SoilGirl's Soil Multi-Strain Grow Journal 2014

I am not an expert in cloning by far here! Just wanted to throw some friendly thoughts regarding those sad looking babies. But think they don't like direct sunlight that much, if you can put them in some shade for a few days, away from the heat outside and the strong sunlight I think they will feel much better. Sorry if I am wrong  I don't want to give bad advice or anything so feel free to correct my non-scientific idea.
:high-five:

PS: The garden looks amazing!!! I would spend hours just sitting there with them :circle-of-love:

Yup put those clones in the shade definitely for awhile. Spray them with water in the shade too :surf:

PS Beautiful plants and update. :circle-of-love:

Thanks guys, I actually already went out and looked at them even more droopy so moved them to some shade, but I'll go spray them with a little water as well. Unfortunately they still look very sad :( hope they get better.
:thankyou::hippy:

Oh and P.S. I do sit out there all the time daT! One of my favorite things is sitting out there and reading - covered in bug spray ofcourse >.< evil little mosquitos everywhere. Right now I'm re-reading the whole A Song of Ice and Fire series (game of thrones) for the first time, I feel like I forgot a lot of it >.< ...right now I'm just starting a tolerance break from smoking for a few weeks til I go visit my sister in Denver... its brutal, and its only been like 6 hours since I finished my last chem dawg bowl...

:circle-of-love:
Will order those Game of Thrones books too soon! I would love reading them in English! But first I still have last season to finish :biglaugh:

I am sure you will be fine  6 weeks is not that much !!! :hippy: Am at 3 weeks or so at the moment, and still can go more, except my headaches disagree with me  I hate taking painkillers :/ they never work and give me tummy aches

-note to self...add Mycorrhizae to order list, by the way does anyone know a good brand of Myco to order? I want the best beneficial microbes to add to my mix, thanks!

Hi SoilGirl. Still enjoying your updates & pics, nice work you're doing. I use Xtreme Gardening Mykos & Azos and Ecological Laboratories (Microbe Life) Photosynthesis Plus. Love both but the PP is mindblowing.

It's one of my favorite series now :) I'd totally recommend it, it beats the show by far like any book series vs TV. But the show is still done really well despite some plot changes I'd say. I just finished catching up on the 4th season, totally the most cool one yet. A whole episode dedicated to the battle for the wall, awesome.

Oh god 6 weeks!! No way lol more like 3, maybe 4 for me :thedoubletake::laughtwo: Aw sorry bout the headaches daT! :hugs: I know what you mean...advil always gives me a tummy ache.
My Dad said weed wasn't a medicine forever until this last year when he had an accident at work. He's partially disabled now, has terrible back pain and spasms, and now is on his way to becoming a stoner since I introduced him to bubba kush for pain and sleep, he used to take tons of xanax and ambien every night to sleep, what a nightmare. Like literally 3-5 pills of each. Now he just smokes good old ganja :ganjamon: whoever says weed's not medicinal still needs to get with the green times.

Awesome, thanks bl!! I'm so glad you stopped by. :thankyou::hippy:

Edit: Oh I just wanted to add, since I moved them to shade and sprayed a little water on my little clones' leaves they are starting to perk back up!! Yay!! Thanks Lester and daT!

I am in favor of reading books as well as seeing the movie/series! I get really drawn into the story if I have a visual reference, and it's fun to see the differences etc.

I am sorry to hear about your dad :( but I'm happy he turned green!!!:green_heart::green_heart:
:circle-of-love:
My parents would never be so open minded, but that's them, they grew up with communism propaganda, and there's no turning back now :laughtwo: Though they did used to smoke too when they were my age :biglaugh: it's more like do as I say not as I do thing
I did manage to have an really opened discussion with my mom in law about the benefits of medical mj, and she was very opened to the idea of growing herself. I never mentioned I am, but she is very opened to new things and I love it. She has a huge yard, but she still needs a little "work" of convincing, I was thinking of translating some pages out of a cannabis book and giving her some reading material. She doesn't have many health issues, thankfully, but she would benefit as well. I will keep "working" her :biglaugh:

I know how it is to take 5 pills and still for the pain to be there, best medicine mother nature has is this wonderful plant, and who says I am committing a felony for growing it should get my headaches as a present :laughtwo:

Thanks for stopping by Growlow! I appreciate the advice for germinating! :thanks:
And totally 100% agree about organic, but Denver has a plague of poorly cured, Hydro only, non-organic dispensaries all over the place. Don't get me wrong theres still many great dispensaries, but 10 times as many crappy ones that have really cheap metallic tasting buds. The price is really their only selling point for those types of dispensaries, I've seen grams of their really shwaggy stuff go for just 2-3$... and I suppose it works because they get lots of business (I only buy hash from these places). But anyone who's ever smoked really good quality organic, or homegrown, knows that their stuff isn't worth a penny, and to spend the extra few bucks to find better stuff.

It's mostly young people that just want to get high that buy the cheap stuff though, there is definitely a trend for good organic/high quality weed that costs a bit more though going with some hipsters, or older folks that have the money or are really using it to medicate. They don't want the metallic hydro crap for that.

But I'm not saying hydro is bad at all, since I've joined 420 mag I've seen some really great hydro growers...just, the dispensaries I was talking about, aren't like that. It's all about mass production for them, quality is put on the back burner. That's why I started growing for myself, because I hated spending so much money to find good weed, plus I do a lot of gardening anyways.

I couldn't agree more with you. I work in the MMJ industry in Seattle with a big dispensary. I can tell you that they grow nothing but either hydro or soil with nothing but hard chemicals. It's what made me want to grow 100% Organic Hydro after growing outdoors in the tropics most of my life and then moving to "bet on wet" Seattle.

I managed two different stores and had an overabundance of patients that were searching for medicine without all the harshness. There is such a small market offering anything to the public the good organic grown medicine is grown by patients that aren't donating to dispensaries.

I share your mentality. I have multiple gardens in my home and most are vegetable and fruit. I love growing my own stuff and rasining my own food or what have you. Bit of a farm/country boy I must admit :)

GOT! Love it! Only show where I watch episodes more than once.
I'm totally with you there. I think I've watched each season but the 4th 3 times.

Hahaha growing up, my parents wouldn't let me go see Harry Potter, Narnia, Lord of the Rings or whatever else until I read the series. It frustrated me at first, but then I learned to love them for it. Reading just has a way of connecting your imagination to your soul.
For me, I really like reading before I get to the TV series/movies because if I do it the other way around (like I did with A Song of Ice and Fire/GOT) it doesn't let my imagination run wild and create its own vivid world, instead it replaces that with the world someone else came up with and I sorta feel cheated.
Luckily I started ASOIAF during the third season and finished it before the fourth, because I got to come up with my own picture of the children of the forest and Victarion Greyjoy and Crow's Eye, Meereen and Braavos etc. before seeing theirs. It just feels more "magical" that way to me, if you will. :laughtwo::Namaste:
That said, I absolutely love the way that Arya, Tyrion, Dany and her dragons, Ser Jorah, Ned Stark, the Hound, and many others are played and depicted in the show. Winterfell and The Eyrie are so cool. Can't wait to see their version of Dorne/Highgarden/Oldtown and the free cities. They really do it well, just some parts disappoint me after reading it. Like the giants and mammoths and white walkers and some other things just aren't how I saw them in the book. Aw well. I can totally see what you mean about the visual reference though, seeing the Wall and Winterfell and all the coolness of the first season totally drew me in ;)

Omg that sounds a lot like my parents haha. I grew up believing my parents never did any drugs, never got into trouble, and that if I ever touched a joint I'd turn into a homeless junkie one day lol. My parents used "reefer madness" tactics to scare me. Then in High School I smoked with some friends and my world was turned upside down, found out my parents used to be crazy partying druggies doing coke and smoking weed and dropping pills all day every day and always getting in trouble/thrown out of bars and drinking like mad and just on and on and on LOL. I personally think the whole "Gateway Drug" idea is a sham. The real gateway drug is being lied to. Do as I say not as I do Lol.-But I understand why they lied to me, they didn't want me to be crazy like them and go swinging and doing crazy hard drugs, the thing was, I tried hard drugs and they weren't for me. I stuck with good old ganja, and every now and then some shrooms/acid...:hippy: but I wouldn't want to do those often.

That's so cool that your mother in law is chill about it! LOL workin' on her are you daT?

Amen sister daTenshi! Let there be headaches for the nonbelievers!:rofl: Ok done rambling Lol.

Edit: Oh and thank you for your concern about my Dad, we're getting by! He just gets cranky and has a little bit of dementia, he had a head injury and went into a coma...had seizures that ended up wrenching his back, and thats his major struggle now. His back is finally showing a little improvement though, but head injuries are another story. I appreciate your support! :thanks: now if only we could get those bastards at Home Depot to pay up a little bit... sleazy worms, wriggling out of paying for a work related accident. -.-

I love that! There's so many cool people here on this forum with the same mentality, average people should really care more about what's going into their bodies. Most of the gardens in my back yard are non 420 related also, just good old fruits and veggies. I'm loving the melons we're growing this year, a few different types of watermelon and cantaloupes. A late frost screwed over our peach trees, only one still has peaches on it and they're itty bitty things >.<
But okra, potatoes, squash, peppers galore, green beans and tomatoes are growing like mad. They're so good, and grown totally organic, just with the local soil and hose water we have some MONSTROUS plants. We had some 10 ft tall sunflowers before they bent over, 10 ft tall okra, gargantuan tomato plants, you get the idea Lol.

I really hope I can get in the MMJ/MJ industry some day soon, I'd love to grow quality homegrown organic medical grade weed for the people that really do care about quality vs quantity. Growing illegally in highschool was fun and all but.. sketchy haha...too many talkative friends. Someone broke in my basement where I was growing in our old house, threw a brick through the window but our rottie scared him off thankfully... messed up.. ok I'm done rambling. But great post Growlow! Thanks for stickin' around :) :circle-of-love:

Sounds like a great garden you have there :)
Aw thanks Knots :thanks: but its only such a great garden because of my dad. Even as messed up as he is right now he got all of our bigger plants started early inside (except the sunflowers, they actually are wild!), so when it was time to go outside they were already well vegged out. I think the only reason my parents let me grow mmj in their house and outside in the first place is because they both are green thumbs themselves, and I convinced them that cannabis is a beautiful plant too. Not to mention they enjoy the fruits of my harvests as well hahaha ;)
i am so jealous
very nice work
keep it up
take care and good luck
Aww thanks Yuyo, but don't let me make you jealous! I'm sure you have beautiful plants/will have them soon! Be well and grow well :Namaste::peace:

they are beautiful plants for sure regardless of what we get from them :)
:Namaste: Agreed. :passitleft:
who needs books when you got SoilGirls posts! Damn girl, you pack more in a post than I do in my whole journal! :)
Hahahaha yeahhh..... I like to talk a lot. Haven't had too many people to chat with in person lately so I'm sorta using this as a chat area on my down time :) but let me know if I start to babble please Lol. :goof:

One day, maybe not the immediate future, but I'd really enjoy it... much more than being a pencil pusher for sure. If the offer came up I'd probably take it but in the meantime I have a lot to help out with here for my Mom and Dad.
