Thanks! I was looking at these vs i-power as well. Just had a reputable source tell me to check out the Apollos as well. Did you get an inline fan for venting Dharma?

No, no one, ran out of money lol! Two, I'm kind of hoping if I open the tent up especially as winter arrives, it will keep the temps moderate.

Let me tell ya Dharma What I see when I look at that crazy girl.
I see cot's that still look very healthy with alot of "nutes" left in them. This is a good thing. It makes me think she is just a slow over making sure her feet (roots) get big before she explodes up top. I also see nice leaves soaking up that light. :):)

She may not make it, but Im still betting one morning you wake up to growth extravagaza :rofl: Keep the faith!! ;)

BTW, It will be easy to cool off a tent at -50 outside :)
 
I'm running Apollo right now Spimp and I have no complaints so far except the inability to vent outside. Also, you can pick up an inline fan the same place as the lights for between 30 and 40. It was actually a better deal for me to do that when I ordered the tent and to go to homies and buy a can fan, a cord kit and some wire nuts, so I was cool with it.

As far as the rubbermaid cooltube ... check out the area where dish washing supplies are... you can find the smaller tubs in there sometimes. I use them for runoff.

I got the Apollo dig ballast & bulbs. Seem to be great. The ballast is dimmable & runs very cool. The 6" in line fan is pushing good & thankfully is quiet too.
 
Im assuming these ballasts will fire other bulbs and are not propriotery?

Also, someone with more lighting knowledge than me please sell me on 400w vs 600w. I think 1000w is just overkill considering I just want to supply me and mrs Spimp basically.
 
Spimp, the bulbs "are not" proprietary, and unless you have a bigger tent than I do, a 400 should be enough. Then again, you might go and get a pavilion and need more wattage lol!

I WISH!!! I just had the intial talk with Mrs Spimp and she was less than enthusiastic. :straightface: She didnt say no tho. :)

Dharma, did you do the round cooltube setup on your hood?

Spimpmiester you no what... Sometimes I find its best to just.... Go out and buy it... Then have the talk when she notices the tent and the 400 set up in the corner of the room :) what's the worst that is going to happen? Lol
 
a 400 watt dimable ballast would light a 4'x4" area, a 600 watt dimable ballast would light a 5'x5' area. cooling the High Intensity Discharge light in a small area would be the greatest concern, with a digital dimable ballast you would be able to dim the light if you are having issues with heat.

get either the 400 or the thousand the other is a waste of Juice for a small space and the 1000 will work later as you expand if you do
