Sue, I attended the job fair the other day in mckeesport. a waste of time.
you need to apply on line, the job fair was all about the company pure penn and the electrical union, security...

The majority of the people there, around a thousand+, were over 40, if not over 50. about 50/50 on the male female turnout at a glance.

The only guy I saw them interview was some old hippie looking guy. Why not a man or woman in dress clothes. I might have been the only guy with shorts and a t-shirt, lol

That's one long drive for me though. took me 40 to get there and 60 to get back, most of it stop and go traffic.

Too much fun for an afternoon. Lol! I can't tell you how thankful I am that work isn't necessary for me to live comfortably. This was exactly what Dale had hoped for me.

GrowCity, meet HashHound. Hash Hound, meet GrowCity. He's a vet with a young family. We'll have to make arrangements to meet, don't you think? For one, he lives with PTSD, and I have the CBD Critical Cure in rotation. I do believe he needs to try this strain. Cajun recommended it to me for my daughter's PTSD.

Hahaha! Yes it is. I won five major contests in two year's time, and then we have the most generous members who love to watch me grow, and love to breed their own. I've acquired an enviable collection.

I'm like a seed bank myself, in some ways. Lol! It's all a very fluid thing. Someday I hope to find myself in a living situation with more space to expand the gardens and play more with oils.

You decide to grow yourself and you can help yourself to the seed bank and possibly get some clones to start.

Just about everywhere. Lol! When I started growing I was buying most often from Herbie's, but they ran into shipping trouble. Then I started winning contests for MOTM and MOTY, and those titles came with multiple prizes of seeds from sponsor seed banks.

Then members' seeds started finding their way into my seed bank. I've met a fair number of members over the time I've been here and have developed friendships that include the joy of sharing genetics. When we meet, we tend to trade. Oh, I just realized I left off a couple more seeds, the ones I brought home from Jamaica. Excuse me, I need to edit the list again. :laughtwo:

Member Of The Month (MOTM), and Member Of The Year (MOTY). When you win MOTM you automatically get into the MOTY contest. Then I won a gallery contest in December that came with $300 in seed vouchers.

There are a number of contests running every month. MOTM you get nominated by members. The other contests you enter yourself.

Thank you. It's a humbling experience. I came here to document a grow. It's become much more than that over the years. This is my extended family, and I simply can't do enough to make their lives better every day. :circle-of-love:
 
Dropped a seed today I'm gonna try sprouting it in perlite. :cheesygrinsmiley:

It also occurred to me today that watering the hempies would be easier with a plant stand in the sink. :laughtwo: Sometimes the most obvious things go right over my head. Lol!

You know Sue a regular pot of perlite with holes in the bottom and a saucer of at least 2 inches deep can also be used like a hempy, and you get to see when she needs water or not

Ahhh... could be... sounds like a fun idea... but then you're exposing your res (the saucer) to direct light. This leads to growth of the bad kind.
