SweetSue's Cannabis Oil Study Hall

Fuzzy..... You reduced me to tears, you brilliantly articulate man. Welcome. I'm honored to have someone with your passion and talent for communicating your vision choose to join us. 2017 is off to an auspicious start.

I learned today that Gigi, also known as GreenGoddess and a talented oil producer in Michigan has joined the site.

Grow Goddess from Michigan Says Hello!

Finding this new passion on top of that is just crazy. I need to get out and support my ECS with a brisk walk.

Make yourself at home Fuzzy. You should already know, it's a space to brainstorm. Anything is on the table for discussion, within site guidelines, of course. I look forward to the months and years ahead. :hugs:

I only read the first few posts, amazing information and so informative. I'm going to collect one of the kids from youth club, make a coffee (not green tea but the ginger one sounds nice ) and get comfortable and have a read.

I am not sure what to think. I have a request for several bottles of cream. The person asking has found great relief for himself and his wife with pain that only opioids was touching. That part I get. He gave some to a friend with bad pain from a cancerous tumor in the lining around his stomach. I don't have all the details except according to the person asking for the cream, his friend started using the cream for the pain from the tumor. He got relief. He also just went for blood work. His numbers a month ago were 8.? Not sure what they were testing for. His new numbers this month are 1.3. He thinks it's the cream. I can't see how. I don't see enough cannabinoids getting to the tumor to put enough pressure to have any good as a cancer treatment.

I am just putting this out there. :peace:

Interesting and good news. I am no expert but a true believer in the magic of the healing cannabis can do:Love:

Just a supposition:

He gets this great cream that his friends rave about. It gives him immediate relief from the pain. He believes there might be more to this plant than everyone's giving it credit for. At this point we know too little about what cannabinoids are really doing and the power of the ECS to do more than speculate. But it's not a far reach to me that his belief sparked something in his ECS that responded to that tumor mass.

We're thinking of the ECS in limited terms, in how we can supplement numbers to help healing continue. We're missing the bigger picture that the system itself is an incredible creative power that has the ability - on its own and driven by the power of your belief - to heal the body of anything out of the ordinary. It's goal is homeostasis. Your job is to relax, have fun, laugh more, and let it complete its mission.

We're assuming it's going to take all these reserve soldiers to do the job because the system is sluggish. I'm beginning to suspect your belief system, which influences your visceral nervous system, can stimulate your ECS to fire up more efficiently. Theory. Just me putting it out there.

Cannabis is the stopgap to a healthy ECS. A fabulously effective stopgap that continues to astound me on a daily basis, but the ultimate goal is the awareness that you have this marvelous system evolved to heal you. Your understanding of the ultimate goal of a healthy ECS is kinda necessary to healing. Again, theory.

I suspect there's also something going on with the delivery systems of these creams we're playing with. They're helping in more ways than we anticipated they would. I come across numerous references that the creams are a constant in many homes. Easily accessible and affordable testing will be a sweet advantage.

Cannafan once had lab results, I believe from her or her dad, that showed the cannabinoids weren't passing into the blood, at least weren't detected. This deepens the mystery. :laughtwo: Sorry, didn't mean to complicate the issue.

In recorded history some believers anointed her deceased son with oil and three days later he arose from the dead. If indeed it was cannabis oil or a concoction thereof , the odds of the oil being absorbed into the blood were low as blood does not flow in death. Could it be the ECS energy, which Sue has articulated so well, flowed from the live hands, anointing the oil, into the deceased body?

No I am not a religious dogma freak, just saying...could have been a pure landrace bagseed from back in the day.

That's wonderful news Chewey. I was wondering if anyone had tried suppositories to get more cannabinoids in. This can be an effective way to increase the THC load. Alright, that's one case on record. Any others?

I'm up to 250 mg for my evening doses with maybe 5-10% CBD and a fair amount of CBN because I scorched one of the batches of oil. First dose allows me to have normal evening. 2nd dose stacks up and makes me a little loopy, but that's around bedtime so not a problem.
Daytime I'm using 80 mg with 25% CBD and no effects at all. I was using 135 mg with no CBD, had no effects when moving but interfered with accounting work when at desk.
All taken as suppositories in '00' size capsules.

I'm partly with Sue on this one, partly wondering what other treatment(s) this guy is doing. I've been assuming that the creme I make for my wife works as much by stimulating ECS in addition to the little THC in it. I'm not sure that it could stimulate ECS enough to fight a tumor unless it was still small isolated primary tumor, but can't say it wouldn't either. Also can't ignore the power of positive thinking aspect here, or the potential effect of other life changes on ECS.
I would love to get another follow up on this case, any background. A little over a year ago I would have dismissed this as yet another unconfirmable anecdote on par with urban legends. Now I see the need for further investigation to fill in the missing pieces.
Thanks for sharing SG.

There you are. :hugs: I'll take a moment to welcome you before I run out. I have a weekly walking group that meets in about 30 minutes. ECS support on so many levels it's delicious. I keep using that word today, but that's pretty descriptive. Lol!

Make yourself at home and get to know the rest of the crew. If there's any focus you need, this is the time to let us know. Otherwise, enjoy. They're a fun group. :battingeyelashes:

That's great news, Sara!

I hope there are no more hiccups for you and that gradually increasing your dose doesn't cause any undue anxiety.

I don't remember if you made this CBD oil or bought it but I'm glad it appears to be helping.

:circle-of-love:

Ok, so.

CBD oil.

I started a few days ago. I've been a bit traumatized and also nervous about being optimistic (I know, SweetSue, I know) so I haven't touched base with you guys or even my practitioner yet. I wanted to wait until I had been on this a few days so I didn't have conflicting thoughts every few hours.

Honestly? So far, so good. This feels like what I've been waiting for.

I'm soothed but not knocked out. There is NOTHING weird about the assimilation. The new Hemp I was using was already better. I really have no complaints about it. But this CBD oil gives me warm fuzzies. What I'm guessing NORMAL HUMANS experience when they drink some alcohol.

I diluted it 10x, just because I wanted to see what it's like. I am taking a single drop every few hours. I had gone several hours between drops yesterday and started to develop anxiety. I took a drop and within minutes the anxiety was gone. And I felt good enough to stay on my feet as I took it.

This "batch" will last me a few days or maybe a week. The next one I will dilute 5x. I'll work my way up and up as much as I can tolerate, so then I can start adding tiny amounts of my old formula in. My practitioner recommended 80% of my CBD oil and 20% of the 1:1. I will start out with less :)

Nothing mentally so far - as in, I don't notice that I'm happier or gigglier or anything. But if I can consistently keep anxiety at bay, that can only improve other things.

The next note was my menstrual cycle. Easy Peasy in general. No real pain, no real trauma. I didn't take any extra oil to deal with pain, because there hardly was any. I was able to move throughout. I even went out! We went shopping and to lunch. Trust me - it's been years since I was able to do that comfortably. So, I think that either the 1:1 I was taking for even that short time, or that and the hemp cumulatively, have already helped my body deal tremendously.

Chad, I wondered if the liquid sunflower lecithin might just be making the cannaoil too strong for you since its intent is to make the cannabis more bioavailable to you. Maybe like Sara, you're sensitive to increased amounts of cannabis so making it more bioavailable is just making it too strong for you? Does the non-lecithin oil work for you?

Thank you, Sue! From what I understand lecithin is converted into acetylcholine, a substance that transmits nerve impulses. If acetylcholine is a chemical released by nerve cells to send signals to other cells, maybe it's too much or is causing an imbalance which in turn is increasing my tics/anxiety?

Thanks for sharing this KR. Every post like this helps guide someone else. Made me smile. I remember how tricky it felt in the beginning. :battingeyelashes:

 :thankyou:

I certainly hope the same! I bought the oil - received it quickly and put it off another few days.

The only negative - it makes me HUUUUUUUUUUUNGRY. I'll be curious to see what it does at higher doses. The 1:1 full dose killed my appetite - at lower levels I was starving. I'm hoping this will be the same :) I went to the store just now to stock up on as many fruits and veggies and lettuce as possible, because the way I've been eating the past 2 days is going to do serious damage.

It doesn't help that I'm dog/house sitting for somebody at the moment who is stocked with all the junk food one could ever want!!
