Stealthy's NL/BB Hydro Grow

Yah only thing is you need a fan strong enough to push through it...but you could always go small scale I guess.

Im using a 110cfm bathroom fan and it definitely slows the flow of air my temps are still good though.
Ill get pics of its innards up eventually kinda busy now so im not sure how soon.

Just dont get the stuff with the white chips in it thats marble...its a PH buffer for water wont hurt but why pay for less carbon and some rock lol

Stealthy:cool: A man after my own heart, I really like the scrbr and would prob. only add a small booster fan to keep the temps just a lil on the safe side. All in all it seems like a decent piece of DIY ingenuity.:roorrip:

Stealthy, if you would, I have a question about trying to turn my light baffle into a carbon scrubber. I made the baffle just out of cardboard, it's got a couple different areas that air flows through which I think I might be able to add some carbon to. Does this sound like it would work to you? (I have some pics posted in my speakerbox setup journal, linked in my sig) I guess another problem I didn't think about before might be the stregnth of small fans that I'd be able to use, b/c I wouldn't be able to install fans any larger than 4".

Its not so much the size of the fan but the type... some fans are made to move air with little restriction like PC fans they are not good at making pressure. My bathroom fan is a little better its not ideal either.
Ill stop by and check it out though.

Hi Stealthy1:goodjob:

Man, what a good DIY guy you are. I almost bought a cabinet like yours, but had no way getting it home. You have done wonders with it.:cheer:
Too bad about the magnets being too weak. Good idea though.

I did the 36 hour thing before flowering and I couldn't see any benefits on it after doing it. Don't think I would do it again. Adds more time to the grow.
You can go to bloom anytime you want to. I would just look at my plant's height and imagine them 3 times as tall as they are now. They will double or triple in height in bloom. Be sure to take into consideration the space the light takes up too.
Hope that helps.
Like I said everything looks great. :yummy:

Don't worry, you build it and they will come. Don't think people have found your grow yet. they will come. You can always leave comments in other journals and soon they will want to see your grow. :grinjoint:

Thanks MedMan! Yah that Cab was insanely heavy even after it was gutted. But it had to look like a piece of furniture in my bedroom otherwise I would have bought one of those bigger utility cabinets from HD or lowes.
I put them into flower 3 days ago I think and Im anxiously awaiting signs of sex the have already grow a couple more inches since I started them on flower. I have 30" of grow room with lights taken into consideration. I hope its enough.
Not to toot my horn but DIY is my hobby there isnt much I cant fix with a paper clip and some bubblegum...jk
Family calls me McGuyver actually they mostly just call me when something breaks...lol

I started with cars trying to squeeze enough power out without spending money on off the shelf parts. After flirting with racing for a while (and occasionally crashing) I met my wife and bought a house and and I got into Ornamental Fish (mostly Koi) I made a pond on my property and the support systems that go with Koi keeping. Koi need very good filtration and create alot of waste of course you can spend thousands of dollars on off the shelf pond filtration systems(check the prices on Filtration systems for a 10k gal Koi pond sheesh). So I designed all my own systems I even had a 2000Gal tank in the basement for winter(Wife was real happy about that...lol) in addition to that I just have a general obsession for finding out how things work and I hate buying something I can build myself even if my project has to go through 3 generations and cost more than the off the shelf part occasionally. I find the knowledge is priceless. I really just have this dream of living in the woods and being self sustaining of course the wife says itll never happen.
Ok well thats enough about me lol Thanks for droppin in.

Hey Stealthy1
You forgot the duct tape. I can't live without it. Tells you allot about my DIY skills.:smokin:

Back in the day I did a bit of drag racing. I even when to a tire place and had soft slicks made. Guy thought I was nuts. We're talking 1960. Could pull a trany out and replace it no time.

Now lucky to get out of bed everyday :Rasta:

I do hope you reach your dream. I for one think it is possible. Solar and windmills, and many other things are now possible. :ganjamon:

Thanks Medman...
Yah duct tape is against my religion lol... Im a perfectionist with a temper, Sometimes I get it almost perfect then one things not right and I smash it in a fit a rage. though I usually stop before I grab the gas can.
Except for that time I was making a rabbit cage for floppy I burned that thing too the ground....too bad I forgot to take floppy out...:thedoubletake:

Isn't always that way? The biggest are usually male. Something to do with Murphy's law. :smokin:
