SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

As the grow winds down to a crawl and I prepare to head to San Diego, where I'll be meeting with Dan from Timber Grow Lights to discuss the new lights I'll be using in June I thought it'd be fun to take a look at my first lighting plan from my first grow, in the tiny closet. :battingeyelashes:

My plan for bringing Buddha and The Bomb to successful harvest. :green_heart:

Every bit of it was inspired by what I'd learned here on :420: and it was a wonderful ride. :slide: I can still hear the wonder in everyone's voices when I surrounded those plants with light.

I had no idea what I was doing.

Thats a lot of amber for just shy of 8 weeks. The one I'm playing with don't show that much after close to 9 weeks. But looks like some tasty shit. The only complaints I've seen about the one I'm working with was yield. But then I only bought a single seed so I don't know what variations there are. Congrats on the harvest,

Thanks Woody. :hugs: I grew her out in part because I couldn't let her look bad in front of you. Lol! She smells incredible! I didn't know cannabis could smell like this. I have that branch hanging in the hall driving me nuts!

The chemovar may be a small yielder. I haven't researched. That accelerated development may have been the lights. She was under one of the GROWant GR240 units. I noticed the plants seem to be pushed to the limit under them. My Carnival hermied! Not simply hermied, but pushed them out all over the plant! I've never had that happen before. She gave me a decent harvest though, so I'll not complain. Freaked me a little though.

You are doing a better job of controlling your anger. That part is blatantly obvious. Be kinder to yourself and it melts away easier. It took me 64 years to learn to stop beating up on myself. Don't let it take that long for you. :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:
Amen ✊

You know.....I'm sitting here on my floor getting righteously blasted into the stratosphere, remembering how every day was filled with the anxiety of finding enough money to "call Mike for some stuff" , but holidays were a tad more stressful, because you wanted to get just a little more to celebrate.

Ancient history. Now I walk into the kitchen, open the cupboard door and ask myself "Where's the Carnival?" :yahoo:

Deliberate joy has its benefits. :battingeyelashes:

You've come a long way, Baby! Missed you!:love::love:

I’m headed to vacation this week K. San Diego and Phoenix. :yahoo: I’ll get to visit my first dispensary. :slide:
I’ll be starting a new journal with new lights when I get back.

We missed you something fierce mister. :circle-of-love: Good to see you around again.

I know I'm there when I exhale and get mesmerized by the smoke. Lol!

Back to my preparations. :slide:

Hi Sue,

Had to take a Carnival OD laydown huh?

A grow I helped setup back in Cali ran two Growant GR480 panels in a 2x4 tent. She called me last weekend to give me the final dry yields for her 6 Blue Dream plants, 8.7 ounces dry. Not bad, saving her and her husband 5 months of dispensary financial stress. Yay! My reward! The GR480 definitely flower very well! I think I could have helped raise that number about 50%, but I wanted to keep it simple for her first grow. Good job GrowAnt.

Peace
Keith

Happy Mothers Day Sue, and all other 420Magazine Moms!
Y'all are the best!

Why thank you Dabber. :hugs: I had a lovely afternoon with my daughter at the local coffee house. I'm busy getting all the oils, pain creams and brownies made and distributed before I head out on my own vacation. Have fun with yours. I know you pampered that wife of yours today. :battingeyelashes:

WooHoo! :yahoo: This is wonderful news Keith. Has she started the next round?

I'm making Carnival brownies tonight so I can get back to my preferred dosing and have some ready when I return from vacation. Smoking fresh is a special delight, but it's the 11-hydroxy buzz that really fuels me. :slide:

It's good to have a stash again Jim. It was starting to look empty in there. Lol! It's nerve wracking not to have anything in veg to replace all these harvests I keep doing, but Hash Hound has a couple clones I can toss under the lights, and I still have two in veg to be flipped as soon as I get back.

I know it'll all work out. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

I did. It was also the mom and laws birthday weekend. So I got to do one of the things I enjoy most, to cook for loved ones.

Glad you had a good afternoon. And yes I do know you have a vacation planned. I'm jealous. It's always fun to get to spend time with 420 members face to face. I'm working on sneaking tokes and hellos in myself.

:high-five::passitleft:

I can’t believe I didn’t stop here at all yesterday, and then forgot to get this posted this morning. I ‘ve been going constantly all day.

I guess I’ve been busy. Lol!

Good afternoon everyone

Yes, it’s been a tad busy, tying up all the loose ends before I go. The daughter did her first unassisted drenches of the hempy pots yesterday and she’ll do the Red Diesel timorrow. She’s confident that with her tutorial she can do soil drenches too. :yahoo:

Down to three plants in the garden. It feels so strange. The Jamaican came down this morning. She had much more amber trichomes than I thought, considering she was only 57 days into flower.

She didn't turn out to be very much after I stripped away the fans. Lots of little buds and few substantial ones.

Every one covered in lovely, fragrant trichomes. :slide:

Only 90 grams in the bag, much of which will be converted into oil. We'll run out of CBD CC oil, the daughter's base meds, before the next harvest, and we're about to give the Jamaican a try for capsule oil. They share common cannabinoid counts. I'm hoping the terpene differences don't cause issues.

90 grams wet means just around 3/4 oz dry. All that to get less than an ounce. We'll improve as we go. This is my last Jamaican in soil, at least for the time being

She had a rough life. Something else we'll improve on.

I still have much to learn about growing the cultivar, and I've enjoyed every one so far, despite the challenges it's presented me. Unfortunately, I don't have a clone of this chemovar, so when I get back we'll start another seed and hope to strike gold again. All things work for good, including my sudden failure to clone successfully. Isn't it fun how that happens?

Off to tie up the last of the loose ends. Hash Hound's taking me to the airport here and Doob's picking me up in San Diego. This is going to be the sweetest fun ever. :yahoo:
