Stanks Go Perpetual In 2018!

Once again amazing info on this thread Van, thanks for having it all in one place! Plants look great and JH is bushy as all get out :).

Just wanted to toss out that autos will flower in any light/dark cycle, but more light = bigger buds. That's why auto growers run 20/4 or 24/0, not because we like huge electric bills!

Yeah if I had more space in my veg tent, I would have that Jack in there but I don't so she is going to have to make do with 12/12 for a couple more weeks. Once my Blue Dream is ready for flipping I will swap the Dream and the Jack. I am hoping that 12 hours of sear your eye balls light is comparable to 18 hours under normal lights. If not, no big deal....its only temporary.

The garden looks great! With all the talk on soil, have you ever tried Vic's or subcool supersoil recipe? I had a couple of runs with it. It was kinda hot for some autos. But regs really did well on it

Hey Mi, yeah I looked at probably 20 different soil recipes (including Subs and Vics) and then read grows by growers trying them on different growing sites and made notes and I kind of broke the different recipes down item by item and decided to use a take things from different recipes. Many times I came across stuff I wasn't familiar with and it would require me to read on the new items and what they did and how they affected other nutrients in the soil and the microbes.

This is one of the clones I mentioned earlier that I use to make seeds. It's home is an under the counter microwave oven box lined on the inside with one mylar blanket. The light is a 100 watt LED purchased off eBay for $33 and change with free shipping. It's sitting on an old table so I don't have to bend over to tend to it. It is right at 2 weeks into flowering and I've been spraying that one branch now for 20 days. I expect to start seeing female pollen sacks anytime now.

BTW: That Stankberry is a winner. What a nice plant. Now if you could only find a brother plant of this lady and he would volunteer to give up some pollen and you were to dab some here and there on the girl you would be a step closer to a stabilized new strain.
Damn Beez, thats an impressive little plant for a solo cup brother! I like it!

I am not going to do anything with the female Stankberry. I want to see what other phenos are available in the line before I start making F2s. I am going to do something with the male Stank....but thats only because its a specific match to what I want.

Things are looking great van! That auto is a beast, and that stankberry has got some legs on her! Keeping up with this journal is a part time job though..
:nomo::ganjamon:

Hey Pjs420! Thanks for the kind words! No worries on keeping up with the journal. I know it moves fast....but I give lots of updates so if you missed anything, you will catch it the next time likely. I try to update each strain at least once, if not twice a week.

Sometimes we have some educational discussions that are worth reading but save those for the days you have some spare time if you want.
Happy Easter Van...looks like your having fun over here! Have a great day with your people sir!:high-five:

Happy Easter Duggs, just wished you and yours one over on your thread but I throw you a bonus one here too brother! Hope you are staying Black Cherry Punched!!

Happy Easter Van! That stankberry looks awesome, few more weeks and she’ll be filled out nicely and packing that weight on!

Hey CK, good to see ya brother! Happy Easter to you and yours as well. Hope you are enjoying your weekend Kid!

Yeah eventually I will get my paws on some of each. Ms Stank has been on me about wanting to grow the Black Cherry Punch as one of her future strains to grow. She is torn between it and Grand Daddy Purp right now but the more she reads, the more strains she adds to her list LOL. She sounds like me!

Ohhh Noooo

Tell Ms. Stank I know how she feels. I have a wish list of seed strains about 20 pages long.

Stankberry Male Day 56

Been a little while since I posted on him. He was suffering a little with the deficiency issue as well and I have him on a Cal Mag and Silica regiment and he seems to be getting better. That pretty much confirms that my soil issue pertains to one of those two things. He got a half dose of ACT today. I think one more feeding and he should be back to being his happy and healthy self.

He is getting ready to go into his new home in a week or two. I am going to flower him out as is and use him in a little project. He is going to get a big defoliation tomorrow. Oh and the cool thing is all his leaves will go in the vermi-compost bin for the worms (We got the bin today and started the base soil....threw some egg shells, carrot peels and tater peels and bread). If you are reading this @Blew Hiller , we are ready for the worms!!

Blue Dream Veg Day 52

She is recovering nicely from her 4 mains being topped a couple nights ago. She is in dire need of another hair cut which she will get tomorrow. She got about a gallon of ACT with about 5 ml of Cal Mag and 5 ml of Silica. It will be the last silica treatment for her most likely.

I am going to take a couple clones from her in the next couple days to prep for a couple upcoming projects.

Her smells are really starting to become more prominent and I am loving the smell. I figure I will give her 2-3 weeks before flipping her.

I don't like when my girls aren't deep green and healthy. She will get there in a couple more days. I know the issue and what to do for now so she will be happy and healthy real soon.

Harlequin #2 Flip Day 3

Saving the best for last tonight. Ms Stanks 1st girl in flower and she is really excited about it (she probably won't admit that here lol) and keeps looking for hairs already LOL. I love that excitement (we all do because we all know we love that anticipation in our girls) and love seeing her have that same excitement. All the training to get this plant here were her doing. I offered suggestions when she would try something but all this girls sexiness is from Ms Stank.....I claim no responsibility or credit LOL.

Harley got a drink of ACT with some Cal Mag and Silica. I know that she was transplanted before I re-amended the soil with calcium and minerals so I have to keep supplementing her with the Cal Mag. She will likely get one or two treatments of silica and then she will get cut off from it.

And here are the bonus shots for the week.....first up we have the two new worm totes for our vermi-composting. Right now, only the bottom one is up with dirt and scraps in it (waiting on worms). I will start the next bin here in another few weeks. They are 30 gallon totes. I have about 15 gallons of recycled soil in there with about a gallon of compost and some scrap. I have a big day of defoliating planned tomorrow so that will all be going in there.

And here are two shots of my Stankberry girl. I had her out to give her a big drink tonight and you can really see her structure nicely against the white wall. I am very interested to see how she will yield being this tall with this structure.

The worms are gonna dig that defol as much as Stank male does! Harley is going to be beautiful with all the pufffy pistils poking through. And Lady Stankberry is so regal looking grown straight up! So rare to see that these days!

Thanks Shed! I am really digging the Stankberry girl. That structure is great with this light....it penetrates to all the lower bud sites as well. I am truly thankful I flowered her about 3 weeks early or she would have been growing through the damn tent.

Totally excited for the worm bin too brother! LOL.....excited about worms, just doesn't sound right!
