SoilGirl's Soil Multi-Strain Grow Journal 2014

1600, outstanding. You will have some monster yields. I can't wait to here you kick off that grow. We are getting freaking hail right now. Cool weather is awesome. Plants loving it. I wish you the best and happy growing to you

Thank you CO's Finest!! You and GFC officially inspired the purchase, with help from SmokeSara. I can't wait to get it started either, as much as I love outdoor growing, the seasonal changes here aren't too friendly to outdoor plants after september (sometimes even september)... and indoors you don't have to spar with those damn bugs the whole grow quite as much.
Happy growing my Fine friend :high-five::circle-of-love::ganjamon:

Hahaha glad to see you're enjoying that Barney's Critical Kush you grew so beautifully and organically COorganics! Save me some, that was one of the most tasty looking plants I've ever seen!! :yummy::passitleft:

I been smoking a lot of nice herb other people are growing lately too, seems everywhere in CO I go people have plants going. Killer stuff. Organic pot is also seeming to be the trendy thing for folks to ask for. I was blazing with a lady and she said she was trying to find similar organic pot to mine and she was willing to pay more for it, but was having trouble sourcing any. River rock Denver has sick organic medical pot for 300$, but that's pricy. I told her to grow her own and offered to help out a little. Everyone should.
Just stopping by and passing thru and rambling....

I know what you mean haha. Last time I was visiting my sister at DU, there was nugs in every dorm, some great, some..not so much, but you get what you pay for. Not to mention the tinctures and edibles and hash...geesh I took a dab the size of a marble. I had some great stuff that was from boulder, some organic Bubba OG too... god I'm getting a little stoned just remembering it. The nugs weren't too special looking, but the flavor and high was just out of this world. I also tried some organic Shaolin from "The Boulder Medical MJ dispensary" (that's actually the name of the disp) It was Delicious, and very strong.

Everyone should grow their own, its really hard/expensive to find anything that compares.
Thanks for stopping by, don't be a stranger!!:thanks::circle-of-love::peace:

It's been 85% RH for me for almost 2 weeks now, 99% at night and early morning. 80ish degrees F as well. Hot and Humid, good for early, mid flowering sativas though. Bad for late flowers. Surprised I haven't seen more molds lately.

Airflow, a healthy plant, and SNS-244 SNS 244 Fungicide Spray | Sierra Natural Science for veg mostly, can't really do anything about internal bud botrytis other than airflow :)

Ocean growing INSIDE a butterfly preserve can be perplexing... :passitleft:

Mate I feel your pain I used to grow in the Far North Tropics of Australia. 85-95% humidity 75% of the year with winter only getting to a brisk 68 generally but during the day it bounces between 90-100. Really close to the equator. I had the luxury of choosing where I planted and making sure it was in an area that was secluded but had constant breeze. In a mountainous region that's not difficult :):high-five:

Things are looking Great SoilGirl:thumb: In terms of germination I used to put my seeds between two well soaked paper towels with a solution of pH balanced water with a bout 1-2 mil's of Humic acid. I can say I have had about 99% success with that. Until I recently was at my grow store and saw rapid rooter mats and bought one and switched the same process to the mats and have had 100% success. So I can agree wholeheartedly with KingJohnC.:peace:

I wish it was the same up here in Seattle. I thought it would be more that way. I've helped change over a few peoples gardens to purely organic both Hydro and Soil. It just isn't common up here. But it is so much better in my opinion. I grow nothing but 100% organic medical pot and I will never do anything but. Not that I judge anyone who doesn't. It's just what works for me :)

Thanks for stopping by Growlow! I appreciate the advice for germinating! :thanks:
And totally 100% agree about organic, but Denver has a plague of poorly cured, Hydro only, non-organic dispensaries all over the place. Don't get me wrong theres still many great dispensaries, but 10 times as many crappy ones that have really cheap metallic tasting buds. The price is really their only selling point for those types of dispensaries, I've seen grams of their really shwaggy stuff go for just 2-3$... and I suppose it works because they get lots of business (I only buy hash from these places). But anyone who's ever smoked really good quality organic, or homegrown, knows that their stuff isn't worth a penny, and to spend the extra few bucks to find better stuff.

It's mostly young people that just want to get high that buy the cheap stuff though, there is definitely a trend for good organic/high quality weed that costs a bit more though going with some hipsters, or older folks that have the money or are really using it to medicate. They don't want the metallic hydro crap for that.

But I'm not saying hydro is bad at all, since I've joined 420 mag I've seen some really great hydro growers...just, the dispensaries I was talking about, aren't like that. It's all about mass production for them, quality is put on the back burner. That's why I started growing for myself, because I hated spending so much money to find good weed, plus I do a lot of gardening anyways.

Thanks MaPilot! :welcome:

Ok just a quick update today. :Namaste:
I've been transplanting and mixing together soil like mad today and just generally doing lots of outdoor work. I also got my replacement panel for my 240w lighthouse hydro flowering LED ordered, 90$ including tax so that I can install the new panel and get her up and running again. On top of that, got my Mars II 1600w LED ordered!!! :circle-of-love::yahoo::ganjamon: Sara should be processing it by tonight and it will be on its way! Can't wait for my next journal almost as much as I can't wait for my current plants to be ready to smoke!
-note to self...add Mycorrhizae to order list, by the way does anyone know a good brand of Myco to order? I want the best beneficial microbes to add to my mix, thanks!
Ok on to my pics: First off, check out UKH#2 aka Juicy Lucy in her new pot! The largest pot, yet, pretty darn heavy I gotta say...but I have help to carry her around ;) I'd say this pot is somewhere around ~8-10 gallons. The mix I used for all my transplants was 1/4th homemade compost, 1/4th tilled up local soil (the red sandy clay stuff), a lot of added perlite and ground up peat moss, and the rest good old Sunshine Mix #4 organic, watered in with clean ~6.8 pH rainwater. Juicy Lucy:

Now, a look at my middle sized UKH#1 and #2 clones loving their recently new homes.

20140724_150938.jpg

Here is BBK and Euphoria, newly transplanted to what will hopefully be their homes through harvest :) BBK is in the white/grey pot. Euphoria is in Juicy Lucy's old pot.

Just a quick peek at big UKH#1 while we're at it:

And finally I figured my little UKH#2 clones were ready for some soil. Here's some before and after pics, they're looking a little sorry right now but hopefully they'll perk up and start growing nicely in the next couple days.

And now just a family pic, if you look close you can see how droopy my newly potted UKH#2 clones are looking... makes me sad :( but what's done is done, I think they were ready for soil. They seemed pretty well rooted IMO.
