsored grow. It'll take some creative thought and a couple light-blocking curtains, and will only be for about two months, tops.

Growing medium and methods

My soil plants are grown using Doc Bud's HighBrix Blend kit. The hempy pots are nourished by RX Green Solutions Grow Better nutrients. On occassion e may be a hempy with Osmocote Plus. It's hard to beat the ease of growing with the Osmo + and the harvests have been frosty and potent.

Why I grow

The short answer is because I can't imaging not growing. :battingeyelashes::green_heart: Actually, I can, having taken an extended break in recent history, and I've determined that I prefer Susan with plants to Susan without.

Just about two years ago CajunCelt introduced me to the idea of medicinal cannabis in a way I'd avoided taking note of before, and he changed my life forever. I started as a recreational grower and ended up running a multitude of medicinal cannabis threads and the Cannabis Oil Study Hall, delving into the intricities of the endocannabinoid system and all things cannabis and cannabis oil-related. This is a medicinal/recreational grow. I often think of it as "SweetSue's Oil Works." Lol!

I supply medicinal cannabis for myself and my daughter at the moment, with a couple friends that I share with on occassion. I think I'll keep it at that for a while. I want to experiment with some oils and such and not taking on another patient means I can build up the inventory to help make that happen.

So there we have it, what I'm growing, how I'm growing them and my primary motivations. My principal goal at this time is to determine if soil needs to stay as a part of my growing system. It's hard for me to imagine a grow without a single pot of soil. As the current crop comes into harvest I'll be better equipped to make the decision. The soilless medium with the RX Green Solutions certainly grow gorgeous leaves and bulk in veg. Now to see how they stack up against the consistent delivery of trichomes dripping in oil that Doc's HBB kit has offered from the beginning.

Welcome to the newest installment of my ongoing joyful involvement with the :420: community. Let's get on with the business of having more fun growing some of the best cannabis available.
Now that setup is what I call Ghetto love ! 200 pages !!!! what the hell ! dayum. Please feel free to check a newbie journal Cultivator Disciple - Coco - Barney's Blue Cheese

Three-liter gravity bong full of 97% THC extract, woohoo!!!

Oh TS...... how I wish this was true. The protocol is one hit, wait to feel anything, if you do, stop right there. Well, we know one hit and I'll feel something, considering the quality I grow. Wouldn't it be nice if that one hit was actually a nice chunk of a Malawi cob? Not to be. *sigh* I have three straight days of single hits to get through before I attempt to not eat my way through a pan of brownies in two days. Lol!

On that note I am watching with a keen eye, this is something I could definately try if benes are for real.. Green Days Sister Cosmos LOLnMAO and all

This intermittent fasting program is going much better than I imagined. I'm drinking more water, eating less food, and the energy levels and clarity are increasing, despite being on the sensitization protocol. Today's the first longer fast, but I'm having no problem keeping my brain preoccupied, and I'm feeling no sense of overwhelming hunger. I've walked at least four miles a day from the beginning

When I started it was with the intention to simply restrict my eating to the allowable windows, with no concern as to what I was eating. I've discovered quickly that when I eat, I instinctively reach for high protein, high fat, low carbs. It's the carbs, most of which are over-processed in our societies, that're giving our bodies fits.

I'm down to 170.5, from 174.2 a week ago. I think it's working on all cylinders. Increased clarity, energy ramping up, weight melting off. Incidentally, it's a better inner conversation to tell the cells they're letting go of the weight, instead of losing it. When you tell your body you lost weight the brain starts looking for ways to find it again.

We've all been there, haven't we? It always brings back more than we "lost." Change the inner dialogue and you get different results.

Me too, just trying to get the mind in the right frame or it could go very bad.

Are you talking about the fasting Besmirched? Your challenge is to find a way to allow your body to accept food more than once a day, so you can ease off the strain on the organs by getting all the calories in at once. You're doing a longer fast in between, aren't you?

I was eating almost 18 hours out of a day, staying up until 3 AM and having something to eat at 2 AM. Not an eating plan that was going to take me to 100 years or beyond with the stamina I'm going to insist on. :battingeyelashes:

And that lemon square looks d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s! I have a thing for lemony desserts. One of our wedding gifts was a lemon meringue pie baked by our landlady. :battingeyelashes:

:welcome: to my joyful journal CD. :battingeyelashes: I'll swing by later and check you out. I've kept the tab open so I won't forget. :hugs:

That shelf unit is about to be retired, replaced by kelticBlue's old veg tent.

It served me well for the last year. A lot of plants started in that ghetto setup. I'm a fan of using what I have on hand, and it's sometimes necessary to tear down in a flash. This simple shelf made that easy.

I've used it as ambient lighting as well, and I'll miss that, but then I'll have the tiny closet open again, so that light will help balance the energy in the room at night.

Good morning everyone:hugs::hugs::hugs:

Feeling frisky and affectionate this morning. Hmmmm.... could be the fasting. I still have two hours before my lunch, and a couple chores to get to before then.

I survived two days of cannabis abstinence! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

I'm trying to decide what I want to smoke for my first hit - and you can be certain it won't be as teeny-tiny as normal :battingeyelashes: - and I think I'll make it Blue Dream. :slide: By the time this protocol is over I'll have some Carnival to indulge myself. *contented sigh*

This week I get my photo ID renewed or I'm not going to be flying anywhere. I haven't made my packing list yet either. Maybe I'm waiting to do it all at the last minute. Lol!

Time to roll out of this bed and into the shower. I have lots to do today! While I was over taking the picture of the shelf unit I grabbed a couple of DC 1.7. I think she might be almost ready to go verticle. :slide:

She's got a nice, workable profile. This time I kept it high enough off the perlite that it'll be easier to water.

I want the top to come around just past the spout, and by her current pace that looks to be another couple days.

I have about 7 good tips going, but I'm hoping for 8-12 in the end. I think she can do it.

Off I go. I'll catch up with everyone later, after I get BINGO out of the way. Right now I need that singular hit to start the day off. :battingeyelashes: Remember my friends, it's not joy to make marvelous things happen in your life, it's joy for the sake of feeling this good, a vibration that attracts wonderful things into your life.

A subtle, but important distinction. We're good at spontaneous joy around here, and that's a delightful thing. I like to think it's because we've trained ourselves through deliberate thinking to set ourselves to a default of joy, so that of course it's joy we'd react with.

I love our neighborhood. :circle-of-love:

Blue Dream, here I come. :slide:
