Pretty much. Some are more sensitive, but the most they do is just blow of the input. Noone really ever says "that was bad idea" or anything. We all try to allow everyone to comment.
Id just look at their name and if it doesnt say "plant of the Month xxx" then fire away. ;) let them decide whether to use it or not...
 
Good Weed Spimp. Sucks that you are having problems.:straightface: I never could diagnose my girls blotches beyond a ph issue. The blotches did stop spreading about the same time I started the cal/mag on them though. Could just be a coincidence but maybe it's worth a try?

BTW, WAY TO EARLY OBSERVATION---no new leaf damag today. :wood:
She has self culled about a dozen fan leaves in the last two days, but ironically its been somehwhat undamaged fans that have been N drained to the point of curling. But I dont notice any spread of spots or new ones. :):):) We'll give it a few days to see.
Also she sucked up all the water I fed her yesterday. Shes already feeling lite again since lst night! This means if crap is gonna hit the fan from my feeding, its gonna happen soon. She also wont quit stretching! The main cola got strapped down for the 4th time today. Not much room to do so but I lowered her another inch or so.
Also Blue is getting spread out and strapped in. Ive been eyeing a laundry basket for Ghetto SCRoG 2.0... :) Although Mrs. Spimp may have other thoughts :rofl: I resisted the urge to water Blue yesterday, but today she will get some water at some point. Also pics probably. hey both are looking a little different from last round.

On another note, I have been researching HID setups and tents. The heat from 12 26w CFL's 6 inches above the plants is too much. This entire week I have been running the door open and a 5" fan blowing in there. Still upper 80's. This means Monday while Im at work Im gonna have to unscrew some of the bulbs. No way around it I fear. Less watts=less weight but burnt colas=Spimp unhappy. Damn Damn Damn.
Its a combination of things mostly size of grow box, height and depth dont allow room for the heat to rise above the buds. If my box was 5 fee high and I had that buffer for heat I could run even more CFL's but Im leaning towards a 400w or 600w cooltube/light setup in a tent. I"ll probably never come up with the monies to obtain the actual setup, but I may shut down the Ghetto after this run.
Im getting frustrated thinking that the same amount of time could yield 2x-10x with about $3-400 investment. Too bad thats 2 weeks worth of pay for me. Anywho off to the research lab...

Maybe. The current planter I have literally touch both sides but I could maybe squeeze two more lights in there. I havnt been able to locate any of the tube (nonspiral) type CFLs locally, but I havnt looked too hard. Is that the type of side lighting you would suggest sir Fish Cake?
 
Good friedday Spimp! With the tent, light, fans ect. I have about 1600 invested in the setup. Seemed like a lot at the time,but with the yield I'm getting it is paying for itself this first round. If you can find a way to go bigger I highly recomend it.:)

i know the investment will be well worth it. Its just the intial capitol thats the problem. Last year I quit my job and took a much lower paying day time position to spend more time with the fam and kids. The time spent has been priceless. But im living so paycheck to paycheck $1600 is a pipedream. ;)

Well, have you thought of trying some of the smaller LEDs, the little 12-14v ones that aren't enough one their own, but as supplemental to maybe 1 or 2 big CFLs? You might be able to keep the Ghetto running that way... just a thought. I'm moving to LEDs and going to try our sponsor TopLED first.
 
I have considered LED's. The low end lights ($40 range) seem kinda sketchy but the high end look great. But the investment for a $500 light is just too much.I have considered an LED panel for side lighting but the box is really cramped already it seems and I fear It may be a waste of $40 bucks. :hmmmm:
 
yea the low end range lights might not do what you want and good ones are spendy
but the hottest my tent gets is 80f
usually runs 78

Damn. Thats dreamy temps sir. Ive been tagging along BID's grow with topled and am envious of you guys who have them. :) Maybe the price will evenditually get down to the Ghetto range. :) :rofl:
