SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

Intriguing. More effective at what? Do you notice a difference in effect between strains?

The vapes I've used leave a lot of THC and plant material behind when they are done. I get a strong, long high off brownies made with Already Been Vaped (ABV) cannabis.

I think I will start saving my ABV now. I hadn't even thought about reusing it in medibles .
...

Never mind. I see you did post your "recipe". :thanks: I'll blog it for another day.

Rad, I have a jar full of Already Been Vaped (ABV) cannabis because I was convinced that there is still good meds to be had with it. Can you share your recipe for the brownies? Do you make cannabutter or cannaoil with the ABV and then just use it in the brownies?

That's not my experience, the place I go to is in an area with multiple dispensaries, so lots of competition. They have lots of strains and you can see and smell the flowers before purchase and the price is less than what I was paying in 1987. I suppose not all dispensaries are the same, and I haven't been to many, but the ones I have been to have been about the same.

I know Washington state was headed this way. I'm pleased to hear Colorado has bucked that trend. It's important to be able to smell the product before you purchase. There's so much the nose can tell you, and your body is more likely to respond positively to a strain you like the smell of. It's almost like your body will direct you to the proper medication.

I eat mine like popcorn. Why bother saving it? In my case, I'd venture to speculate that an ABV brownie, at any strength edible, won't hit me the way I've become accustomed to. :laughtwo:

Washington state could have been a beacon of light for the marijuana industry. Instead, it has been overtaken by greed. Lobbyist for the recreational side of the marijuana divide successfully drove out the medical side with money. Now, it's harder to get a prescription and you have to buy your medical marijuana at a recreational dispensary. They don't know shit about what strain effects what ailment. Meanwhile, you have to buy prepackaged nugs that you don't even get to see beforehand. It makes me sick to my stomach. Lucky for me I have all this HB weed to smoke to make up for it.

Miss you Sue.

I know I repeat myself, so forgive me i've I've said this before, but for 4 years we have made all our edibles (brownies and cookies) from ABV (Already Been Vaped.) We buy the family size (18 oz) brownie mixes that require adding oil (a carrier for marijuana) and then stir in 2 TBSP (aka 6 tsp / 30 ml / 1 fluid oz) of ABV. The vaping process has decarboxylated the marijuana and the 'green' flavor is toasted out, so ABV makes very nice edibles. No planning is required, just add the ABV as a dry ingredient and do everything else as normal.

At this strength, 1 brownie for light weights (me) and 2 brownies for heavy users is a powerful high. A good sativa brownie hits me like a good sativa smoke, except it lasts for hours and hours. For pain management, 2 brownies is good pain management and 3 brownies will help you no longer care about pain.

For a regular vape user, abv is free edibles. We save the ABV out of the vape in an old 35mm film canister. When the canister is full, it's brownie time. If for some reason the ABV coming out of the vape is burnt black, we throw it in the ash tray.

Hey Rad i just used 1 oz (3 pill bottles) of ABV and made 1/2 cup oil.
the 1/2 cup, 120ml was used in the brownie recipe. thats 8ml per brownie @15 brownies.

I ate half about 3 hrs ago and feel comfortably numb and I just ate the other half.
I just ate the second half.
I want to see what a whole one does before I give them out.

Sue set the bar pretty high by giving me one of her carnival brownies last week. mmm mmm good,

High Sweetie Susan and friends...I finally got a new journal started. This one will be perpetual and the first installment hopefully will show how to reverse sex a plant and produce some seeds. All is due time for sure but it should be damn good fun.

What's In Jim's Grow Room?

:bongrip:

PS. I make my brownies from 9 grams decarbed flower hand ground and straight into the mix. I cut the brownies into 9 pieces. So far they pack a minimum of 6 hours of extreme high wire fire.....almost too much for me as it will restrict activities like driving or mowing the grass.

Try a sativa brownie - I recently hand dug a 50 ft ditch in 2 days on 2 brownies made with Sativa ABV :) The wife and I did an amazing job installing 9 windchimes (restringing 2 of them) and 6 birdhouses (cleaning out 3 of them) on sativa brownies. It was a day of intermittent wind gusts. On the front porch we balanced the sound of 5' cathedral chimes with tinkling stars, indonesian bell chimes, a pair of gongs, and bamboo chimes to a harmonious blend free of cacophany and limitted to only one or two notes until you really start paying attention. Mid-sized and small chimes were tested and removed, positions were raised, lowered and shifted until we could hear a touch of the neighbors wind chimes joining ours. We then went around the property blending the remaining chimes. In some places, s ounds disguise conversation, bt it most they provide a harmonious undertone. - - I love a creatively collaborative experience on edibles :)

I did a light upgrade tonight. I started by copying the first frame Hash Hound built for SweetSue. Thanks Hash Hound for sharing your creativity. I'll share a couple of pics here, but I did a more thorough update on my journal.

Yes, I do keep the barre high. It's a hard mix to beat. I have this potentiated brownie thing down to a SweetSue science. :laughtwo: Carnival makes the tastiest brownies so far. I have to keep from eating them just because they're sooooo good. Lol!

:woohoo: Jim's back up and running. :yahoo: Can Graytail be far behind? :battingeyelashes:

I haven't yet hit a point of consumption that restricts my activities. Amazing, considering the sheer volume of cannabinoids I sometimes consume, but true.

See? Maybe this is why. I only consume sativas. Even my DDAs show strong sativa influences. This is how I accomplish so much. You guys have no idea. I've been so high most of today at times I couldn't believe it, and yet, I've just completed three straight hours of intense study on CCO, and the art of dosing cannabis for a myriad of diseases. I could never pull that off with an indica.

Sounds delightful Rad. I love windchimes, but my BIL, who lives downstairs hates them with a passion. In deference to him, I keep mine hanging in my bedroom, with a stick next to the bed that I can reach up and move them with when I want to hear them. I really miss having them hanging outside. Maybe this spring I'll do that. It's been over three years since they've felt the breezes. I think he can learn to love them, or just live with it.

Hey Jim. How does throwing the decarbed flower straight in effect the taste? I bet you have some regular bowel movements with all that fiber.

Cheers

Now be being a total idiot to the world of LED's,,, but I do understand max light per foot,, but these ones I see ya'll using,,, how much per light and 'heat sink' and ballast cost complete store bought? And whats the lifespan average? I've been seeing LED wattage creeping up to damn near HID wattage as far as actual power draws, with the same footprint coverage. I kind of figgure ya''ll'd know,, Keepem Green

Yeh, I like to just eat mine too.
Once the wee chamber has cooled enough to not scorch my fingers, out it comes and straight down the hatch. Yummy .

Leave no cannabinoid behind! :laughtwo: I always mean to wait to see if the edible part of the buzz had a deeper effect than the vaping part, but in reality I reach for the bong very soon after and it all gets muddled up in one long, continuious buzz. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Good morning everyone

The girls all wanted to say good morning too. :battingeyelashes:

I've decided to face the reality that I'm growing two phenos with the DDAs. DDA7 is obviously leaning toward sativa

DDA6 is more indica.

This is good news for SweetSue, an acknowledged sativa girl. :yahoo: The bonus is that she'll likely give a larger harvest than her companion. :woohoo:

I love the way things always work out for me. :green_heart:

Joy my friends..... Get out there and share it. Your life deserves the sparkle :hugs:

Well you do get a marijuana taste. It isn't intense but it's there. Actually it isn't bothersome to me as I can eat almost anything. BM always fairly regular.

I ate 1/2 brownie this morning and the high declines at about 5 hours. Good stuff.

HID is still the best bang for the buck. The 1000W double-ended Gavita is under $500 now and the knockoffs are under $300. That's less than $0.50 per watt. The white COBs are more like $1.50 per watt.

I'd advise against blurples at his stage, though, unless you really want to try some. The Mars-Hydros can be had for under $1.00 a watt, but you're a HID guy, and I'd go for a 1000W DE before I'd spend much on blurples - they're a thing of the past. White COBs are where it's at in he future.

As far as heat and wattage, you won't gain any advantage with blurples over a DE. The blurples would be just as hot. The COBs would be noticeably cooler.
