The humidifiers are working. I'm getting better at this. :cheesygrinsmiley:

When hemp rises again we're going to see major industries rupture, if they don't adapt quickly.

I'm sure they have plans in place. I think the alcohol industry is holding because of their historical issues with gov licensing and interference. I suspect that if the feds ever shift the laws, they have a bankroll to come into the game and chase out any small to mid size operations.

Damn money! Damn gubment!

In the spirit of transparency, I have to admit that for all my attention to medicinal cannabis and proper dosing for treatment, my personal interests revolve around how high can I get today. :laughtwo: To be able to start my day by looking over the stocks and have numerous choices as to how I get there feels somewhat like a bit of heaven on earth. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Today that choice was a Carnival brownie. :slide:

Well, I am back to a full flower tent. 4 girls, all 2 weeks apart from each other. :circle-of-love::peace:

Oh my God Dave, they're beautiful! :yahoo: Meds on the way - the best you can grow. Makes you kinda proud to use the kit, don't it? :cheesygrinsmiley:

Sue please pardon my ignorance on this but....

I get migrianes once or twice a month, and find vaping Cannabis to be ineffective. I treat it with an eletriptan called Relpax. It's a non narcotic non habit forming supposedly "safe" pill. It's also the last pill I'm taking and pretty expensive. Are you suggesting that CCO rather then simply infused oil might treat it? Taken orally?

Thanks,

Comparing THC strengths (using alcohol strength as an analogy) Smoking is wine, infused oil is whiskey, CCO is everclear 190, and vaping is light beer.

If your situation allows it, smoking cannabis or taking edibles (made with infused oil or butter) may be a strong enough dose to ward off migraines when vaping does not.

I find vaping more effective then smoking. I dont smoke at all anymore

Intriguing. More effective at what? Do you notice a difference in effect between strains?

The vapes I've used leave a lot of THC and plant material behind when they are done. I get a strong, long high off brownies made with Already Been Vaped (ABV) cannabis.

My primary use is for severe chronic nerve pain in my lower back due to degenerative disk disease and multiple herniated disks. For this type of pain I find vaping more effective then smoking, and edibles most effective of all, although I end up in the twilight zone. I do notice a difference between vaped sativas and indicas, but it's not as pronounced as my LP would have me believe.

I havent tried edibles for the (occasional) migraine because I typically saved them for really bad lower back days. Now that Im growing my own Ill be able to afford to try.

We use the CBD Critical Cure, and the euphoric effect is limited to a sense of wellbeing. The key is keeping a constant supply coming in. She got relief from migraines at three capsules a day. Everyone's system is individual. Growing your own supply takes all the guesswork out of the process and gives you the healing benefits growing offers.

I often feel that the growing is as therapeutic as the medication.

Im certainly enjoying it. Im also on a fixed income, and while growing costs do add up its nothing comapred to buying. I couldnt afford to even come close to the doses Id need if left to buying it from LPs or dispensaries. I also dont trust their products.

I couldn't agree more. For one thing, you can't buy as good as I grow. You can't buy the strains I grow. That future is still waiting to be realized. Consider a world where you could market your excess harvest to a local dispensary, making more exotic choices available to those who can't grow.

I wouldn't have been able to pay market prices for the quality I grow. That's a shame, considering what a half-assed gardener can get out of one plant. I did my best to ignore the set-up cost, understanding I was going to benefit greatly in the end. I haven't regretted one penny spent towards my goal of independence from the black market street drugs.

In many ways, that's what's happening in the recreational states. Prices are rediculous, and the product is sealed, so no way to check terpene profile with the nose, is there? We're back to "Give me your money and walk away, happy you could even find it." Somehow, I don't think this was where we thought we were headed.

Aren't you glad you're teaching yourself to grow your own? :cheesygrinsmiley:

For a hybrid stoned state, and for a sativa powered busy day, I prefer smoking. For the chronic pain of fibromyalgia, an ankle broken in 3 places, and plantars fasciatis my wife agrees with you that vaping is superior to smoking.

I know I repeat myself, so forgive me i've I've said this before, but for 4 years we have made all our edibles (brownies and cookies) from ABV (Already Been Vaped.) We buy the family size (18 oz) brownie mixes that require adding oil (a carrier for marijuana) and then stir in 2 TBSP (aka 6 tsp / 30 ml / 1 fluid oz) of ABV. The vaping process has decarboxylated the marijuana and the 'green' flavor is toasted out, so ABV makes very nice edibles. No planning is required, just add the ABV as a dry ingredient and do everything else as normal.

At this strength, 1 brownie for light weights (me) and 2 brownies for heavy users is a powerful high. A good sativa brownie hits me like a good sativa smoke, except it lasts for hours and hours. For pain management, 2 brownies is good pain management and 3 brownies will help you no longer care about pain.

For a regular vape user, abv is free edibles. We save the ABV out of the vape in an old 35mm film canister. When the canister is full, it's brownie time. If for some reason the ABV coming out of the vape is burnt black, we throw it in the ash tray.

I'm looking forward to my wife trying the CBD critical cure. It's at least a month before she heads into flower. This will be my wife's first high CBD strain. Thanks so much for the assistance and encouragement.

I spend more time growing than under the influence of marijuana, but I'm working on my consumption skills. Thanks for encouraging that too :)

I sure am, wouldnt have gotten this far without the gang though. You guys (and gals) have been integral.

I've been here 3 years. The gang has made growing possible. The gang still makes this enjoyable and teaches me every week. With just local resources and books, I would probably have given up about 2 years ago - there was a miserable 6 months after my first harvest (a good one) where I just couldn't make these plants grow. The gang pulled me through the dark hours.

That's not my experience, the place I go to is in an area with multiple dispensaries, so lots of competition. They have lots of strains and you can see and smell the flowers before purchase and the price is less than what I was paying in 1987. I suppose not all dispensaries are the same, and I haven't been to many, but the ones I have been to have been about the same.
