SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

Another beautiful day in the garden of SweetSue...:Namaste: I'm working on my list of strains so I can research those terpenes.

Also, a little secret I will share with you about my number of posts.
I have been reporting spambots like crazy and that is how my posts increase. Believe it or not, I use spambots as a brain game. I'll explain; when having this disease, I lost my mind filters and became very impulsive, not taking the time to judge what is right and what is wrong. I have become someone who speaks her mind, a little too much...lol.

So to help my brain decipher between good and bad, I scroll through the threads as a I read, they represent good, then I see a spambot, report it, and that represents bad. It is training my brain to think before I act while focusing on the task at hand. It's a little thing, but I've been doing this since Oct 2016 and it's had an impact on my impulsivity. In the meantime, I end up contributing to this beautiful site that makes me feel important. Pretty weird eh? The things I'll do to retrain my brain is so unorthodox but works in every way possible.

Anyways, I'm in bed resting today from the big last week. Just wanted to say your garden is looking fresh and colourful dawling...lol.
:Namaste:

:laughtwo: Thank you, my dear. :battingeyelashes:  I figured the excitement of the past week might have made you need a bit more rest. I have to say, I admire the brain games you play, and I have no doubt that your building new pathways faster than any confusion. Once the CBD starts cleaning the plaque away in those tangled sections of the brain more connections will be possible. I don't know about you, but that makes me a little giddy thinking about it. Lol!

I'm so pleased you find my point-and-shoot extravaganzas enjoyable. :cheesygrinsmiley: Here ya go, one more before I turn into a sleeping woman.

My newest grow space.

Sue I still think your garden looks tropical! Can I go on vacation to your garden? I don't have money for a tropical island...

Anyway, I'm going to be a bit rude and show you guys this:

You're more than welcome dear. Finding out that limonene, pinene and linalool are suggested for Alzheimer's was a bonus for me. There are other members who will benefit from that knowledge, and you just gave me a good reason to mention it on my own pages. Thank you for that, and for having the courage to expose so much of your own journey to overcome the obstacles.

This site is all about hope, and your story feeds right into that.

And thank you. Life is futile without forgiveness. The man's in pain. He's my beloved's baby brother and he lives in the apartment right below me. Bi Polar and reactionary, I take a risk every time I reach out to him, but my nature won't let me approach him any other way. This time he understands the therapeutic value of cannabis more than ever before. That potential relief will be enough to keep him cooperative. He watched this disease eat away at his brother for 20 years. He has no illusions of what lies ahead if he does nothing.

I may be able to help him in a way I wasn't able to help his brother. I didn't learn about the healing potential of cannabis until it was too late for my husband. This may be me trying for a grab at redemption, but that doesn't matter if I can help him avoid the ravages of diabetes.

That's fantastic news that you both have managed a reconciliation Sue ..

I would be very interested in your suggestions for treatment for diabetes as I have just been diagnosed with that too while I'm back in hospital for my ongoing neurological issues.
Any help, advice and knowledge will always be warmly welcomed from all of you fine people here. .

As I work through the protocol with him I'll keep you in mind ginganinja. This is advanced healing 101 in my book. To my knowledge a successful administration of cannabis to manage diabetes hasn't been developed yet. If so, they're keeping it to themselves. In the end it's all basic biology.

Your medical team will overwhelm you with information on nutritional and lifestyle changes geared to maintaining good glucose control. Take all of their advice to heart. I advise you right now to read my thread on supporting the ECS without cannabis. The three easiest things you can do to support the ECS is to start taking at least 1000 units of omega-3 supplements to give the body the building blocks for endocannabinoid creation, a probiotic with at least 50 billion cultures to reestablish a gut flora capable of eliminating inflammation from the digestive atmosphere and thereby reducing the opportunity for disease to progress, and a magnesium supplement.

Consistently supplying these basic components to your daily protocol will do more than anything else to advance homeostasis other than keeping a positive image in your mind of yourself healthy and whole as a roadmap for the ECS to follow. Remember that over 90% of doctors in the US don't even know we have an ECS, so hoping they know how to augment its restoration is like spitting in the wind. It'll be your job to teach them.

You should be using cannabis in some form every day. I warn you, eventually I'm going to advise you try cannabis oil suppositories to increase the cannabinoid values of your administered doses beyond what euphoric levels your body would normally be able to tolerate. By the time diabetes is diagnosed extensive systemic damage has occurred and rebuilding will take time. Healing at the cellular level will always require more time.

Complications of diabetes took my beloved's life. Had I know 20 years ago what I know now about the ECS and its healing potential he might well be sleeping beside me this morning a vibrant and healthy man. We'll never know, and I believe all things happen in their right time, but still, one has to wonder how many of us have to die early of painful maladies when this plant has the potential to help us heal from these diseases. When I consider the money we might not be putting into the health care structure for testing and medications that complicate more than they heal.......... I suddenly realize why we're still fighting for the basic human right to grow and administer herbal cures.

What you've managed to do is to successfully get your auto to flowering. Well done. :high-five: They start flowering so early it's sometimes shocking. What inspired the choice of Auto Fresh Candy, if I may be so bold?

Well, the breeder says that it's 6 weeks from seed to harvest soooo... I think she still needs to grow a lot. And Auto Fresh Candy? Because I liked the way it sounds and... apperently it's a very sweet sugar tasting strain so I had to try that. But also this arrived:

I have so many seeds! But that's only nice!

Whats ECS?

ECS = Endocannabinoid system, the reason we should all be allowed to consume cannabis at any level we choose to. Cannabis, cannabinoids, endocannabinoid system. The triad of systemic healing at a cellular level.

Good morning everyone

Another joyful day full of opportunities to share. Aren't you glad now that you woke up this morning? All that potential. :dreamy:

All the daily gardening chores are tended to. We have flowers developing in the tent. :cheesygrinsmiley:

They've been under 12/12 for 13 days now. Right on schedule. :blunt: It's not what happens folks, it's how we react to it. It'll be interesting to see what kind of yield I can get from them. At this moment, looking at them up close and personal, I'm thinking I may not end up that far off from previous grows. There's a shitload of bud sites opening up. I'm starting to get excited. :slide:

Get out there now and spread that joy far and wide. I'll do my best over here in the Burgh. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

......... Don't you just love growing these beautiful plants?

Good morning sue! Since you have the knowledge on using this wonderful plant of ours as medicine , I have a question for you. One of my friends just informed me that he has a condition called "sleep paralysis" and he smokes just to be able to sleep. He said it is like the movie Inception and has a dream within a dream. Sleeps for 15 mins but to him seems like 8 hours. Time moves slower. So with this being said, I'm trying to find a strain to help him with this. He doesn't have a high tolerance so potency isn't an issue. Just wanted to hear your take on it.

:hugs: :hugs: :thanks: :hugs: :hugs:

Sue

I'm back from Vegas and only lost about 200
Cool weather the whole time. Low 70's and 30-40 mph winds.
So windy dust pitted my sunglasses when I went for a long walk.
I had my hoodie on the whole time. It finally got into the 80's the last day.

I went to a place called the Reef Dispensary and tried to at least get a tour or a peek inside.
The place was about as big as a large grocery store. And I smelled it a block away.
They wouldn't even let me in the room to see what they sell and no chance of seeing the grow room.
I even mentioned 420mag and asked them to see if anyone in the back was a member.
I was bummed.
They told me to go on line and get card and come back.
I told them I brought better stuff with me than they have and I just wanted to look around.

anyway....
I did bring 3 joints with me in checked baggage.
I used a seal-a-meal to put them in and put that in my shaving kit.
No way smell gets out of that sealed package.
When I opened it up the hotel room REALLY stunk.

on the positive side when I got home I was relieved my WW hadn't shed her pollen yet.
I was afraid the sacs would have opened up and affected the whole plant.
I want to try to pollinate only a branch or two. We'll see what happens now.

 That sounds like our Jamaican adventure. A couple of the guys would respond to the aggressive ganja vendors on the beach by pulling a bag out of their pocket, letting them spot the obvious quality and have the fantastic aromas of the Tangie hit their astonished nostrils and casually say

"No thanks man. I brought better than you grow." :cheesygrinsmiley:

After a while they stopped approaching the group. :laughtwo:

Thank goodness the WW went along with your vacation plans. Had to laugh at the weather report. Remember my seven cold weeks in Phoenix? Why is it that when we leave the Burgh in winter the cold follows us? Lol! I'm excited about your breeding project. I'll have to try some when it gets to that point, if I'm still in this area. :battingeyelashes:

Interesting Nis. Is he having any luck with the strain he's using right now? If so, can you find out the name? It'd be helpful to find out what terpene profile has worked.

THC suppresses REM, so it shouldn't surprise anyone that it's an effective treatment for sleep paralysis. I found a site called "Lucid Guide" that I'd recommend you share with your buddy. In his post "The search for a cure for sleep paralysis " lucid logic mentions control of sleep paralysis with a protocol as simple as one hit 30 minutes to an hour before bed or an edible containing 0.05g of THC ingested 2-3 hours before bed.

Interesting, because that was my gut feeling on this. Made me feel like I was starting to think of it instinctively. That's a good thing, yes? Thank you for your confidence in my ability to pass this information on. :battingeyelashes:

The choice of strain would be a good indica that he likes the smell of. I'm serious about that. Let his nose guide the choice. I've a theory that the body will lead you to the strains it needs by sight and smell. What do you have to lose? He could end up giving the body more help than he thought. In all likelihood there's an underlying deficiency in the ECS guiding the disorder. I'd think a cannabinoid therapy can only benefit him.

He might want to explore trying capsules. If it can be controlled with a couple capsules of infused oil a day he wouldn't have to think of it. I don't know of anyone who's tried a capsule regimen for this condition. He'd be one of the first. It occurs to me that a capsule regimen might cross over from symptom control to potential cellular healing at the proper doses. Those tiny doses will help him sleep, but a system so out of balance that it expresses a disruption of sleep is in need of more cannabinoids than those doses will allow, IMHO.

I wouldn't go with a high CBD strain before bed. CBD is something of a stimulant and will keep you up longer than you'd planned. It's the THC we're chasing here.

The author, lucid logic, has a novel and positive attitude about learning to control the dream state that might be a good read for your friend.

Thanks for your input sue. He doesn't smoke very much, 1 - 2 grams a week and he only has issues when he doesn't. So it obviously works for him. As for strains and terpenes and such we have been giving him some of our crown royale which is India dominant and smells and tastes like a cheese strain. It isn't a very "heavy" high but we have quite the tolerance compared to him. I'll have an in depth conversation with him about terpenes and such and find something that works. It makes me feel good knowing that we are helping him. He said something about anxiety and depression as well so I'll see if some Durban poison will help for day time smoke. May also see about capsules as well.

Thanks again sue. Much appreciated.

When treating anxiety and depression at once I recommend trying for a 2:1 CBD:THC ratio. Also, a sativa will often aggravate anxiety. As my daughter explains it, the sativa revs the system up in a way that mirrors the cues her system gives her of an impending panic attack and out of habit she let them hit. It makes her nervous.

Her CBD meds are CBD Critical Care, chosen in part for that 2:1 ratio. With an indica she gets relaxation. She's been having a bite of the Candy Cane brownies I made for her before bed (mine hit faster :cheesygrinsmiley: ) and she sleeps like a baby now. Those brownies have helped her develop an appreciation for euphoria. :yahoo: I'm pretty sure my brownies are powerful medicine.

Good luck in your search. Let us know how it goes. :hugs:

Well the reason I said the Durban poison is because it helped me with my anxiety so I was throwing it out there. I've noticed that men and women handle strains differently so that could be a possibility.

I asked him what flavors or smells he likes and said he is more of a citrus guy and not a fan of sweet. Lavender and fresh brewed coffee are his all time favorite smells. Now to find a strain in our lineup or that we have that could fulfill everything. He said if it wasn't for me helping him then he would be on "crazy meds". Makes me feel good about that, that's for sure.
