Stinky Snid's Crop King Journal Contest - Northern Lights & White Widow

Huge Jorge fan! And I'm beginning to become a fan of yours Snid! So much information in that head of yours.

Going to pull up a chair here my man!

:nomo:

Lol... Thanks pigeons! Really feels like it's all crammed in there pretty good. That's from reading two of jorge's book and two other 500+ page books, also how to grow elite marijuana and a few other smaller cultivation encyclopedias. Then there's YouTube, and for the usual daily reads this great forum. This is By far the most resourceful site out there. Months of research was done before I started for real, experiments at first with bagseeds and now... Boom!

KiG :green_heart: cheers

Really means a lot man, I've looked up to the vets here for a while now.

Its a pleasure to be in your presence Snid.. Stinky as you may be.. lolz  Keep up the great work my friend! :high-five: :passitleft:
:thankyou:Stihl, I can only imagine what the future holds for this community. Such good vibes felt over here. :Namaste:

I do what I can to put it all out there, it's very humbling to me to hear folks commend me for my job well done. I have sure come a long way in a few short months, and it's only going to get Better. Especially with all the amazing knowledge that get passed around like a joint in a hacky sack circle :420mag4life:

KiG my friends:green_heart:cheers

Mar. 10th, simple day today... I'm tired and sore from work. Just going to do the basics and hit the sack for a little nap. Weighed, preened, and photographed.

Ellabella day 45 : 10.0 lbs
mar10ella10_0.jpg
so of the three Ellabella needed the most attention. Out of control growth is my enemy, doesn't take long before things get out of hand. Nips and tucks all around. Adjust the stakes and voila! A new and improved flux frame with topped tips and multiple secondary shoots reaching for the rim.

20160310_144427.jpg

If you see the bottom dual tips, those were the redest ones and now they're much greener. Foliar feed successful. I double checked my "soil" Ph to make sure the deficiency wasn't due to a lock out.

Winnie day 45 : 8.2 lbs
mar10win8_2.jpg
just going to let that mane grow out. I've let it rise above the canopy to hasten it's progress. I was going to top her there anyway so let see how this goes. Her end tips that were topped are struggling to make nodes. She's likely in shock, good thing she's a photoperiod :)

Leialoha day 37 : 8.6 lbs
mar10leia8_6.jpg
Looking lovely as usual. Human (clumsy pothead) error to report, I broke one her secondary shoots, it's taped on now but it's totally dead. Oh well plenty more where it came from.

KiG everyone :green_heart:cheers

Another vote for Jorge, and our friend Snid here.

:passitleft:

Jorge! Jorge! Jorge! It's awesome to have people like him who have decades of cultivation experience and the love to share it with everyone. And, If you da man RTK , then he's basically god in the cannabis world. Both of you played Such a intricate part in my development here, not to mention the others (Atrain, Sue, kidgrow, and the hundreds of other folks here that grow quality cannabis. But for sure he's been my super star idol for a couple years now. Love him!
Your training is impressive . If i attempted this there would be many more casualties :goodjob: +reps

Thanks rhetoriks, training is my favourite thing to do. Love they way you can shape and mold these girls into what you want them to be. A little overboard on Leialoha but :) it's all about learning and showing off what I've done, good or bad. Thanks again for the nice words.

KiG guys :green_heart:cheers

Mar. 11th, another training day for the girls. It's been quite the tough week for them in the Jedi temple. It really doesn't take long at all to have them undo their training over one full day. Weighed, preened and pics pics pics.

Leialoha day 38 : 8.2 lbs
mar11leia8_2.jpg
my darling child is looking really good with the fluxing. The broken tip is not going to live, so I'll make that one branch grow faster by leaving it above the rest of the plant. What I want is another shot to start at the next perpendicular node, so I can train that as a new flux shoot.
mar11trained.jpg
you can see how I left that branch above the rest of the growth tips on Leialoha

Winnie day 46 : 8.0 lbs
mar11win8_0.jpg
as for Winnie today she got a few fans nipped, and alot of tip management. Her lion's mane is still growing, I've pulled apart the two separate tips and cut off a few larger leaves. 3 out of the 4 topped end tips are now pushing out leaves, so far I've got 7 end tips. Waiting for one side of one tip to start. I've left that tip above the plant as I did Leialoha.

Ellabella day 45 : 9.6 lbs
mar11ella9_6.jpg
standard preening for Ellabella today. You can see how quickly she undoes all my training from the day before. This a good sign for me that she is getting akin to growing where I tell her to. I will continue daily training since she's responding so well. If growth had stopped I would let her grow out a few days between sessions.

finished for the day, sweaty and tired from work and play with the girls. Get ready for the weekend it's gonna be nice out.

But for now, It's Friday! I'm going out to have some fun. Meet old friends and talk about life. Will they be ever surprised when I bring them some samples to try of my Priscilla, and entice them with pics of Nadine. Off to get me medicated :Hookah:

KiG everyone :green_heart:cheers

Mar. 12th, just a quick update for you guys and gals today. Going to be out enjoying the warmer weather. Time change tomorrow not sure if I'll adjust my light times or not. I'll have to think about it, I added an extra 30 mins at lights on. I'm actually thinking of switching my autos to a 20/4 schedule. Any opinions??

Ellabella day 47 : 9.2 lbs
mar13ella9_2.jpg
no adjustments today, just a weigh in and a pic. All red tinge has now vanished and tip growth is exploding. Topped tips are now totalling 8 outer tips. :high-five:

Winnie day 47 : 8.0 lbs
mar12win8_0.jpg
let it ride... No adjustments either.

Leialoha day 39 :7.8 lbs
mar12leia7_8.jpg
I must have spilt some nutes on her she's got a white blotch on a few leaves. Overall she's still stretching out those limbs and looking very healthy.

KiG everyone :green_heart:cheers

Not sure about 20/4 on Auto's, have not really grown any yet, cant see why it would hurt them in any way as they will flower no matter what hehe. I remember reading somewhere autos dont really see any additional benefit from any more than 18h a day, but i dont know where i read that and if there is any truth to it.

Flux is looking sweet though mate, doing an awesome job :thumb:

Looks great snid following right behind you I'm on day 34 is 6.8 OK for runoff after 1st nutes dose

I'd say it's a bit high for a soiless mix. I'm not familiar with foxfarms soil your using. My soil ph is 6.5 neutral when dry. And can get as low as 5.0-5.5 once saturated. When ever I test run off its "yellow yellow" according to the stupid litmus paper test, which means 5.5 or less. I've got a sick ass bluelab Ph pen on the way, hopefully this week the magic pixie fairies will deliver me my new toys. So with all that said, 6.8 runoff seems quite high compared to what I've experienced. Take my thoughts as you may, I'd suggest getting a better opinion. Sorry I couldn't be more concise.

KiG :green_heart:cheers

Mar. 13th, This is my plan for both Tents. Auto tent is NOW on 20/4, I took an hour from lights off and added an hour to lights on. I did this in three days adding 30 minutes pre light for two days and then with the time change added an hour to daylight. I removed both Ellabella and Winnie and they went into the photoperiod tent where my Maria is finishing up. * FYI just harvested Nadine * The photo's tent is still on 18/6 but I adjusted an hour for time change. I did this by adding 30 mins before lights on once lights came on and they lost 30 mins at the end of the day for two days. Now they're on the same time schedule adjusted for the stupid daylights savings.

Since this journal has only been tyke like budporn, let's get some mature ladies in the frame. Just so you folks don't even need to search for Nadine's final report, here's her last days living.
20160311_155656.jpg
just once did she see the sun
20160313_094612.jpg
Chop, Chop....
20160313_110508.jpg
Snip, Snip...
20160313_111947.jpg
hang em!

So time schedule for autos has changed and the photos have been separated from the autos.... and I'm laughing and singing while I weigh in Nadine at 157g trimmed. (wet)

KiG :green_heart:cheers

Mar. 13th, well I'll just have a quick update today, I spent most of the morning cutting up Nadine(CKS's NL). And, as the weather is still nice and spring like. I'd like to do some of that spring cleaning. Simple weigh in and no training.

Ellabella day 48 : 8.8 lbs
mar13ella8_8.jpg
I'm just letting her get some momentum before her next major training session. I've elevated the slower growing tips and lowered the burgeoning ones.

Winnie day 48 : 7.6 lbs
mar13win7_6.jpg
I only removed a leaf or two within her lion's mane. It's clearly separating into two growth tips.

Leialoha day 40 :7.6 lbs
mar13leia7_6ph6_5.jpg
ok I lied, small adjustments to Leialoha, her secondary flux shoots are growing fast. Some are held down by the big leafs and some have stakes.

Here's to a successful harvest and many more to come, KIG everyone :green_heart:cheers
