Yah they draw about 50 watts while off from what I read and you cant unplug it cuz it gets all screwed up =/.
Plus my wifes show wont record and that would be the end of the world you know...
I should unplug my HD-DVD player though we hardly watch dvds now or...LOLz HD-DVD what a joke this thing I spent 400beans on it and a year later it was obsolete ha can you say betaMax?

So about the boys... man I dont know why everyone worries about pullin these things as soon as they show balls theyve had balls a while and still waiting for some damn pollen...

the seeds... ok so they have all cracked like I said looks like 2 of them were rotten one was black (I didnt have hope for that one from the get go) I have seen tap roots on three of them now so Im going to stop molesting them and just wait now (last checked last night) man these free seed grow so damn slow... my NL/BB seeds had sprouted and grown leaves by now at the same point I think.

Yall think I can still get some decent smoke out of them?

Ok I know I said I would stop molesting them buuuut I had to check the ones that went growing.
Turns out 4/8 seeds wernt growing at all after taking them out of the rockwool looks like 3 of them were partially crushed you can seed the cracks in the shell now that they are moistened that explains the horrible germ rate I guess.
The other one that didnt grow looked fine but it had been bruised I cracked it open and it looked normal except for a black spot on the ..embryo?... which corresponds to a flat spot on the shell. this was all checking with a magnifying glass otherwise I wouldnt be able to see any of this.

The morel of the story here kids if the seed vendor says "will ship in crush proof packing" what they mean is we will throw some card stock in the envelope and hope for the best then deny any wrongdoing and well throw in some indecipherable bad english. on top of that we will mention about it being illegal in your country to try to get you to leave us alone.....lol

Hey Stealthy, sorry for the streak of bad luck you seem to be having - lord knows you've been doing everything right. My sympathies - I know just how you feel... Luck of the draw would indicate you're due for some good fortune so if any of those seedlings are still growing do press on!

Well, I have bought seeds from 4 different company's this past year and it is strange how they all ship so differently. Nirvana sends them in individual plastic bags with labels on them and then puts them in a really nice and soft tri-fold very well made hemp wallet. 5 stars from me.

Another Dutch company sent them to me in a mess. no real packing, just the little labeled plastic bags. They also sent me 20 free seeds in a small tin box that was empty. No stars.

I bought 5 single seeds from an other seed company and they shipped in a custom DVD holder that contained well labeled plastic bags and a bit of foam rubber around them. 5 stars.

The last company wanted me to buy a T-Shrit and then the would guarantee delivery. Guess that sums up their shipping. No stars

That's sounds like protectionism to me. If OUR sponsors are doing a lousy job then we should all know about it. I hope that anyone that gets a crappy deal from one of them is bitching to them AND the admins here and get them to straighten up and fly right. Now I'm thinking that maybe when I do have money to spend I'll just go spend it on anyone BUT our sponsors. It just tars them all with the same brush if we can't point out the one's that are giving lousy products or services. Almost as if they figure that no one can raise hell about it 'cause it's a quasi legal product and they know we don't want to draw unwanted attention to ourselves.

Makes me go . . . Hmmm . . .

well I would mention the company by name but cant remeber it off top of my head... but it was the same one that gives 20 free seeds... i didnt get a tin box though
The ones im trying to germ right now are the free ones guess they have to give yo 20 so far 3 have sprouted and look great ive put a few more into germ but I only think one will grow because they others I inspected before I put them into germ and they didnt look good one was black and the other was tiny and immature looking.

So to recap I started germinating 8. 5 of those eight were cracked/nonviable seed replaced with 3 more seeds.

but I think it has allot to do with packing obviously only had one of the NL/BB seeds that was cracked but these things are monsters compared to the free seeds there huge and hard like little BBs so they handled the shipping well. the free seeds are just sad by comparison on all aspects they germ slow have week shells and are tiny but I have to keep telling myself thats why they were free.

On another note picked of a bag of good name brand weed that had partially gone to seed (Male plant in growers room even though he buys fem seeds.) so it wasnt as good as it should have been and cheap I got 4 great looking leopard spotted seeds out of a q though so thats a bonus.

I will get some pics up soonish today or tommorow.

OK I got an update here.

Were gonna start of with a request here... People have been asking about the carbon scrubber I made well here are the pics! Not allot too it.

OK here I have unscrewed the straps and popped the top of the tub off

Here you see bottom of lid where air comes it I put a piece of cloth here as well so I can mount it at any angle. Notice it is just pressure fitted into the tub lid no sealant. If you dont have faith in you ability to cut a decent circle the right size Im sure rubber cement would be fine here.

Here we have the tub filled I might take some out so I can put the pipe in deeper

OK so now we have the inside of my space capsule....er I mean grow cab foam finally installed on back wall corners taped still need to cut new hole for vent plumbing. sorry about the cramp in your neck I forgot to rotate that one ...lol

Ok so My magnetic light rail was a flop but I reworked it and this is what I have works awesome way better than the chain (no sag). BEHOLD ITS SIMPLE BEAUTY!

Reworking the HPS fixture so I can install 2 bulbs and all a glass shield as well as ventilation
The ballast box is getting an outlet installed so I can just plug and unplug the bulb when needed.
Going to rig up and inline fan to boost airflow also this fan will be wired to fan speed controller and other fan will run full tilt.
I completely rework my pump setup will have pics and details soon

Ok so I got rid of my eco 396 pump in favor of my 1100gph pump man this thing has the power to blow my connections apart at full pressure. I havnt glued them so I can change the design when needed and to help with cleaning. though the valve that exits the rez will get glued now no sense in flushing ten gallons of water on my bedroom floor eh?

so its a bit more complicated but this allows me to use my venturi that I built (check it out in my sig)
Also I get much better spray pattern even with the venturi at full tilt.
The reason I like venturis is they circulate the water and they tend to mix in o2 much better due to the smaller bubbles and turbulence.

This is the Venturi inlet tube a restriction in the nozzle outlet creates vacuum which sucks air in through this line. I keep it in the tank though as any restriction in the nozzle(however unlikely) Will cause water to squirt out this line.

Here we see it in shallow water. see the frothy white water coming out of the nozzle? Vavle you might seen in one of the pics is to adjust the water flow to the venturi all excess pressure is in the main line for sprayers I can about turn venturi all the way up and not effect sprayers with this pump.

Im also going to running the rez at 10 gals now so its more of a DWC now also pump is going on timer. Itll be a bit of an experiment to see when root mass builds what the effect a venturi will have...might be too much turbulance but I can always turn it down.

So how is the system working as far as Maintenance and up keep?

Not to bad I have a pipe running to outside the rez with a valve on it to drain it. though it leaves about a gallon inside that the pump cant get which is fine unless you want to flush it or clean it then you gotta take it to the tub to dump the rest.
I think I got my technique down with the last run hoping this goes smoothly this time....Seedlings are going in later today
