SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

SweetSue, those purples are beautiful! Just recently, (from paging thru, reading some) I've even seen some blue ones! Pretty, pretty, beautiful colors! O I can see an obsession starting with me, too. I just need to keep that high CBD (or 1:1 to THC).

rikvasen! All purples? I'd love to see some pretty pix when they start to show their colorfulness! Congrats!
(I'm one of SweetSue's new CBD noob's... don't mind me, I ask lots of Q's)!

"Adventure calls"!
Dory
Well Blue! I'll sure let you know when I have nice pictures to show you guys! But well, I just ordered the seeds and they'll probably arrive tomorrow but we'll see. The store does mention that Ayahuasca Purple isn't easy to grow... But that's only good! That'll learn me a thing or two or seven.

You're probably resting and you so earned that. But I just wanted to say, most gratitude for your help. I made it to the end. I now have a legacy here. Thank you for impacting life in the SweetestSue way. Humbled, I really am. Shucks...;)

I fell asleep. :laughtwo: I think I lasted to about 2:45 AM. Lol! Sometimes they jump the gun. Those of us in the close race chew our fingernails and wait for the end, hoping the early well-wishes don't muck up the momentum.

Congratulations girl. I know how maddening that was for you. Well-deserved. :bravo: Now you'll need to prepare for the big contest in January. You think this one was rough emotionally. :laughtwo:

Good morning everyone

Happy Monday and Happy May Day. :slide: Fill your day with joy. Go ahead.....I dare ya. :laughtwo:

I wanted to share some pretty pictures. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I realized when I looked in that I'd neglected to lower the lights to 12". They've been growing almost 2' from the lights all this time.

IMG_62398.JPG

Now they're the correct distance, and I leveled out the canopy.

IMG_62405.JPG

Then I moved the meter away from the CFL light. Those high temps are because this was sitting directly above the bulbs, and they run fairly hot compared to the COBs. As soon as I moved it the temps registered dropped over five degrees.

I went back and hung a guide string.

Look at this hempy Carnival take off Tead!

Good internal growth starting. Time for something drastic.

Topped her. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I've been consulting with TheRedDragon about my Carnivals. I've watched him hit it out of the park twice now, and I've decided there's something to what he's doing. He recommended I do my best to get 16 tops going, and that begins with the initial toppings. Today I took the tops off the four leaders.

IMG_62526.JPG

I also took off the fans that I felt weren't doing the good they could be. Now the plant can grow better ones to replace these.

IMG_62518.JPG

Interesting aside; I eat the tops like candy and today I topped two different Carnivals growing in two different mediums with different nutrient sources. The top from the kit plant had a generic cannabis taste typical of what I've come to expect. The hempy plant was a totally different experience. I popped it into my mouth and immediately tasted the strong presence of linalool, a terpene I'd suspected must be part of the profile, although in my strains the limonene is the dominant terpene that I notice.

I find it intriguing that my hempy is apparently giving me a more exotic terpene profile than the kit. I'd have expected it to be the other way around. The next time I top the hempy I'll be comparing that taste. Maybe it'll carry to the end. :cheesygrinsmiley:

*Again, Thank you for being you. I swear I woke up with a hangover today and I don't party anymore, so my brain is not happy. But I couldn't be happier! I did it, I finally did it. I did something the dr's would never be able to predict nor support. I'm helping myself, thanks to these amazing members of this site. I wish I knew how to express my gratitude but I think I'll just show you by helping myself and others. January - another contest? Gosh, not sure I could handle that...lol. I still look at my title and take a big sigh, I worked so hard. Gonna pm you now...hugs

Girl..... :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

Hey sweets...you told me to check back in when I figured out the sock thing. Its angrybird that uses socks as starter pots. Pretty neat idea huh

Thanks Cannoisseuras. Woody stopped yesterday and shared that Jaga does too. Quite an interesting idea. Could be a money saver. You could drop them right into the soil and let the roots grow through. Less transplant worries. :battingeyelashes:

Are you aware Rex Pigeons uses bags they made from blue jeans?

I got carried away. :cheesygrinsmiley:

With the CBD Critical Cure clones this color restoration in the leaves is my indication that her roots have grabbed the soil and I can begin feeding her. :slide:

Well....... I discovered I'd made a tremendous mistake with this little adventure. As I was leaving the bedroom this evening I heard the lights click off in both tents. They weren't supposed to be going off together since one was veg and the other flower.

Then I realized the plant I'd topped today had been in flower for the past week, because I'd neglected to change the timer when I transferred the plants to the tent to finish vegging.

I can follow Dave Groomer's instructions for monstercropping and take a clone at two weeks. That way I save the genetics and have a nice bushy plant to follow her. If I'm lucky and work her right I'll be able to make up the loss I've inflicted on this one. With two of us consuming the strain production needs to increase.

Thank God I caught it now. Dave just shared this technique with us, and if I hadn't just been exposed to the idea I'd have panicked and taken a clone tomorrow. Dave tells me it would've rooted faster, but it wouldn't have given me the big plant I want in the end.

So....major screwup (you guys should be used to that by now :battingeyelashes: ) and the universe saved me by way of Dave Groomer and good timing. I don't think I'll make this mistake again. I can't believe I didn't catch it earlier. I can still hear the voice in my head telling me to "reset the timer now, before you close this tent up!" I didn't listen. Thank goodness it won't cost me the plant. I'm sure it's gonna cost me in yield. She wasn't ready, or more precisely, I wasn't ready for this.

This forces me to rethink the schedule and makes me real happy I set that new grow space up. Gonna need more soil.

You guys tolerate my stumblings so well. Thank you for letting me be me, and still loving me for it.

Good morning everyone

That threw me so much last night I went to bed at 11. Time to get up and face the music. :cheesygrinsmiley: Are we ready to play? Hell yeah!

Looks like you are growing bumblebees :)

 I suppose it does. Lol!

Hey SweetSue, just exploring the pond a little bit, thought I'd drop by and see how you're doing (: Have to be honest with you, your flowering girls look very much like a galaxy in plant form, made my jaw drop to the floor haha. Amazing work you've done. :bravo:

Thank you so much DankestBuds42. Sweet username by the way. :welcome: to the joyful journal. We'll just overlook the fact that I erroneously set two girls into flowering mode a month earlier than anticipated. :laughtwo: The DDAs make me look good every time. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Somewhere, a pessimist places a bet......

:laughtwo: You've paid attention over the years my friend. Lol! If I can keep a steady level of humor and don't take myself too seriously I may survive this. I'll do my best not to get too comfortable again. Lol!

You gotta appreciate the irony. There I was, cruising along, not a gardening care in the world other than expansion.

WTH, life's a big ol' science experiment anyway. Watch this turn out to be the best thing that could have happened, just something we don't yet understand the greater implications of. I'm waiting for lights on so I can reevaluate my flowering girls in this new light.

I still woke up this morning with a smile at the mistake. Looks like I'll have a Carnival harvest a month sooner than I was planning. Hahaha! How do you not get excited about that? I'm going out of my way today to create extra joy to balance out any latent frustration from my glaring oversight. In time I'll come to appreciate the way the cosmos orchestrated these events, and I'll be more alert in the future.

I say that, and we all smile, don't we? :laughtwo:

Joy, my friends. Let it bubble over into the lives of everyone you meet. May you be ok with it if that's not the way the day turns out. Everybody has ebb and flo.

I have a Brix foliar to mix and administer. Later. :ciao:

When you use jiffy pots or fabric pots and you just place the pot rite into the new pot that wont produce any transplant shock at all will it?

First off, I don't ever get transplant shock, so I don't understand the term, but yes, the rootball appreciates you not ripping it apart. HealingKronic found that he got more vigorious growth when he didn't remove them from the fabric pots. I've found that to be true as well, but I don't have enough one gallon fabrics on hand to play that way. If you do this be generous with sprinkling Roots on the outside of the one gallon before dropping it into the larger pot.

Not sure I do not have the wrong end of the stick. Can ya not put the plant back into veg? ASativa? right should re veg pretty well. Just thinking out loud.
Cheerios:cheertwo:

Exactly what I would consider. Light distance was out of whack for a short time too and might not have had much affect on the plants. Also there was a pair of CFLs in there for a while. I wonder if it was on the timer?

Woo Hoo....I'd just blame the brownies but I'd consider re-veg. Happens all the time for the outdoor grower using indoor plants.

It's been 10 days under 12/12 keltic. I'd hate to have it go hermie. This gives me a chance to try Dave's monster cropping technique and learn how to successfully clone a flowering mother. Can you believe the timing of his share? There are moments when the cosmos astounds me with the way it looks after me. :circle-of-love:

I'm gonna pull this one out of the fire. She's got at least a full two months to get through flowering, and already she's pushing out new growth. I like my chances.

IMG_62759.JPG

Plenty of cloning options. On Friday I'll pick one and get it started.

IMG_62779.JPG

She has a lot more going on than it looks like at a glance. I've opened her up as much as I can without splitting her to expose as much of the interior as possible. Turns out having the lights too high and the extra CFLs in there worked on my behalf. Are we surprised? :laughtwo:

IMG_627910.JPG

Yep, I like my chances with this girl.

IMG_62807.JPG

CBD Critical Cure 2.2 is just doing her thing over here out of the drama. Getting ready to stretch, from the looks of it.
IMG_62819.JPG

*sigh of relief*. Sometimes the blond in me gets the upper hand, but she's so cute and happy that she tends to get away with murder. I owe my guardian angel dinner out. :laughtwo:
