Oddly enough, my egg just hatched and it's not a black Swallowtail.

Instead it is a species indigenous to Australia...

No, she identified it as the North American species. It was Google that tried to tell me it was the Aus one.
She even gave me the Latin name for it.

Are you sure that's what it is?
It looks like it has legs, eyes and mandibles. Like the larval form of something.

If you zoom in on the lower part you can see legs sticking out.

You should see my texts with bestie who got me on this...she's asking her Swallowtail people now. I said man it's different girl, you gotta help me out. Hopefully she will be back to me soon cause I'm going to burn it if it's anything bad lol stay away from my butterfly babies!

Ebony or Jacinda maybe, but I don't think so. They're both building, and the pistils aren't turning yet.
I'm thinking probably first week of October for Jacinda, but that's based on other grower's experiences as this is my first time growing Jack the Ripper.
Ebony is supposed to be a fast flowering strain, but if she were going to be ready at the 6-7 week mark I would expect to be seeing a lot of pistils changing colour by now. We'll be at the 6 week mark in about a week.
If she starts changing colour now, then I would think the end of September is likely.

Hey guys, I screwed my back up yesterday morning and haven't done much out there since.
I managed to get them watered yesterday, and the rain and clouds saved me from having to go out there today. I'm feeling like tomorrow should be better though.
