SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

Been a minute since I stopped by, but it seems that you are up to the usual except that your plants are looking better and better. Glad you are getting it down. I hope to join you soon. In a few months I am hoping to explore the CBD side of things so I will have to talk with you and show you what I am thinking before I pull the trigger on these beans. Super busy right now with other things, but look forward to talking to you soon.

It's great to see you growing multiple ounce plants - with or without the hash tips.

A couple months ago I accidently hit unsubscribe button but didn't see which thread. Can't believe it took me this long to figure our what was missing! Now if you'll excuse me I've got some reading to do.:reading420magazine::Love:

 :blalol:

I used to do that all the time. I'd fall asleep while surfing, the finger would fall, and then I'd have no idea what I did. You didn't miss me because we see each other all over the med threads. :laughtwo:

Welcome back KR. :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

Im sorry if this has been stated already Sue but wich model is that? I've looked over their website many times, drooling.

Are you asking about the Budmaster II COBx6 or the Timber Grow Lights Citizen Kit I just hung?

The Big City trip went well.

I had the Shark Shock and the Dwarf tested.

Cost being a factor, I went for the cheap test on the SS and standard cannabinoid and terpinoid test on the Dwarf.

SS values were a little low but in range.
SteepHill-Shark_Shock-cannabinoids.jpg

The more involved tests take a day or two to get reports back from them. I only have the Cannabinoid report for now. It is interesting.

The THC is a lot lower than I expected. I expected something in the 20-25% range. No CBD or CBN, I have never heard of. Without a reference, I don't know if 0.10% CBG is high or low.

After posting that tests were find-able on the internet, I have not found the right search terms to find them.

So what makes this pheno so spacey? Is in the terpinoids?

When I have the terpinoid test I will post it. My guess is that it will be tomorrow.
SteepHill-Dwarf_Ghost_Train-cannabinoids.jpg

You know I adore you, don't you? :hugs: :kisstwo: I have this weakness for test results.

I was just over at Medical Jane reading an article entitled "Cannabigerol (CBG): A Minor Cannabinoid With A Major Impact" by Drake Dorm. Great reading. The link is forbidden but those of you curious enough can track it down. I learned a lot about cannabis reading that short article. I highly recommend it. I'll be reading it again as I take copious notes.

Looks like the Ghost Train's CBG levels are typical, which in this case is good because CBG modulates the euphoria from THC. I'm interested in the terpene profile for this one Canyon. The explaination of the effect must be in there, because it's not in the cannabinoid profile. This was the first time I saw one with absolutely no CBD too. Curious, and exciting, don't you think? This gives you the potential for THC additions to other mixes. You understand where my brain's trying to go?

The more I understand the basics of the plant the more excited I get. It's making more sense to me every day.

The Shark Shock looks good. I could work with those numbers. With the daughter it appears to be necessary to keep the ratio close to balance, with any overage in favor of CBD. She's experimenting with THC, and those numbers won't cause any concern.

So we now know that this strain is testing true or close to breeders claims?

trimming bud at 420 on 420 smoking scissor goo and I'm still toasted 2+hrs later

MG31_420_trim.JPG

How on earth did I miss this yesterday? Oh yeah...... oil making. :laughtwo: Well done Hash Hound. Excellent documentation. How long did it take to trim her?

Wow! I missed everybody yesterday, didn't I? :laughtwo: By the time I was finished I was so exhausted I caught a buzz and went to bed. Got up this morning and started all over again.

Nice harvest and setup Sue! Can't wait to see how the new light setup works for ya!

Why thank you DopeyLemontree. :battingeyelashes:  The lights are keeping me and the plants happy. That bright corner in my living room is a godsend. :welcome: to my joyful journal. Grab a spot and make yourself comfortable. Do you grow, or better expressed, do you grow yet? :laughtwo:

Congrats on the harvest.. Sure looks like a nice way to spend 420 huh.. Happy 420 Enjoy and Keepem Green

The entire time I was harvesting and standing over the stove for hours watching the decarb process I kept thinking there wasn't a better way to celebrate 420. Made me kinda proud to be doing it so well. Who'd've ever thought this would be where life would drop me in the end? Gosh.....making healing oil has got to be one of the most satisfying things I do, and every batch of oil starts with a seed, lovingly planted in the dirt (or perlite :cheesygrinsmiley: ) and surrounded with joyful expectation.

I love this obsessive hobby we indulge in. Let's see to it they legalize across the board. Not by fighting. There has to be a more cannabis-friendly way, a more society-friendly way to get it done. Let's start with our own joyful expectation that it can be done and do our best to ignore the noise while we get on with the business of healing.

Lol! There's spots of resin and cannabis oil all over my iPad. I guess I still have a little cleaning up to do.

Good morning everyone.

Yes, I'm aware of the time, but we're close enough. :laughtwo: I've been busy this morning. Started with doing something about that rootball I had sitting at the foot of my bed.

Now I have a record of how much 1/6 of a bag of amendment weighs. It's easier to remember that it takes just shy of a full cup. Now to write that down somewhere useful...........

IMG_595512.JPG

That'll work. :cheesygrinsmiley: Added a handful of leaves and a couple scoops of EWC, about three pounds or so, mixed it all up and watered it in just so. I love getting up to my elbows in dirt. :yahoo: There's no better way to get the feel for the particulate matter and even hydration than sinking the forearms right to the bottom and shaking it all together.

Gets to be a bit messy in a bedroom. Ha! I recall once asking a member how he got away with mixing soil in the bedroom, and here I am doing it as a matter of course. :laughtwo:

Then I filled a few capsules and got back on my CBD meds. :yahoo:

IMG_595410.JPG

I have to say though, it's strange devoting so much grow space to a plant that doesn't get me high. Lol! It's conditioning. All those years of thinking of cannabis in terms of THC values. You know, before I came here I was completely cannabis illiterate. I wasn't even aware of the major components or that it was THC that got you high. I knew I had X amount of dollars and only one trustworthy source, and I never asked questions. In less than three years I've managed to learn enough to know what terpene profile I'm looking for to help a particular patient. It all started with two plants in a closet meant to do nothing more than keep him high until he died.

Whew! The hidden values of an open community.

OK, I still have some transplanting and drenching to do. Later. :ciao: :green_heart:

Terpenoid profile
I had lost hope of getting it today. They send email notifications at 11PM, it must be a bulk mailing thing. I just checked their sight and found it.

My brain is spinning too. I have two packs of non feminized seeds. One is Thunder Struck, it is marketed at 20/1 in favor of CBD and the other is Purple Mr. Nice. What would a DDA/Dwarf GT cross be like? Just dreaming for now.

I tried topping off some of the 27% mystery plant that I had tested with an equal amount of Shark Shock as a Wake and Bake. Normally I would not use it for daytime. (Hevy itchey eyes and couch lock) Mixed, it was a much nicer high.

I will post the test on my thread along with an update tonight.

Happiest belated 420 :hugs: Sue :hugs: and all....
Liking the sound of the term hash tips. Even better, the sizzling sound they're rumored make.

Okay I was just catching up on some reading.. great job on the light you n Hash Hound have done.

What effect do you say this strain gives you Canyon? The highest terpene values are for terpinoline, and it's a sedative. That wasn't what you communicated it was doing........ Ok, I looked back and you said "spacey". Hmmmm...... What in that profile would create "spacey"?

So much to learn. :laughtwo: I'll file it away for reference. Thank you for sharing with us here. :hugs:

Good afternoon Jacob, and Happy belated 420 right back atcha. :passitleft: Thanks.... Just in time. I hope your personal celebration of cannabis was adventurous, but in a delightfully safe way. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Loving the new COBs Sue :) The White is just so much easier to work with. Im hoping to build my second one this weekend after I drop off the boy...but first, I have to survive his first time behind the wheel :thedoubletake::helpsmilie::whoa::surrender::bitingnails:

mouser, are you still interested in getting the Advanced panel? If so, I'm ready to send it off to you. When we made that decision you were just starting to look at COB lighting, and now you appear to be every bit as enamoured as I.

Dave Groomer, did they grow out of iPad single seed? What a delightful anomaly. That's one you almost never see. Thanks for sharing. Feel free to drop pictures of them anytime. I know you're too busy to journal. :hugs:  I'm still considering that staff coffee shop. One of these days I'll surprise you with a PM. :laughtwo: It'll surprise me too. These days I seem to be so busy my head spins. This is a hobby, right? Lol!

Carnival 3 is now 49 days old. She and CBD Critical Cure 2.2 (Day 40) get vegged until 2.1 is done in flower. She has another 40 days or so until then. I'll probably flip them before she's done, but when she comes down they get split into separate tents.

I'll add another lamp with CFLs tomorrow. I still have one more drench to get done. CBD Critical Cure 2.1 is due for her first CAT. :slide:

I would rather it found a home with someone who other wise could not grow to their potential. When I originally was interested it was more of a 'lets see if I can fix this' than a need for more light :) That said, its a nice! panel and if you cant find a needy soul....
