That is so interesting!! If the sativa does repress the appetite a bit, I will be happy. My appetite has been haywire and out of control for the last 2 years. And when I get anxious, I have a compulsion to eat (unlike most people I know).

So the THC causes those vibrations, huh? Again, I'm fascinated. Do you know what it's doing?

Even my scalp is - the feeling that my hair is standing up :) It kind of tickles when it happens. So whatever it's doing, it's doing it everywhere :P

:thanks: :Namaste:

Honestly, I don't know what causes the tremors, but I know it's from the cannabis. :laughtwo: Enjoy yourself Baby.

Over the last 3 years (since I have been using cannabis on a regular basis for my MS) I have lost about 50lbs. I haven't really lost much in the last 6 or 8 months. But I haven't put it back on either. I use sativas (c99 and carnival at the moment) for daytime, and I have an indica dominant strain of Train Wreck (Medicann) that works well at night. The fat stoner is just another stereotypical myth. :circle-of-love::peace:

I'm down to 165 this morning, a full 10 pounds less than this time last year. I use cannabis and Callanetics. I never diet. Between the two I'm growing younger. Those stereotypes aren't doing the nation any favors.

Good to know! So many myths floating around I can't wait to see dispelled. Honestly, though, even for those who DO believe cannabis is nothing but a way to get high and excuse Cheeto binges (mmmm..... Cheetos!), why judge it? I mean, that's just good fun. And unless somebody is murdered over the last bag of cheesy goodness, where's the harm?

Well, I'm almost 5 hours into my dose. No major shakes. Small vibrations here and there. I just went for a nice long walk and it was very, very nice. It is a rare, cold clear day in the PNW, and I enjoyed it. And I just finished last night's cupcake :)

I'm down 55lbs since I started growing my own. :)

There we go. Smash that stereotype. You're down 55, over how many years, if I may ask? Supergroomer's down 50 pounds, I'm down almost 50 pounds myself since starting to use sativas on a regular basis and consistently using cannabis that amounted to more than a gram a day.

Hmmmm.... Makes you wonder how many of us could make the same claim? It never really comes up around here.

So I had another question that I hadn't even considered before - "addiction" and withdrawal. The hemp oil had none of the withdrawal - at all. As a matter of fact, I felt best when it first was leaving my system. So after about 4 hours, it's like the hemp was metabolized but the good lingering effects were there for several hours.

This seems like it causes a sort of withdrawal after about 6 hours. I get kind of itchy and nervy and restless. Of course - I'll know whether this is really the way it is after longer use. I haven't had it long enough to tell for sure.

So, it's good that this will keep me on a steady flow, however, I'm curious about long-term use and then needing to come off. So, traveling, for example. Is it really a big issue for any of you? We are thinking of a trip in the spring, so is it something I need to prepare for in advance - wean off?

At higher doses like I take for cancer there can be withdrawal symptoms like headaches and nausea. At low doses that shouldn't be a problem.

I do feel 'let-downs' with some strains as it wears off. I'm on steady dose through-out day but in morning when I've gone 8 hrs without dose I feel slow and mildly hungover but if I wake up after 6 hours I feel great. That's not the same as withdrawal so not a sign of addiction.

Thank you! That's kind of how I feel in the morning the last couple of days, too. A bit hung-over. Not that it matters too much, as it usually takes me hours every morning to feel like I'm awake. I knew addiction and withdrawal wasn't quite the word I was looking for - so let down is a better word.

I've lowered my dose even more now - I managed to get some of the oil into a tiny dropper, so it's a very small drop. I think it's a better way to start. I think I'd rather take a smaller amount more frequently - at least that feels better right now.

I hope that the oils are working out well for you??!!

I start my day with a teaspoon of coconut oil in my coffee. I may have a brownie in the afternoon. That keeps me going till I get hope from work. Then it depends on what else I have to do.

Low and slow is always the best way to start. Then you find the levels that work for you. :) :circle-of-love::peace:

It's all in the dose!. For any of you that had a "Bad experience" it is all because you over medicated , nothing else.:laughtwo::green_heart:

:laughtwo: So true panacea. Lol!

My wife and I made the classic newbie mistake. We went back to cannabis after a hiatus from of 20+ years. Our first experience was with some sort of honey oil in a syringe that i purchased from a local dispensary.

Now, I had never used oil before...so i was unfamiliar with it. I squeezed a dab onto my finger and tried to hold it under my tongue and ended up swallowing most of it. My wife did the same.

So we waited about 10 -15 minutes and felt very little effect, so i squeezed out a BIG dab for each of us, onto a paper towel, and we both tore off the paper holding the oil and ate it.

It finally kicked in. We were laid low... I haven't been that stoned ever. I can't say it was unpleasant, but then neither was it a happy euphoric high... rather it was a brain squeeze and a body stone combined. We sat around for a few hours and then went to bed and slept like the dead. When we got up several hours later we were still stoned.

It was too much.

But, it taught me something: the dosage is important!

Since that experience we have only used flower tops and CBD caps, and what is left of the oil, rests in my desk drawer.

One day soon, I'm gonna try tacking it, first thing in the morning, and see how it affects me.

It was comforting to read here, that there was no danger from overdose.

Thank you for sharing that Danolo. I think it's important to hear these stories, if only for the reassurance others can gain, should they find themselves in a similar situation.

I encourage you to give tacking a try. You're all set to go. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Something that helps me, when I feel over medicated, is to drink a couple of large glasses of water and eat a teaspoon of peanut butter. Works for me. You could also try a drop of cbd oil which will reduce the effects of too much thc.
