SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

Sue that is indeed the breakfast of a true champion. I'll be borrowing that recipe someday if you don't mind

Enjoy J. :hugs: We all have that wonderful CajunCelt to thank for this recipe. When you try it and it knocks your socks off, send him a PM of thanks. :laughtwo: The recipe creates either five doses of 200 mg each or four with 250 mg each. I'm going for the 250 mg cannabinoid load myself. Time to bring the mix back to a liquid form. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Sue,

The seed order arrived with seeds this time. [;>)

So,
could I get a link to the DDA community grow?

Define Spacey
Reading a complete sentence takes three tries. Short term memory loss is measured in seconds accompanied by a warm fuzzy feeling.

I never know

I would love to try this strain, just for the experience, and to try to pin down the terps that are causing this effect. I was looking at the lab report yesterday and wondering if it was the fact that the volume of the major terpene was equal in volume to the three that followed, combined and that each of the three were almost equal in volume to each other. Last night, before the Candy Canr laid me out, I came across a marvelous post at International Cannagraphic by one Seaf0ur entitled "The Terpenes of Cannabis Their Aromas and Effects". Google this one. The man did the best presentation of the information I've found to date. I'll begin tearing into it this week, and I may discover the answer to this little mystery there. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I'm sure it did keltic. :hugs:  + Reps for that save. :kisstwo:

Sue !

Thanks so much for posting details of the 'Ziggy frost-free refrigerator drying' technique.

When I can find some screen/cheesecloth, I'll jar up some of my 4/20 harvest and pop into the wine and beer chilling drawer of the fridge.

Good, I know you'll appreciate the end result. I'm absolutely stunned by the differences in effect. It seriously potentiated the Carnival. The Candy Cane was a new try for me, so I've no point of reference, but four hits last night put me between the sheets by midnight and I was out like a light. Slept until 6:30 this morning. :slide: I'll try her again tonight. I feel alert, without the standard indica hangover I typically get from indicas and, in fact, did get with a Candy Cane brownie. This may work for sleep meds for me after all.

Thank you Sue! Since the beginning of my grow hobby, I haven't been away for more than 2 days so that's pretty funny but the good thing is that I will learn how things like that work. I know Pigeons also covers these kinds of subjects on his YouTube channel.

This community is overflowing with members that'll help you sort it out rik. You did a great job with your first grow, and now it gets easier and easier every run.

So.... like... it just took me 3 reads to fully absorb that sentence.... a common thing for me. Shit.

:laughtwo: It had the same effect on me, but then I'll let myself off the hook since its within a half hour of opening the baby blues.

Good morning everyone:Love:

What a glorious day it looks like out there. Spring has just about settled herself in along the river banks. The views from my persh are now filled with lush green in all directions. :cheesygrinsmiley: It's Sunday. Let that joy bubble up more freely today. See how many people you can get to smile in a day. Hehe! That actually sounds like a fun game. Most often, when I'm out, I'm isolated from the urban madness with the music I choose to listen to. When I hit the river banks I take the earbuds out and listen to the birdsong instead. Maybe today I'll leave the earbuds out the entire time and pay attention to the people I pass.

Time to get breakfast into the stomach. :cheesygrinsmiley:

There ya go. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Ok now I'm hungry!! Love your journal Sue, so much good info and observations

Thanks DL. :hugs: I do my best to make it worth the stop. lol! The smoothie is just now beginning to cause little tingly rushes under the skin. :yahoo:

I transplanted the hempy Carnival. It went much more smoothly than I anticipated.

There's 6 grams of Osmocote Plus is scattered throughout the perlite, more heavily concentrated near the bottom. She looks happy. I'm excited about not needing to do more than pH correct water and add Cal/Mg.

*contented sigh*

Time for a shower and a buzzy walk in the sunshine to get this day rolling. :ciao:

Sometimes you need to get out of the house to appreciate how high you really are. :laughtwo:

Super easy isn't it?
How long were the roots?
Did you make a hole with your finger and put it in, or fill it up while holding it in place?
As with any newly created hempy pot, keep an eye on your drain hole... they commonly plug when the pot is new and the medium is shifting and settling.

I'll keep an eye out Tead. Thanks for the reminder.

The roots were to the bottom, requiring me to hold her in space while I gently filled in around her. Next time I try this I'll have the daughter take pictures. Wasn't gonna happen this time. Haha! Yes, amazingly easy to execute. Next time I'll do the chore in a basin to catch the overflowing perlite. I worked in the sink, so it wasn't too bad.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend my friend. Boy do I miss being able to go out to the beach and wait for you to walk down to smoke a j and shoot the breeze with me. Did I mention the Pacific Northwest is absolutely beautiful? :)

:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

Wow.... ya turn yur back for like 2 seconds around here.... and Sue's chopping and styling... damn nice!
What's your fridge quick dry method? I sometimes use a 170 degree oven, but it cuts the effectiveness in 1/2 and tastes like crapola.

Thank you so much for asking about he fridge dry method...jogged my brain real good there. After reading this 30 minutes ago, I went down stairs for a little less than 1 oz out of a 2.5 oz harvest. Amherst Sour diesel.

I usually do this stage of trimming when the weed is dry. Mostly damp popcorn buds are much more annoying to trim than dry popcorn buds.

With your timely prompting, I actually got some recently harvested nugs into the refrigerator for drying. Something I planned to do about 20 hours ago! Here are the nugs wrapped in cheesecloth and stored in the 'dark beer and white wine' drawer of the refrigerator (my drawer :) )

You must be not quite stoned enough: you can remember to retry something 3 times :)

That first hempy transplant seemed like it might be a delicate operation. I'm glad the surgery went well and the patient is not traumatized.

I find standing up is usually enough to do the trick :)

I think there are some unrecognized bonuses here.
First, your going from pure perl to pure perl and you really don't care one bit about material clinging to the roots or anything, so that makes it easier.
Second, the pure perlite really doesn't cling to roots nearly as much as other mediums. It's so easy to over-flood the pot and loosen the baby with a stream of water and some slight lifting. Usually the plant roots come out mostly clean and you're actually doing a bare root transplant.

Honestly, I think the plants don't even notice.

Have I told you lately how tempting that offer is? :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs: I miss the hell out of you. :kisstwo: When I move from here it's to NOLA. Just waiting for the stars to line up.

I'm glad you remembered Rad. I kept forgetting with each and every harvest. Ziggy tells me most people think this is a crackpot idea. I feel sorry for those who won't try. They look fresh, so the color should hold. And I agree, it's messier to trim wet buds off the branches, but I found it wonderful to take the plant and process it in the same day. It'll be a relief to have the drying out of sight.

Incredibly easy to do, once I took that deep breath and went for it. I only lost one piece of root in the process.

:laughtwo: So do I, but then I have this river right next door just begging me to come and visit, and stores to wander through in my ultra-buzzed state. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I'd have to say the euphoric effect from the smoothies is my second favorite buzz since I started growing, surpassed only by the speedy effect of the DDA super-decarbed brownies. I was laughing over the memory of my first experience with them. Cajun gave me the recipe and then recommended I don't go out around people for a while. :laughtwo: I got up that morning, all excited about what lie ahead for me, downed the smoothie and then remembered it was the day we were taking my brother to the airport.

I didn't have to drive, but that trip, trying to stay sane and keep my older brother, the driver, engaged in coherent conversation still has me rolling on the floor.

Mmmmmm..... The smoothie just said "Hello". :laughtwo:

Damn wino's..... JK Keepem Green

JK ofcourse,,, Keepem Green

No one here would think otherwise Woody. :hugs:

Well Sue your garden looks pretty awesome. It really looks tropical!

Well, I suppose it kinda does rik. Never thought of it like that. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Look.... I was able to eliminate her lanky stature. :slide:

Good morning everyone

Another day filled with joyful potential. It's a quiet day in the garden, brilliantly springtime outside, and I'm righteously high on this smoothie, so I think I'll take another walk to the labyrinth and get back to work on clearing the grass from the stones. You all have a wonderful day yourselves, and don't forget to take those occasional opportunities to make someone else smile, just because you were being your own delightful self. I'll be in and out, as is my nature. I'll see you around the yards and threads.

Joy...... get out there and share it. it'll increase the amount you feel, and quite frankly, you deserve that. :battingeyelashes:

That was what I was talking about. The way we have a tendency to psych ourselves out into thinking about the things that can go wrong, when we all benefit from looking towards a positive outcome, taking a deep cleansing breath, and enjoying the moment :)

I have plans to deal with financial affairs today. First, I'm going to do a bit of gardening to get my brain into a good space :)
