if they are wired in rows of series, sort of like the Christmas lights,

if one goes out does the whole row go out? :geek:

actually it would be the same issue if one of your lights burnt out because the electricity goes in a loop (series) through each light.

I doubt it, but it's worth asking Dan about.

the site I linked earlier has some good simple plans for DIYers
and the gallery has some nice pics of single rows of quantums grids

I haven't seen any fans involved in the quantums so far.

Fans aren't necessary because they vent the heat off efficiently.

You know i think we humans have gotten too far from our roots. There are a lot of beneficial plants, ive always been interested in plant medicine and i have plenty in my arsenal, sadly im pretty sure im not allowed to talk about that stuff on this site. I avoid most pharmaceuticals when i can and opt for natures medicines. Cannabis is deffinitely my favorite one though lol.

I'm sure SweetSue must have some thread that would make a good fit for the other medicine plants.

Had a good laugh there lexort. I don't, but the voice in my head said "YET!"

See i noticed in the guidelines light conversation is allowed but no threads i guess? If it would be allowed anywhere i guess it would be the off topic subforum maybe but yet wouldnt that be making a dedicated thread? I would love to discuss such things but would rather not be banned lol. Lot of plants deserve recognition for their healing properties.

Off topics is pretty much wide open, I believe. You can start a thread on just about anything there, but I'd think a thread on medicinal plants other than cannabis would be a good candidate for the medical lounge. Angry Bird and I maintain one there on home remedies, and she covers many medicinal herbs. It's one of her passions.

You could have fixed your blender, for less than .50 cents, 3 butt connectors and some tape. I've accidentally chopped few cords over the years lol

Yeah....tossing that in a moment of frustration wasn't one of my more intelligent moves. Sometimes I can be more reactionary than the event calls for, and it usually bites me in the ass when it happens. The cosmos will supply another when when the need arises. It always comes through for me. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Ok so i guess i should go take a peek over that way lol. Ive always tried to be careful what i talk about on here cause i thought only 420 related stuff was ok glad to know i was wrong. I think AngryBird and i would get along just fine in that case. Think i will go check out the medical lounge. Ill be honest i havent even fully explored this site lol maybe its time i did.

Quantum boards use the same diodes as the sunboards I am using. Samsung Lm561c diodes. They are super efficient. No onboard fans necessary but you must have a circulation fan that blows across the whole light.

Sometimes quantums are wired in parallel so if one board went out it could cause thermal runaway. So adding a fuse is a good thing. Boards are the next level of effectiveness in led.

Thanks Shiggity. Glad it caught your eye. Good morning, by the way. :hugs:

How does one attach a fuse? Should I expect its already in the driver?

:420: wants to be seperate from the whole tune in/ drop out image. They prefer the psychadelic healing therapy discussions to be at a place like reset<dot>me. If you find a good place, let me know :)

It's not always easy to get answers to questions like: If you have a intolerance to eating nightshades, should you handle mandrake root?

I do like what I hear indeed. But what if you live in a ice cold remote and god-forsaken location on this planet - Can Doc help even us who live where santa comes from?

Doc's kit is like living organic soil on speed. :laughtwo: I started my journey with Clackamas Coots-style LOS, a soil that definitely grows some of the best high brix with the least amount of effort you can choose. Then someone gifted me Doc's kit. It was like the universe stepped forward and said "Susan, stop working so hard at it. Here, have even more fun."

The high brix Doc's kit produces is consistently superior in every way to any method I've tried so far. The ash residue is always white, the terpene expression always more pronounced. The CAT is one of the big features. Doc has figured out how to keep the plants right at the sweet spot from beginning to end, but the CAT, and the way it flips the energy in the soil community, unlocking the nutrients necessary for the best oil production at the right time is the greatest bonus of the system, IMO.

The community of cultivators surrounding Doc on this site brainstorm the hell out of every nuiance of the kit, pushing it to greater heights of performance. It's really a wonder to be part of, all those dedicated and curious brains with little or no ego shoving its way into the mix. Sure, they're a little manic sometimes in their devotion to the man, but by God, he's made our lives so much easier most of us would walk through a wall for him. He not only made it reliable and consistent in results, he kept it affordable and he has the fastest delivery I've seen next to Amazon. He's not fooling around in his dream to change the way we grow. His desciples are devoted enough to push the agenda and set ego aside for the driving interest to grow the best damn cannabis on the planet and help our neighbors do the same.

Yeah......we do get passionate, don't we? :laughtwo:

There's another thing keeping me from going all the way when it comes to certain aspects of my growing. I may be paranoid, but I dread to get post from abroad containing products for cannabis production. I would end up years in prison if they caught me - Even if I just grow some med for myself. They would never believe I actually use it all myself. It's true though - I do. They would call this a drug-factory and put me away for quite a while.

So I don't even order seeds from abroad anymore. I bought a load of genetics long time ago and I waited almost a year before I dared plant a seed. There is luckily two shops in this country importing and selling seeds. So I do buy from there. But they don't really have the latest and most trendy in Cannabis. Sadly :)

I would like to get into living soil, but by making it myself maybe? With the stuff I can find locally. So I don't leave any traces for them to follow. But I'm not quite sure where to get started.

Maybe by loosening up the paranoia slightly? I don't know. I don't want to go to jail

I was wondering about a thing. What's the difference between doc's kit and what they do at highbrix gardens? I mean - I know I can't send a soil sample to doc here, but they're both about making the soil into a living thing? right?
I believe doc uses the same lab that they use at highbrix gardens. It's the exact same concept, doc has just streamlined it for our favorite plant.
