SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

I only just found out we have one here in Sydney on the weekend. I would have gone and done the same Sue. Actually I am really annoyed that the advertising was only in a hydroponics mag that came with my light and not anywhere else. On the advert though we had Autism aus at event so that's a positive start.

That's a very positive start Besmirched. In the US it was the angry mothers of children with seizures that forced the hand to legalize cannabis medicinally. Nothing like watching a seizing child stop shaking right after a dose of CBD oil to shock those who make legislative decisions, and yet our federal Attorney General, the highest law-enforcement official in our country, took a moment the other day in a speech on the opioid epidemic to note that cannabis was a gateway drug to herion. *sigh*

Someone should be digging into his finances to see which companies are paying him enough to look like the court jester on a daily basis. My daughter tells me this time everyone in the room looked at him like he was the village idiot. We have a ways to go yet, but we're getting there.

We also have a cadre of cannabis professionals loaded with empirical data decending on our Congress and doing their best to better educate our politicians, one by one, if necessary. Before long the contributions from pharmaceutical companies, the private jails, the recovery programs, the drug-testing companies, and local law enforcement will become sought-after information in an attempt to determine why our politicans seem hell-bent on ignoring the proof that cannabis is a harmless plant and a powerful medicine.

The road ahead looks exciting and filled with possibility from where I stand. :battingeyelashes:

*Smiles* we had an ABC (which is taxpayer owned) article on how cannabis was responsible for scitzaphrenia bah can't spell etc
The crap propaganda being spouted is a joke.
However I too am really excited at where we could take this.
Have started my eating regieme and will try to make a sensible chronological post on trying to get my metabolism back on track and put on some weight in preparation for the tolerance level protocol. I feel we will cope more if we go one at a time and without other distractions.

You’re welcome @lazyfish :hugs:

Yeah... we still get that one on the official pages too. They just hang onto the lies like viscious dogs fighting over a bone. Lol! When you purposely structure your studies to demonstrate how dangerous cannabis is and they still deliver results that show it’s a healing modality like no other you’re sometimes resigned to spreading propaganda.

Propaganda doesn’t work so well with the ability to track down the info ourselves. :battingeyelashes:

Good morning everyone

I had a plan to take down the Black D.O.G. This morning, but I’m putting it off until tomorrow. I’ve an arts and craft gathering I’m headed to in a few. Not that I want the little bird house we’ll be building, but the senior crew is wanting this bubbling personality to be a part of the morning fun. How do I say no to that? I do enjoy their company. Lol!

J’s stopping by to pick up his light today too, another reason I’m holding off until tomorrow. The day is already full. Fitting a harvest in is going to be too much.

Next Thursday I’ll wake up to the sound of the Pacific caressing the western shores and prepare for my day of meeting more old/new friends. :yahoo: I still haven’t made a packing list. I can see I’ll be pulling everything together the night before. Lol! I still have a couple harvests to get through the rice-drying stage and into the jars, yet another reason to hold off on the harvest.

There’s only so much space in my fridge.

I’m on the last day of restricted access of cannabis. Tomorrow I go back to freely consuming, but now it’ll be at much lower levels of consumption. My system is sensitive enough at the moment that I stayed nicely buzzed yesterday on three small hits, scattered through the day.

I sure do miss the stratosphere though. :battingeyelashes:

A little on-topic joy before I wander into my day. Red Diesel is beginning to strut her stuff. :slide:

Isn’t she beautiful? It’ll be so neat to come back after not seeing her for more than two weeks.

I’m off to start the day. Meditation, shower, a singular hit, arts and crafts, J’s visit, a walk along the river......the day is shaping out to be a wonderous adventure. Get out there and share your wonderful self with the world. Have fun. You know I will. :ciao:

Hey Sue, I just ran across something you would be interested in. Ever heard of a gene called CYP2C9 ?

How Your DNA Affects Your Response to Cannabis – The CYP2C9 Gene

.

Thanks Gray. I hadn’t zoned in on it, but I will now. :kisstwo:

Hey Sue Green Day, sounds like yours is as busy as mine... I have some issues that I wont muddy up your journal with so I posted them on the outdoor grow... Plz check them out and comment when you get a minute.... Thx...

After my visit with J I’ll get right over there Hacker. :battingeyelashes:

Couldn’t pass this one up. Lol!

Peeked my interest, rice dry stage? Slaps forehead why didn't I think of that. Any info in a journal I can peruse? Have fun with the bird house and nice catch on the photo.

a convention center filled with seniors for a gathering put on by the DA
Oh Sue,
Only you would be advocating Cannabis to old folks at a gathering sponsored by the DA!
Too funny!

Peace
Keith

InTheShed developed a method of finishing the dry with rice balls - rice ball technique - and I’ve been using it ever since.

Today I took my Carnival harvest out of the bags and placed them in the jar I use for this process. It allows me to hang the rice ball over the buds instead of having it below. I prefer this because it’s easier to pull the bag out to reset the rice if the buds are too damp and the rice stops absorbing. It takes about 40-45 minutes at 200 degrees F to dry the rice again.

That screenshot totally made me want to ‘Press home to open’ !!

Hahaha! Confused your brain cells Amy? I plan to enter that girl in the contest one of these days. :battingeyelashes:

Ah Keith.....it was a moment, I’ll tell you. I later learned that he’s just joined the DA’s staff as a senior advocate. You should have seen his face when I identified what I was asking about, “You know, medical marijuana.”

Just had a lovely visit with J and now I’m going to get out and have a meal I don’t have to cook before my window of opportunity closes. I can’t do two 17-hr fasts in a row yet.

I’ll catch up in a bit. :ciao:

And further more - the photo itself is PhoTM worthy. The placement of the jewelled measuring ornament is beautiful. It’s a lovely photo, all round!

I don’t enter the contests only if I think my entry can win. I enter if I think it’s worthy of sharing in that category. Share your photos there Sue - you don’t have to develop your skills any further. I have numerous pics I’ve saved off this site over the years and I know who took all of them, and yours are always among the most appealing (and getvthe ooohs and aahs from my friends). ‘General appeal’ is one of the criteria and your choice pics always have that in spades, along with other artistic attributes. I think that pic is contest worthy so if not PoTM then the photo comp (can’t enter the same pic in both in the same month). Anyway, just sayin’. Heaps of the winning pics have been iPhone shots (or other phones). For me the photo comp is just about sharing our best or fave pic at that time with everyone and it gives the 420 staff easy access to some of the best image content. The possible win is all a bonus! :slide:

Thank you for the encouragement Amy. I’ll do that. :hugs:

Page not found but the pic tells a thousand words. Was pretty much where u are with what the pic shows. Would assume the drawing qualities of rice would help pull the resin left in the stem. Cheers.

Here ya go :battingeyelashes:

Rice balls

What if u used the rice as a terp extractor? I hang then dry in jars with a shoulder on an oil heater, it holds the terps and ranges rh from 90at bottom to 60 in middle to 10 at top. I turn every 2 to 4 hrs and can dry an ounce in 24 hrs to cure dry, but was thinking if adding rice at first stage and sucking the terps released into the rice, screen should keep it out if the weed. Might be a good way to dose? That's not sweet and should be non aromatic
