SweetSue's Cannabis Oil Study Hall

Keith, I'm touched more than you know. Your courage inspires me, so we're feeding off each other.

I sent 22 capsules off to another member to test as pain meds. My friend has an issue with a beligerent and unyielding pain doctor who doesn't recognize cannabis as an effective pain med, so he won't be taking any until he gets the next visit and its accompanying drug test behind him at the end of the month. This rediculous and dangerous policy our federal government has adopted about cannabis is impacting his life in the most painful of ways, but it also gave us the opportunity to test it out before I got them to him. I'm holding my breath waiting for that test review.

In the end the batch made 184 capsules. With the capsule I took and the oil I simply swilled I'd say that amounted to three more, so I'm at nearly 80% recovery of the 1 cup of olive oil i started with. I call that a decent recovery. I'm not even going to try to guess the dosage per. He doesn't care about it and neither do I. Lessen his pain, that's what I care about.

God, I hope they work. He's in so much pain it's hard to sit by and not be able to do anything.

I had an old grouchy doctor, too. I changed doctors. Same clinic, tho, since they have my records in their system. The younger doctor doesn't seem to mind that I have cannibus caps listed on my herbal supplement list. In my opinion, it is the PATIENT'S right to accept or not accept treatment, and to explore natural substances to ease one's pain.

Unless the friend has to pass a drug test to continue receiving treatment, then he should not worry. Cannibus stays in the system (in the fat cells?) long after the last ingestion. I think the doctors worry more about a patient smoking it, rather than ingesting it.

Pain management requires a multi-pronged approach. In my case, I have less pain when I lay off the processed carbs, take my OTC's and take my caps on a regular basis. Every little bit brings the arthritis pain down a notch or two, so I can function. If tumeric worked for me, I would take those, too.

BTW, Sue: I harvested another BBL this morning, washed her buds, and hung them up to dry on a dowel in the kitchen, just like you did. You're teaching me good habits. :circle-of-love:

I read that over on your thread. Made me smile real big. :cheesygrinsmiley: You should post a picture. Everyone loves the sight of hanging buds. :battingeyelashes:

I always love coming by here in the morning. Such positive vibes, best way to start the day.

Keith -- Thank you so much for sharing all you have. Happy to hear your son is doing better and maybe just maybe you have found the light at the end of his tunnel. Coming from someone who is in constant pain even just a brief moment without is enough to turn your day around. Excited to see how upping his dose helps.

I was making up the capsules for my walking buddy today and realized I've been making the capsules Canna Montana's been talking about, using both olive oil and coconut oil. These are a base of the olive oil extraction of CBD Critical Cure topped off with the coconut oil extraction of the trim from a mixed bag of plants from my emergency tear down.

image16784.jpeg

I mix them like this because the CBD Critical Cure on its own puts her to sleep, so she uses them for her night dose. I make these with the additional THC to keep her alert during the day. This adjustment, which I pulled off in a moment of cosmic inspiration, work beautifully for her. I've encouraged her to increase to two of these capsules a day. We're attempting to modify the irritation she feels about others, a challenge brought on by ADHD. She's seen a softening of her reactions, but it was just minor. That gave me hope though that we may be on the right path.

Neat how they sit in layers until you move them about.

image16786.jpeg

Shaking it up mixed everything together, and it didn't separate out afterwards. I didn't do this with any others. I'm not that crazy to waste my time playing with the capsules. :laughtwo:

Tomorrow I have the Dark Devil Auto coming down, to be immediately turned into fresh harvest oil. Yummy. I'll do a bit of documentation on that. The apartment 's gonna smell fantastic!!! :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

I was going to take a pic, then I saw the rest of my living room through the pass-through under the cabinets. A dead giveaway as to who I really am. So, for security reasons, I chose not to take that pic.

It pleases me to hear the hall's a point of affirmation and joy to start your mornings off on the right foot. We're doing it right then. :battingeyelashes:

Are you finding pain relief with your concentrates?

I can certainly understand that. I play fast and loose with being anonymous. Cannafan once sat me down and gave me a concerned talking to about it, but it did little to change my behavior, I'm afraid. I encourage others to be more cautious than I am.

Good Morning!
Things pain wise have been good, I've noticed good results with micro dosing. I have also been taking a 10:1 every evening which has helped with my sleep. I need to find some time and put the olive oil I have in capsules and give that a try.

Thank YOU Sue!
Reading your life story the past two years on 420Magazine is what really gave me courage to post all this very personal stuff for the world to see. I would have been much more comfortable PM ing all of this, but you are here helping many others, and that method would only help me. I thought (for those offended by prayer), probably too much, and finally decided it was just selfish emotions, and that shouldn't hinder my drive to help my son live a better life. Most of what I have learned about MM is from situational dialog, advice or guidance directed a specific ailment or issue. I felt that PM was using you for myself, and not sharing useful information this whole crazy place is designed to share. We are similar in many ways I believe, and your posts during Dales' roughest times were inspirational and downright soul touching. You are one strong woman Susan. I am not an exhibitionist in general ... did a guy that plays and sings on stage in front strangers just type that? I'm not introverted in life or in person, quite the opposite in fact, but never would I have thought I would post all of this about my son on a an Internet forum! I truly hope it helps someone else someday.

You calling for the rest of your life seems obvious to me. It may morph and change slightly, but somehow I think you know what your purpose is for a few years at minimum. Life always seems to have it forks in the road and challenges that popup, but you, like I, take both the punches and flowers with gratitude for the time and experience. Joy and happiness are usually available for our choosing, most of the time, and we choose to be happy, one minute at a time if required.

I am so happy that this new path in medicine for my son has already increased his quality of life, more than I can express. If I detailed the medical hell my boy has been though, it would be 100 pages long and probably be depressing. As a parent with a child that needs help, I know you understand, another reason I choose to open up to you about a personal problem. I am so ready to move him to full dosage, but after a few years of medical knowledge I know better, slow and steady is the right method. He wants to up it quicker too which is the best indication of its worth to his health and life!

To be able to open up is a beautiful sign of feeling secure :)
I am happy I found the posts about your son,, I asked in my journal after you dropped by. And it is REALLY good news that he is feeling better with the capsules.
Karma and good deeds.. they go together :circle-of-love:

Good morning Sue. Guess what the pain cream works for? Poison Ivy. My friend's husband is highly allergic. A few years ago when he got it last, they had to spend several hundred dollars on prescription meds for him. This time they slathered on the cream and it is going away.

Just thought I would pass this little tidbit on. :circle-of-love::peace:

Why thank you supergroomer. This is wonderful to know. FYI, there's a plant that grows in wet areas called "Jewel Weed". Google it. This plant is the natural antidote for poison ivy. You'll often find them growing side-by-side in the wild, along stream beds. Break the stalk open like you do with aloe and slather it on the affected area. It'll stop poison ivy in its tracks in your bloodstream within seconds of applying it.

One of the prettiest wildflowers you can find too. When you see one you'll understand the name.

I just infused 2 cups (1/2 liter) of coconut oil with 33 grams of flower (a bit over 1 oz). I mixed 1 tablespoon of organic sunflower lecithin into it.

Will this be potent enough to put into gel caps? I think I'll give it a try on my birthday Tuesday and see how it goes. I know I should tred lightly... but how lightly should that be? :)

We see Jewel weed all the time when we are hiking. I had no idea you could use it for poison ivy. We look for it to show the kids the exploding seed. :) :circle-of-love::peace:

I think that should be fairly potent. I use 1g per oz of Coconut oil when using flower. I also add 1 tablespoon of lecithin per cup of oil.

When I make brownies, each one has the equivalent of 1 1/2 teaspoons and that is a good functional dose for me.

Hope this helps. :circle-of-love::peace:

Hi good folks of 420Magazines SSCCOSH, I hope you Labor Day weekend is going well,

I needed a bottle of Olive Oil for an upcoming CCO production and headed to my local Health Food store where I get most of my food. It's a place where customers get to know others faces and names, and the staff are well trained to engage customers in conversation. While perusing the selections of Oils (probably 75 choices) a regular stopped to chat and asked if I had read about Olive Oil forgeries. I hadn't and asked what was the issue, and she pops open her phone and opens a bookmarked folder of articles concerning Oil Olive fraud, both in the US and abroad. I decided to postpone the purchase until I knew more about the matter, and just finished thoroughly searching for articles myself.

It's a ripoff scene in which there are little to no regulations concerning the purity or authenticity of what is bottled and labeled as Olive Oil. Sunflower and other oils are colored and flavored with beta carotene and chlorophyll to look like Olive Oil. I thought if it was bottled in Italy, I should get 100% real Olive Oil. I was wrong! Since I can't link external pages, try a search engine with the subject, kind of disconcerting at minimum. Just thought that it was pertinent to us as its ultimately important in CCO.

Thanks for passing that along, Keith. Looks like I got lucky this last purchase when I bought California Olive Ranch's first cold press extra virgin olive oil.
